Я дуже-дуже хотіла, щоб настав цей день. І щоб мама зустріла його з нами. Адже 30 жовтня їй виповнилося 90 років.
I really, really wanted this day to come. And for mom to meet him with us. After all, she turned 90 on October 30.
Напередодні приїхав брат, якого мама вже не бачила декілька місяців. Війна не дає можливості частіше подорожувати. І небезпечно, та й не по кишені багатьом стали далекі поїздки. Звісно, син не міг не приїхати на мамин ювілей, і це прекрасно. Не хотілося нам в такий день залишатися самотніми.
The day before, my brother arrived, whom my mother had not seen for several months. The war does not give the opportunity to travel more often. Long trips have become both dangerous and unaffordable for many. Of course, the son couldn't help but come to his mother's anniversary, and that's great. We didn't want to be alone on such a day.
А вже сьогодні до нас приїхали ще одні дорогі гості. Мамин племінник із дружиною також захотіли від всієї великої чернігівської рідні привітати маму з поважним Днем народження. І знову її очі сяяли щастям, змішаним із здивуванням: вона не знала, що у нас буде так багато гостей. Ще й тортик святковий привезли. І квіти, мамині улюблені хризантеми.
And already today, another dear guests came to us. My mother's nephew and his wife also wanted to wish my mother a happy birthday from all the big Chernihiv relatives. And again her eyes shone with happiness, mixed with surprise: she did not know that we would have so many guests. They also brought a festive cake. And flowers, my mother's favorite chrysanthemums.
Душевні розмови та спогади. І найбільше - розповідей про те, як хто пережив окупацію та перші місяці війни з росією. Важко було всім... І кожен з нас вірить у нашу перемогу. Інакше і бути не може: український народ незламний.
Домовилися зустрітися наступного року, в цей же день, на мамин 91 рік. Під мирним небом. І ще за ширшим столом, за яким будуть ще більше дорогих людей. З Днем народження, мамо!
Heartfelt conversations and memories. And most of all - stories about how someone survived the occupation and the first months of the war with Russia. It was difficult for everyone... And each of us believes in our victory. It cannot be otherwise: the Ukrainian people are indomitable.
We agreed to meet next year, on the same day, on my mother's 91st birthday. Under a peaceful sky. And at a wider table, at which there will be even more dear people. Happy birthday, mom!
