Today we will have a very interesting tour, which consists of two stages. First we will walk through the small garden, which is located near the Monplaisir Palace and the Bath Building, and then we will see the Royal baths.
HELP FROM THE NETWORK: The museum is located on the territory of the Monplaisir Ensemble and is a complex of ceremonial and household buildings built at different times on the eastern side of the Monplaisir Garden. The earliest building dating back to Peter the Great's time is the Guest Quarters or "Family Rooms" adjacent to the Monplaisir building. Relatives and confidants of the emperor were accommodated in the Guest Rooms. Despite the fact that the buildings of the complex were built at different times, stylistically they form a single ensemble with the Monplaisir Palace. The bath building is a unique museum, it gives visitors a rare opportunity to get acquainted with the everyday side of life of the imperial court.**
After we were led through the halls of the first part of the Bath Building (which I described in yesterday's publication), the guide took us outside and we immediately found ourselves in a very beautiful place. This was the very garden where the Tsar and his courtiers used to rest.
This place is ideally isolated from the rest of the Lower Park of Petrodvorets and represents a cozy ecosystem with its own design and layout. Here, neat trees and bushes grow along the shores of a small lake, the water from which first enters a narrow channel, and then is discharged into the Gulf of Finland.
There is a small fountain on the lake, there are benches and white bridges. Everything here is very beautiful and if you are an artist, you will definitely want to come back here with paints and an easel to make some sketches from nature.
After visitors inspect the garden, they are again taken to another part of the bath building. There is a sauna itself with several tiers, as well as a large swimming pool with a surprise. In fact, a swimming pool is a swimming pool with wooden walls and a floor. But the surprise is that there is also a system of taps that supply cool water to the bathhouse, like a fountain.
There are windows in the bathhouse and daylight comes in from all sides. During good weather it is very sunny and cozy here. In general, it turned out to be a very interesting tour.

Сегодня у нас состоятся весьма интересная экскурсия, которая заключается в двух этапах. Сначала мы пройдёмся по маленькому садику, который расположен возле дворца «Монплезир» и Банного корпуса, а затем осмотрим Царские купальни.
СПРАВКА ИЗ СЕТИ: Музей находится на территории Монплезирского ансамбля и представляет собой комплекс зданий парадного и бытового назначения, построенных в разное время с восточной стороны Монплезирского сада. Самая ранняя постройка, относящаяся к петровскому времени, – Гостевые покои или "Покои для Фамилии", примыкающие к зданию "Монплезира". В Гостевых покоях размещали родственников и приближенных императора. Несмотря на то, что здания комплекса строились в разное время, стилистически они составляют единый ансамбль с дворцом "Монплезир". Банный корпус – уникальный музей, он дает посетителям редкую возможность познакомиться с бытовой стороной жизни императорского двора.**
После того, как нас провели по залам первой части Банного корпуса (о которых я рассказал во вчерашней публикации), экскурсовод вывела нас наружу и мы сразу же оказались в очень красивом месте. Это и был тот самый садик, где раньше отдыхал сам Царь и его придворные.
Это место идеально изолировано от остальной части Нижнего парка Петродворца и представляет собой уютную экосистему со своим дизайном и планировкой. Здесь аккуратные деревья и кусты растут по берегам маленького озера, вода из которого попадает сначала в узкий канал, а затем сбрасывается в Финский залив.
На озере установлен небольшой фонтан, имеются скамеечки и белые мостики. Всё здесь очень красивое и если вы художник, то обязательно захотите вернуться сюда с красками и мольбертом, чтобы с натуры сделать несколько этюдов.
После того, как посетители осмотрят садик, их снова ведут в другую часть банного корпуса. Здесь расположена сама баня с несколькими ярусами, а также большая купальня с сюрпризом. По сути купальня – это такой бассейн с деревянными стенками и полом. Но сюрприз в том, что здесь же имеется система кранов, которые подают в купальню прохладную воду, наподобие фонтана.
В купальне имеются окна и со всех сторон сюда поступает дневной свет. Во время хорошей погоды тут очень солнечно и уютно. В целом, получилась очень интересная экскурсия.
В этот день у нас была намечена ещё одна большая экскурсия. В ближайшее время я расскажу о системе подачи воды в фонтаны Петродворца, а также проведу большую виртуальную экскурсию по подземельям и гротам. Оставайтесь на связи )
