Uno de mis géneros de películas favoritos es la comedia. Para mí, un criterio clave para calificar a una película de comedia como buena es que no importa cuántas veces que la veas, en cada ocasión te ríes. Las películas que comentaré a continuación, por supuesto, cumplen con este criterio, y es que no me canso de verlas y siempre me río de los mismos chistes.
One of my favorite movie genres is comedy. For me, a key criterion to qualify a comedy movie as good is that no matter how many times you watch it, every time you laugh. The movies I will discuss below, of course, meet this criterion, and I just can't get enough of them and always laugh at the same jokes.
Shrek
Creo que la saga de películas de Shrek marcó la historia del cine. Son películas muy conocidas y reconocidas por su comedia. Por otro lado, se sale de la típica historia de amor entre dos personajes físicamente atractivos con una relación armoniosa, y aún así se ha hecho querer por el público.
Mi personaje favorito: Burro es, sin duda, mi personaje favorito. Creo que muchas personas comparten esta opinión ya que no conozco a nadie a quien le guste esta película y no haya disfrutado este personaje. Para mí es el personaje más gracioso y creo que sin él la película no sería igual. Es un personaje fácil de querer por sus ocurrencias y su fidelidad hacia Shrek.
Película favorita: Fue difícil elegir, pero mi película favorita de la saga es la segunda, Shrek 2, cuando Fiona y Shrek están recién casados y van a visitar a los padres de Fiona en su reino, y les toca enfrentar varias situaciones que ponen a prueba su matrimonio. En esta película se incluyeron muchísimos personajes nuevos y pudimos conocer mejor a otros que ya habían aparecido en la primera película, así que intentar elegir el que más sobresalió es complicado ya que todos aportan en su momento un toque cómico a la historia.
Escena favorita: Toda la segunda película es excelente, sin embargo la escena que mejor recuerdo es cuando Shrek y Burro se transforman en un hombre y un caballo, respectivamente. Cuando Burro presume su belleza, esa parte es muy cómica jaja.
I think the Shrek movie saga marked the history of cinema. They are very well known and recognized for their comedy. On the other hand, it is a departure from the typical love story between two physically attractive characters with a harmonious relationship, and yet it has endeared itself to the public.
My favorite character: Donkey is, without a doubt, my favorite character. I think many people share this opinion as I don't know anyone who likes this movie and didn't enjoy this character. To me he is the funniest character and I think without him the movie would not be the same. He is an easy character to like because of his witticisms and his loyalty to Shrek.
Favorite movie: It was hard to choose, but my favorite movie of the saga is the second one, Shrek 2, when Fiona and Shrek are newly married and go to visit Fiona's parents in their kingdom, and they have to face several situations that test their marriage. This movie included many new characters and we got to know better others that had already appeared in the first movie, so trying to choose the one that stood out the most is complicated since they all bring a comic touch to the story.
Favorite scene: The whole second movie is excellent, however the scene I remember best is when Shrek and Donkey transform into a man and a horse, respectively. When Donkey shows off his beauty, that part is very funny haha.
¿Y dónde están las rubias?
Debo confesar que me divierte mucho esta película, es como un placer culposo jaja. Aún sigo esperando la segunda parte para seguir viendo las "ocurrencias" de estos hermanos.
Mi personaje favorito: Los hermanos Copeland me divierten mucho, pero creo que la película no sería igual sin el grupo de amigas de las hermanas Wilson. Sus personalidades, las veces que muestran como se supone que son las chicas "detrás de escena" y las reacciones ante los comportamiento "extraños" de sus amigas, me hacen reír muchísimo.
Escena favorita: La verdad hay varias escenas que recuerdo y me gustan mucho, sin embargo elegiré cuando las falsas hermanas Wilson entran a la pista de baile para competir contra las enemigas de su grupo de amigas, haciéndolas ganar y de cierto modo vengándose de las humillaciones que las han hecho pasar.
I must confess that I really enjoy this movie, it's like a guilty pleasure haha. I'm still waiting for the second part to continue watching the "witticisms" of these brothers.
My favorite character: The Copeland brothers amuse me a lot, but I think the movie wouldn't be the same without the Wilson sisters' group of friends. Their personalities, the times they show how they are supposed to be the "behind the scenes" girls, and the reactions to their friends' "weird" behavior, make me laugh out loud.
Favorite Scene: There are actually several scenes that I remember and like a lot, however I will choose when the fake Wilson sisters enter the dance floor to compete against the enemies of their group of friends, making them win and in a way getting revenge for the humiliations they have put them through.
La Era del Hielo
Otra saga de películas que me gusta mucho es esta. Además de ser muy graciosa, me gusta el hecho de que animales tan distintos sean tan amigos y hayan formado su propia manada; es un mensaje muy lindo e importante.
Mi personaje favorito: Aunque no siempre es el más cómico, Diego es mi personaje favorito a lo largo de las películas, principalmente por la evolución que tuvo desde la primera película. Sin embargo, un personaje inolvidable para mí en sus pocas apariciones es la abuela de Sid, sus escenas me matan de risa jajaja.
Película favorita: La tercera película, El Origen de los Dinosaurios, es mi favorita, entre otras cosas por la aparición de Buck que es un personaje que aprendes a querer muy rápido, pese a lo desesperante que puede llegar a hacer jaja.
Escena favorita: Esta elección se sale totalmente de la temática de comedia, ya que mi escena favorita es al final de la primera película cuando el bebé humano y Diego se despiden, jugando por última vez "on ta bebé?". Es demasiado tierna esta escena.
Another movie saga that I really like is this one. Besides being very funny, I like the fact that such different animals are so close friends and have formed their own pack; it's a very nice and important message.
My favorite character: Although not always the funniest, Diego is my favorite character throughout the movies, mainly because of the evolution he had since the first movie. However, an unforgettable character for me in his few appearances is Sid's grandmother, her scenes kill me with laughter hahaha.
Favorite movie: The third movie, The Origin of Dinosaurs, is my favorite, among other things because of the appearance of Buck who is a character that you learn to love very quickly, despite how desperate he can be haha.
Favorite scene: This choice is totally out of the comedy theme, as my favorite scene is at the end of the first movie when the human baby and Diego say goodbye, playing "on ta baby?" for the last time. It's just too tender, this scene.
