Today I want to tell you a little interesting about a Russian traveler, anthropologist, humanist of Ukrainian origin, who was a truly exemplary person and made a great contribution, especially in the study of human nature.
In the language of one of the tribes of New Guinea there are Russian words "Thanks to the anthropologist Nikolai Miklouho-Maclay.
At the risk of his life, Nicholas walked alone along the shores of the Red Sea. Maclay considered man to be the greatest mystery. It was taught because living organisms need to be studied in the natural environment. So he went to the south. ch. New Guinea. Aborigines were wary of Europeans. Miklouho-Maclay drew them to himself with restraint and patience. He cured one of them and was able to make friends with the tribe. Nicholas struggled with the humiliated position of the natives, dreamed of an independent Papuan alliance under the protection of Russia. With his commitment, kindness and determination, he was able to leave a significant mark in the history of the tribes of Australia. Residents still remember this good people. They call him a man from the moon, literally and figuratively. Papuans compare his white skin to the light of the moon at night. And also this name conveys Mykola's attitude to them - very special and friendly. The correspondent interviewed one of the natives. His words sound like this: He always kept his word, if he promised something, he kept it.
In their language, the Man from the Moon is written "Karam tomo".
During the expedition, Miklouho-Maclay proved: "There are no lower and higher races." Features of peoples are related to the natural and social environment, not origin. Leo the Fat wrote to the traveler: "You have proved that man is man everywhere."

Сьогодні я хочу розказати вам трохи цікавого про російського мандрівника, антрополога, гуманіста з українським походженням, що був дійсно зразковою особистістю та зробив великий вклад, особливо у вивченні людської сутності.
У мові одного з племен Нової Гвінеї є російські слова "Дякуючи антропологу Миколі Миклухо-Маклаю.
Ризикуючи життям Микола поодинці обійшов береги червоного моря. Найбільшою загадкою Маклай вважав людину. Його вчили тому, що живі організми потрібно вивчати в природному середовищі. Тому він відправився на Пд. сх. Нової Гвінеї. Аборигени насторожено ставилися до європейців. Миклухо-Маклай розташував їх до себе стриманістю та терпінням. Він вилікував одного з них і зміг подружитися з племенем. Миколай боровся з приниженим становищем тубільців, мріяв про незалежний папуаський союз під захистом Росії. Своєю прихильністю, добротою та цілеспрямованістю він зміг залишити вагомий слід в історії племен Австралії. Жителі до тепер пам'ятають цю добру люди. Вони називають його людиною з Місяця, в прямому та переносному значенні. Папуаси порівнюють його білу шкіру зі світлом місяця в ночі. А також ця назва передає ставлення Миколи до них — дуже особливе та приязне. Кореспондент взяв інтерв'ю в одного з корінних жителів. Його слова звучать так: Він завжди дотримував слово, якщо щось пообіцяв — виконував.
Їхньою мовою Людина з Місяця пишеться "Karam tomo".
За час експедиції Миклухо-Маклай довів: "Нижчих і вищих рас не існує". Особливості народів пов'язані з природним і соціальним середовищем, а не походженням. Лев Товстий писав мандрівникові: "Ви довели, що людина — всюди людина".
