It has been relatively quiet in Kyiv for many days. But, of course, regular air raid sirens do not let you forget about the war. I am afraid to even talk about this silence, so as not to break it (although I do not believe in superstitious).
В Києві вже багато днів відносно тихо. Але, звісно, регулярні повітряні тривоги не дають забути про війну. Боюся навіть говорити про цю тишу, аби її не порушувати (хоч я і не вірю в забобони).

Sometimes it seems that the situation in the country is improving. I understand that the general public is not informed about the losses on the Ukrainian side, and I understand why this is happening. We must not lose heart and panic. But, of course, everyone understands everything. Orc losses are high (more than 40,000 invaders have already fallen on our land). At the same time, I understand that our losses are also significant and painful.
Іноді складається враження, що ситуація в країні налагоджується. Я розумію, що широкому загалу не повдомляють про втрати з української сторони, і розумію, чому так відбувається. Ми не маємо занепадати духом та панікувати. Але, звісно, всі все розуміють. Втрати орків великі (вже більше 40000 окупантів полягли на нашій землі). При цьому я розумію, що наші втрати теж істотні та болючі.
We should not forget about it, in order to remember what price we're paying for this war. To understand that this is a serious, big war, even if it did not touch someone personally (although there are hardly such people who are in such a vacuum). The news, however, is often good. For example, I was happy to learn from Zelenskyi's interview for The Wall Street Journal that the daily losses of the Ukrainian army have decreased (30 killed and 250 wounded, which is about 5 times less than before).
Ми на маємо про це забувати, аби пам'ятати, якою ціною нам дається ця війна. Аби розуміти, що це серйозна, велика війна, навіть якщо вона не торкнулася когось особисто (хоча навряд чи є такі люди, які настільки знаходяться в вакуумі). Новини, тим не менш, часто поступають хороші. Наприклад, я була щаслива дізнатися з інтерв'ю Зеленського для The Wall Street Journal, що щоденні втрати української армії скоротилися (30 вбитими та 250 пораненими, що десь в 5 разів менше, ніж раніше).

The reason for this is the supply of Western weapons that work effectively at the front. We are starting to receive German Gepards, and Germany has also agreed to sell us 100 self-propelled howitzers. Many countries are collecting charity funds to buy Bayraktars for Ukraine, and Slovakia will give us its fighter aircrafts. Not to mention the help of the US in the acquisition of heavy weapons, which has significantly changed the situation on the battlefield in our favor during the last few weeks.
Причина цього - постачання західного озброєння, яке ефективно працює на фронті. Ми починаємо отримувати німецьки Гепарди, а ще Німеччина погодилася продати нам 100 самохідних гаубиць. Багато країн збирають благодійні кошти нам на Байрактари, а Словакія передасть нам свої винищувачі. Не кажучи про допомогу США у вигляді важкого озброєння, яке суттєво змінило ситуацію на полі бою на нашу користь протягом останніх декількох тижнів.
This morning, Ukrainians woke up waiting for a photos of the Antonivskyi bridge, which has already become a meme. For those who are not aware of the situation: this is a bridge in the Kherson region (in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine), which the russian occupiers used to support their occupation troops in Kherson. Now the bridge is unfit for vehicles and machinery, and all thanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and heavy high-precision weapons from partners. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated and cleared the villages of Andriivka and Lozove, also in the Kherson region. We are waiting for good news from this region in the near future. Kherson is Ukraine!
Сьогодні вранці українці прокинулися в очікуванні фото Антонівського моста, який вже встиг стати мемом. Для тих, хто не в курсі: це міст в Херсонській області (на тимчасово окупованій території України), який російські окупанти використовували для забезпечення своїх окупаційних військ в Херсоні. Тепер мост непридатний для пересування транспортом, і все завдяки ЗСУ та важкому високоточному озброєнню від партнерів. Крім того, ЗСУ звільнили та зачистили села Андріївка і Лозове, що також на Херсонщині. Чекаємо на хороші новини з цього регіону у найближчому майбутньому. Херсон - це Україна!
