As mentioned in previous post, in this post I'm sharing more about my last short holiday spent in Logarska dolina (valley) that is located in upper Savinja Valley here in our tiny, but beautiful Slovenia.
The second day was about chilling, taking short walks, enjoying the nice sunny, warm weather and finding new hidden places to explore. The last third day was also warm, sunny when it was time to pack everything from an apartment and head back to Logarska, where we just couldn't have enough of the stunning magnificent view's of all the mountains surrounding the place.
Everything even hotel looks natural, it's a really cool, hidden, peaceful place. A popular destination for hikers, alpinists and bicycles. There is a lot more to explore, I have never actually went hiking on any of these mountain tops of Alps, but I do wish too one day.
Of course a correct hiking gear is requiered to be safe in the mountains.
After going on a short hike to the magical waterfall Rinka, on our way back a real sugar rush hit, when a friend mentioned a nice desert that is served in a local restaurant in the middle of Logarska dolina.
I'm always up for a nice desert!
After getting hungry, waiting for the order and watching the mountains in the background, it almost felt I was watching a film as the sun started slowly but surely going down.
On the road with really low traffic I had to take a few photos of my machine, just proud of it, as it got me through everything, mud, snow, out of danger - from my mistakes and never left me stranded on the side of the road. Keeping it well maintained all the time.
Tuesday was our last day spent in Logarska valley, we didn't just go home, we went to explore first by finding spring of river Črna, walking some more and resting on benches, while resting our eyes with all the magnificent views up on the Alps.
Right before we left, I found a poser that wasn't shy of taking a few macro shots up close. :)
On our way back home, we went to check out, to me a well known restaurant, where I know to find the third Dragon of the holiday. That is named Zmajeva votlina or dragon's lair for translation.
There you can drink local Slovenian beer and well made burgers to keep you smiling for days. It is a bit different restaurant, looks old, great place to stop before heading home, located in tiny village by the main road to Logarska dolina, named Nizka.
Definitely recommend trying out!
Truly was a great, quality time spent with disconnected head, far away from everyday stress, routines, and a nice way to get some well rest out in, with our mother nature and it's beauty.
Really grateful to be able to go on such a roadtrips, for all the great memories, good food and views. Hope you were able to rest your eyes a little bit as well, but definitely better to come and see for yourself.
