Surah Al Baqara (The Heifer) 2, Ayaat 17-18
مَثَلُهُمْ كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي اسْتَوْقَدَ نَارًا فَلَمَّا أَضَاءَتْ مَا حَوْلَهُ ذَهَبَ اللَّـهُ بِنُورِهِمْ وَتَرَكَهُمْ فِي ظُلُمَاتٍ لَّا يُبْصِرُونَ ﴿١٧﴾ صُمٌّ بُكْمٌ عُمْيٌ فَهُمْ لَا يَرْجِعُونَ ﴿١٨﴾
Their parable is like the parable of one who kindled a fire, but when it had illumined all around him, Allah took away their light, and left them in utter darkness-- they do not see. (17) Deaf, dumb (and) blind, so they will not turn back. (18)

اِن کی مثال ایسی ہے جیسے ایک شخص نے آگ روشن کی اور جب اُس نے سارے ماحول کو روشن کر دیا تو اللہ نے اِن کا نور بصارت سلب کر لیا اور انہیں اس حال میں چھوڑ دیا کہ تاریکیوں میں انہیں کچھ نظر نہیں آتا (۱۷) یہ بہرے ہیں، گونگے ہیں، اندھے ہیں، یہ اب نہ پلٹیں گے (۱۸)
