Новий день аби жити / A New Day To Live (UA-EN)

Усім привіт!
Через відсутність інтернета і вдома, і в офісі, випала на кілька днів з онлайн-простору. Та й, відверто кажучи, не мала бажання писати. Замість новин читали книжки, замість написання електронних листів підписувала друзям традиційні новорічні листівки. А потім загортала їх у яскраві кольорові конверти, куплені заздалегідь в Азурі, аби ті з Головпочтампу розлетілися "вітальними ластівками" до тих, кого люблю.

Hello everyone!
Due to the lack of Internet at home and in the office, I could not write. Instead of news, I read books and signed traditional New Year's cards to my friends. And then, I wrapped them in brightly colored envelopes to send them from the Main Post Office of Kyiv to those I love.

Пройшлася центром Києва, зазирнула на Софійську площу поглянути на цьогорічну ялинку. Ялинка скромна, але струнка, ошатна і красива. Особливо святково замість зірки виглядає тризуб. Мені подобається.

I walked through the center of Kyiv at Sofia Square to look at this year's Christmas tree. The Christmas tree is elegant and beautiful. The trident seems to me especially festive instead of a star. I like.

У квіткових київських крамничках пропонують покупцям придбати на подарунки трішки "бавовни". Як бачите, цей товар настільки зараз популярний в Україні, що його виставляють аж на вулиці. Креатив українців — це наша незламна сила, яка додає бадьорого настрою і віри в Перемогу.

Kyiv flower shops offer customers to buy cotton flowers as gifts. As you can see, these flowers are so popular in Ukraine now that it is displayed even on the street.

У сквері на Золотих Воротах уже який день поспіль слухаю, як вуличні музиканти грають музику з американського різдвяного репертуару. Так ніжно і лірично звучить "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas", що аж самій хочеться, повернувшись додому, дістати запрошені часом ноти цією пісні, і з головою зануритися у передсвятковий настрій. Бо того прагне душа.

I've been listening to street musicians playing music from the American Christmas repertoire in Golden Gate Square in Kyiv. "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas" sounds so tender that I want to get home, find my notes of this song, and immerse in the pre-holiday mood. Because that's what the soul longs for.

Ракетні обстріли й атаки дрони, блекаути і музика Різдва; похмурий гул генераторів, усміхнені люди з корпоративними подарунками в метро, діти на ігрових майданчиках після відміни повітряної тривоги — усе це якась небачена досі суміш абсурду і постмодернізму, в якому ми щодня продовжуємо жити. А ще працювати, творити і радіти, одночасно перебуваючи в паралельних світах. Хтось скаже, що це неможливо. Але я так не думаю. Бо вже маю цей досвід, безцінний досвід. І кожен новий день, аби жити.

Rocket attacks and drone attacks, blackouts and Christmas music. The gloomy hum of generators, smiling people with corporate gifts in the subway, children on playgrounds after the cancellation of the air alarm - all this is some unprecedented mixture of absurdity and postmodernism in which we continue to live every day while simultaneously being in parallel worlds. Someone will say that it is impossible. But I don't think so. Because I already have this experience, invaluable experience. And every new day to live.
