Сталось щастя! Нарешті, змогла потрапити на виступ одного із улюблених гуртів та ще й встигла зайняти місце прямо перед сценою. З п'ятниці по неділю в Одесі відбувався тату фестиваль, де можна було набити на своєму тілі будь який малюнок вибравши майстра, котрий сподобався найбільше.

Happiness has happened! Finally, she was able to get to the performance of one of her favorite bands and even managed to take a seat right in front of the stage. From Friday to Sunday, a tattoo festival took place in Odessa, where you could fill any image on your body by choosing the master you liked the most.

Але! Крім сеансів тату можна було ще послухати виступи гуртів, діджеїв та окремих виконавців. З усього списку оголошених музикантів найближчим був гурт Motanka, тому (о, спрйлер), йшли ми виключно на них.

But! In addition to tattoo sessions, you could also listen to performances by bands, DJs, and individual artists. Of the entire list of announced musicians, the closest was the band Motanka, so, we went exclusively to them.

Хто такі Motanka? | Who is Motanka?

Motanka це етно-метал гурт створений у 2015 році в місті Луцьк. В ньому приймають участь чотири учасники:

Віктор (Верба) Жалнін — вокал, цимбали;
Анатолій Жалнін — гітара;
Сергій Ходорчук — бас-гітара;
Дмитро Дяченко — ударні.

Motanka is an ethnic-metal band formed in 2015 in Lutsk. It is attended by four participants:

Victor (Willow) Zhalnin - vocals, cymbals;

Anatoly Zhalnin - guitar;

Sergey Khodorchuk - bass guitar;

Dmytro Dyachenko - drums.

Гурт грає в жанрі містичний метал за участі українських етнічних інструментів — цимбалів та окарин. У своїх піснях вони поєднують народні мотиви, важку музику та сучасну електроніку, і таким чином переносячи слухачів у давні часи, коли давні слов'яни виконували магічні обряди, де людський дух зливався з духами природи.

The band plays in the genre of mystical metal with the participation of Ukrainian ethnic instruments - cymbals and ocarinas. In their songs, they combine folk motifs, heavy music, and modern electronics, thus transporting listeners to ancient times, when the ancient Slavs performed magical rites where the human spirit merged with the spirits of nature.

Давайте будемо чесними, я перерахую декілька фактів, а потім вияснимо чому ж я так сильно хотіла потрапити на їхніх виступ:

Ще до початку карантинних обмежень вони мали виступати в моєму рідному місті, але клятий ковід обламав мої плани;
Гурт відомий перемогою на W: O:A Metal Battle 2018 в рамках найбільшого фестивалю важкої музики в світі - Wacken Open Air;
Переможці the Best Ukrainian Metal Act 2019, номінанти YUNA 2020;
Вони у 2018 році підписали контракт із Napalm Records, котрі співпрацюють із величезною кількістю дуже відомих метал гуртів.

Let's be honest, I'll list a few facts, and then find out why I wanted so badly to get to their speech:

Even before the quarantine restrictions, they were supposed to perform in my hometown, but the cursed covid broke my plans;

The band is known for winning W: O: A Metal Battle 2018 as part of the largest heavy music festival in the world - Wacken Open Air;

Winners of the Best Ukrainian Metal Act 2019, nominees YUNA 2020;

In 2018, they signed a contract with Napalm Records, which collaborates with a huge number of very famous metal bands.

Цікавий факт, першими українцями в їхньому списку був гурт Jinjer (Донецьк), котрий в Україні сьогодні не зустрінеш, а квитки на концерти закордоном продаються із швидкістю світла. Тому просто потрібно було встигнути почути Motanka вживу перед собою.

Не скажу, що я фанат металу, але Motanka це просто бомбезний гурт. Ну от все, як я люблю - українське етно в поєднанні з чимось сучасним. Це просто ❤️

Interestingly, the first Ukrainians on their list were the band Jinjer (Donetsk), which you will not meet in Ukraine today, and tickets for concerts abroad are sold at the speed of light. So you just had to hear Motanka live in front of you.
I won't say I'm a fan of metal, but Motanka is just a bombastic band. Well, that's all I love - Ukrainian ethno in combination with something modern. It's just ❤️

Єдиний мінус виступу заключався в тому, що через досить погану погоду в день виступу організатори зсунули трішки программу і гурт вийшов пізніше. А так, як після 22 години шуміти не можна, то і кількість пісень була меншою. Наприклад, так і не прозвучала пісня "Верба", котра, взагалі, є візитівкою гурту, а в мене особисто завжди викликає сльози на очах. При цьому першочергово я і не розуміла всю історію цього треку.

The only downside of the performance was that due to the bad weather on the day of the performance, the organizers shifted the program a bit and the band came out later. And just as you can't make noise after 10 pm, the number of songs was smaller. For example, the song "Verba" never sounded, which, in general, is the business card of the band, and I personally always bring tears to my eyes. At the same time, first of all, I did not understand the whole history of this track.

І от нещодавно я все таки загуглила історію пісні і виявилось, що вона про Голодомор та репресії українців. Це пояснює, чому при прослуховуванні на душі мені дико боліло і завжди з'являлись сльози. Чисто підсвідомо. Але тема Голодомору варта окремої рубрики в акаунті. До речі, напишіть чи цікаво було б вам почитати про це звичайний текст, а не просто сухі факти, як це було в підручниках з історії.

And recently I still googled the history of the song and it turned out that it was about the Holodomor and the repression of Ukrainians. This explains why, when listening, my soul ached wildly and tears always appeared. Purely subconsciously. But the topic of the Holodomor is worth a separate section in the account. By the way, write whether it would be interesting for you to read a plain text about it, and not just dry facts, as was the case in history textbooks.
