Січень для мене - це період активного відвідування театрів та кіно. Гуляти на вулиці довго не вийде, а от в теплій театральній залі дуже затишно - і цікаво.
Хто читає мої дописи вже протягом певного часу знає, що я люблю Театр на Подолі. Тож свою ковідну тисячу недовго думаючи витратила на квитки! Розказуватуми про враження від вистав і почну з "Механічного апельсину".

Anyone who has been reading my posts for some time now knows that I love the Theatre on Podil. So I've spent my COVID 1000 UAH on tickets without hesitation. I'll talk about my impressions of the performances and I'll start with "Clockwork Orange".
Це вистава за мотивами однойменного роману Ентоні Берджеса. Твір досить відомий, ви могли про нього чути. В середині минулого століття вийшов фільм Стенлі Кубріка за цим романом - теж раджу подивитися. Сам роман цікаво читати з лінгвістичної точки зору, бо він містить багато запозичень, кальок та транслітерацій - цікаво порівнювати переклад та оригінал.
This is a play based on the novel of the same name by Anthony Burgess. The work is quite famous, you could have heard about it. Stanley Kubrick's film based on this novel was released in the middle of the last century - I also advise you to watch it. The novel itself is interesting to read from a linguistic point of view, because it contains many borrowings, calques and transliterations. It is interesting to compare the translation and the original.
Історія досить важка, з почуттям легкості та натхнення ви з зали не вийдете. У виставі є постріли, сцени насилля та багато жорстокості. Незважаючи на це, мені дуже сподобалася режисерська робота: те, як представили різні точки зору, як змусили глядача переміщатися в часі, як майстерно підкреслювали ті моменти та речі, які хотілось підкреслити, як вдалося розкрити кожного героя та прожити історію з ним. Це - вистава про соціальні проблеми, про проблеми виховання, психіки, мотивації до певних вчинків, а також великою мірою про науку та її етичність. Важко розповідати без спойлерів, але якщо ви б хотіли подивитися щось "на подумати", щось філософське та без рожевих окулярів, що варте вашої уваги - раджу.
The story is quite difficult, and you won't leave the place light-hearted and inspired. The play features shots, scenes of rape and a lot of violence. Nevertheless, I really enjoyed directing: how they presented different points of view, how they made the audience move through time, how they skillfully emphasized the moments and things they wanted to emphasize, how they managed to reveal each character and make us live their stories. It is a play about social problems, about the problems of upbringing, psychology, motivation for certain actions, as well as largely about science and its ethics. It's hard to tell without spoilers, but if you want to see something that's 'food for thought', something philosophical and without pink glasses, which is worth your attention, this one is my strong recommendation.
