Surah Al Baqara (The Heifer) 2, Ayaat 8-10
وَمِنَ النَّاسِ مَن يَقُولُ آمَنَّا بِاللَّـهِ وَبِالْيَوْمِ الْآخِرِ وَمَا هُم بِمُؤْمِنِينَ ﴿٨﴾ يُخَادِعُونَ اللَّـهَ وَالَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَمَا يَخْدَعُونَ إِلَّا أَنفُسَهُمْ وَمَا يَشْعُرُونَ ﴿٩﴾ فِي قُلُوبِهِم مَّرَضٌ فَزَادَهُمُ اللَّـهُ مَرَضًا ۖ وَلَهُمْ عَذَابٌ أَلِيمٌ بِمَا كَانُوا يَكْذِبُونَ ﴿١٠﴾
And there are some people who say: We believe in Allah and the last day; and they are not at all believers. (8) They desire to deceive Allah and those who believe, and they deceive only themselves and they do not perceive. (9) There is a disease in their hearts, so Allah added to their disease and they shall have a painful chastisement because they lied. (10)

بعض لوگ ایسے بھی ہیں جو کہتے ہیں کہ ہم اللہ پر اور آخرت کے دن پر ایمان لائے ہیں، حالانکہ در حقیقت وہ مومن نہیں ہیں (۸) وہ اللہ اور ایمان لانے والوں کے ساتھ دھوکہ بازی کر رہے ہیں، مگر دراصل وہ خود اپنے آپ ہی کو دھوکے میں ڈال رہے ہیں اور انہیں اس کا شعور نہیں ہے (۹) ان کے دلوں میں ایک بیماری ہے جسے اللہ نے اور زیادہ بڑھا دیا، اور جو جھوٹ وہ بولتے ہیں، اس کی پاداش میں ان کے لیے درد ناک سزا ہے (۱۰)
