“Кіборги” – люди з більшим ніж в інших фізичним чи інтелектуальним потенціалом. Кіборги – наші незламні українські воїни, захисники Донецького аеропорту. Ще в 2015 році ми довели, що наша нація незламна ні фізично, ні морально. Першими кіборгами звали Героїв Крут, які теж боролися з російською ордою. Сьогодні ж, 16 січня, ми вшановуємо пам’ять всіх, хто боронив Донецький аеропорт, тих кого в усьому світі звуть Кіборгами.

"Cyborgs" are people with greater physical or intellectual potential than others. Cyborgs are our indomitable Ukrainian warriors, defenders of the Donetsk airport. Back in 2015, we proved that our nation is invincible, neither physically nor morally. The first cyborgs were called Heroiv Krut, who also fought against the russian horde. Today, January 16, we honor the memory of all those who defended the Donetsk airport, those who are called Cyborgs all over the world.

Подумати лишень – 242 дні під шквалом обстрілів з усіх можливих видів зброї! Бої за аеропорт у Донецьку тривали з травня 2014 по січень 2015 року. Військові, добровольці, медики, волонтери боронили летовище, проявляючи нелюдську силу та стійкість, незламність волі та духу. Цей подвиг навіки залишиться в історії, як приклад героїзму та стійкості.

Just think - 242 days under a flurry of shelling from all possible types of weapons! The fighting for the airport in Donetsk lasted from May 2014 to January 2015. Military, volunteers, doctors, volunteers defended the resort, showing inhuman strength and resilience, indomitable will and spirit. This feat will forever remain in history as an example of heroism and resilience.

В березні 2014 року Донецький аеропорт був взятий під охорону однією з бойових частин АТО. У квітні росіяни та сепаратисти намагалися захватити його, але успіхів не мали. Протягом всього літа тривала оборона летовища, значних боїв не було. А у вересні, незважаючи на так звані Мінські домовленості (які ніколи не працювали), розпочалися запеклі бої за аеропорт. Перші втрати українського війська в 2014 році – саме там, в боях за цей об’єкт.
Село Піски стало опорним пунктом для воїнів АТО. Через населений пункт відбувалася ротація та забезпечувався завіз боєприпасів та провізії для бійців. Щодня наші позиції обстрілювали до 50 разів, а той більше.

In March 2014, the Donetsk airport was taken under guard by one of the fighting units of the ATO. In April, the russians and separatists tried to seize it, but were unsuccessful. The defense of the airfield continued throughout the summer, there were no significant battles. And in September, despite the so-called Minsk agreements (which never worked), fierce battles for the airport began. The first losses of the Ukrainian army in 2014 were right there, in the battles for this object.
The village of Pisky became a stronghold for ATO soldiers. A rotation took place through the settlement and the delivery of ammunition and provisions for the soldiers was ensured. Every day our positions were shelled up to 50 times, and that one more.

Найзапекліші бої велися з 1 січня 2015 року. Диспетчерська вежа аеропорту, яка і донині є символом незламності, обвалилася під шквальним вогнем 13 січня. 16 січня 2015 року бій на летовищі тривав з 6 ранку до 2 ночі. 20 годин неперервного пекла… 17 січня наші незламні воїни відбили у ворога частину території.

The fiercest battles have been fought since January 1, 2015. The control tower of the airport, which is still a symbol of indomitability, collapsed under heavy fire on January 13. On January 16, 2015, the battle at the airport lasted from 6 a.m. to 2 a.m. 20 hours of continuous hell... On January 17, our indomitable soldiers recaptured part of the territory from the enemy.

Найбільших втрат наші захисники зазнали 20 січня, коли кацапи підірвали новий термінал. Причому, після 1 підриву, та повної руйнації злітної смуги, воїни АТО продовжували боротися та воювати. Вже після другого потужного вибуху, довелося відступати, та це була поразка бетонних стін і аж ніяк не українських захисників.

Загалом, за час захисту Донецького аеропорту загинуло більше 200 наших воїнів. Та попри це з 2015 року весь світ знає, що наша жага свободи та сила духу сильніша за будь-яку зброю.

Moreover, after 1 detonation and the complete destruction of the airstrip, the ATO soldiers continued to fight and fight. Already after the second powerful explosion, we had to retreat, but it was a defeat of the concrete walls and by no means Ukrainian defenders.
In general, more than 200 of our soldiers died during the defense of Donetsk airport. Despite this, since 2015, the whole world knows that our thirst for freedom and strength of spirit is stronger than any weapon.
