En medio de un mar de posibilidades. Ese fue la frase de un gran amigo que conversaba conmigo sobre los niños de su comunidad. Me dejó sorprendida el comentario de la organización de un grupo de padres quienes se han dado a la tarea de tener a los niños en diversas disciplinas deportivas.
La filosofía es no cultivar el tema de la ambición económica, ni forzar a los niños y niñas para competir de manera mal sana, al contrario, se trata de cultivar el término competencia como un logro personal, ¿por qué? Porque los padres sin pensarlo caen el craso error de alimentar la idea de que cada niño o niña "llegará a ser un profesional del deporte de alto rendimientoben cualquier disciplina.
In the midst of a sea of possibilities. That was the phrase of a great friend who was talking to me about the children in his community. I was surprised by the comment about the organization of a group of parents who have taken on the task of having the children participate in various sports disciplines.
The philosophy is not to cultivate the theme of economic ambition, nor to force the children to compete in an unhealthy way, on the contrary, it is about cultivating the term competition as a personal achievement, why? Because parents unwittingly fall into the crass mistake of feeding the idea that every boy or girl "will become a high performance sports professional in any discipline.
En esa idea imperativa de cada papá y mamá causan malestares a los hijos, los hostigan, los maltratan, los obligan, hasta llegar a frustarlos. ¿Es este el deber ser? Tampoco lo creo.
Entre padres y representantes, proseguía contando mi amigo, de acuerdo a sus habilidades y destrezas en el área deportiva, crean espacios para atender a sus hijos. Me parece una excelente iniciativa y un modelo a seguir por otras conunidades.
In this imperative idea of every father and mother causing discomfort to their children, harassing them, mistreating them, forcing them, to the point of frustrating them. Is this the way it should be? I don't think so either.
My friend went on to say that parents and representatives, according to their skills and abilities in the sports area, create spaces to take care of their children. I think this is an excellent initiative and a model for other communities to follow.
Dedican horas a las prácticas y los motivan con estrategias de juegos y crecimiento personal. Otro punto interesante en todo el asunto es lo siguiente, los. niños y niñas no practican una sola disciplina (a menos que lo decida) sino dos o tres. Con esta estrategia se busca integralidad para observar y valorar hacia dónde se inclinan las verdaderas competencias del los pequeños deportistas.
Al decir verdad, desde mi experiencia como madre y abuela de deportistas aficionados a quienes mi familia y yo hemos acompañado desde sus inicios, nunca he visto ninguna academia o escuela de deporte se propone algo como esto, una academia multidisciplinar. Quizá esté equivocada y sí la haya más yo no la conozco o, ¿por qué no?, quizá está implícito dentro de mis conocimientos.
They dedicate hours to practices and motivate them with strategies for games and personal growth. Another interesting point in the whole matter is the following: children do not practice only one discipline (unless they decide to) but two or three. With this strategy we look for integrality to observe and evaluate where the real competences of the little athletes are leaning towards.
To tell the truth, from my experience as a mother and grandmother of amateur athletes whom my family and I have accompanied since their beginnings, I have never seen any academy or sports school propose something like this, a multidisciplinary academy. Maybe I am wrong and there is one, but I don't know it, or why not, maybe it is implicit in my knowledge.
En casa, actualmente tenemos a Valeri preparándose en la disciplina de basquet, Matihas en el béisbol y de vez en cuando se une al básquet porque sigue mostrando interés. La preparación física de mis nietos también le brindarán oportunidades. Estoy de acuerdo con las palabras de mi amigo, la verdadera intención es encaminarlos en el mundo que les brinde bienestar.
No es sano adelantarles el futuro haciéndoles creer que serán grandes estrellas del deporte, el camino aún es largo, no andamos anunciando fatalidades pero, tampoco tenemos futuros asegurados, cualquier cosa puede pasar. Por esta razón en la familia solemos decir que apoyaremos a nuestros muchachos para forjar valores y disciplinas que les ayuden a ser hombres y mujeres de bien. Ese es el verdadero sentir familiar.
At home, we currently have Valeri training in basketball, Matihas in baseball and from time to time he joins basketball because he continues to show interest. It is not healthy to anticipate their future by making them believe that they will be great sports stars, the road is still long, we do not go around announcing fatalities, but we do not have assured futures either, anything can happen. For this reason in the family we usually say that we will support our children to forge values and disciplines that will help them to be good men and women. That is the true family feeling.
La semana pasada en la comunidad de #motherhood la tertulia giró en función de la importancia de atender el proceso de adaptación de los muchachos en las escuelas después de la pandemia. Estamos en un nivel de atraso escolar quizá nunca antes visto en Venezuela.
Por este motivo, en mi intervención sugerí a lo padres y madres presentes en la actividad sobre la importancia de atender a los hijos desde casa e involucrarlos en otras actividades donde desarrollen competencias porque no solo se trata de un atraso por el tema pandemia sino también la falta de atención al tema educativo y la dignificación docente.
Last week in the #motherhood community the discussion revolved around the importance of addressing the process of adaptation of children in schools after the pandemic. We are at a level of school backwardness perhaps never before seen in Venezuela.
For this reason, in my intervention I suggested to the parents present at the activity the importance of taking care of their children at home and involving them in other activities where they can develop competencies, because it is not only a backwardness due to the pandemic but also the lack of attention to the educational issue and the dignity of teachers.
La educación parece ir rumbo a la privatización forzada. En este sentido, no todos nuestros niños tendrán acceso a los estudios y si lo tienen, no será una educación de calidad. Lamentablemente hemos caído en el peor de los descuidos y quién sabe cuando se recuperará este desastre.
Education seems to be heading towards forced privatization. In this sense, not all our children will have access to education and if they do, it will not be a quality education. Unfortunately, we have fallen into the worst neglect and who knows when this disaster will be recovered.

Es bueno incluir en nuestra enseñanza como padres incentivar a los hijos a qué desarrollen habilidades y más aún si en deporte se trata. Pero porque lo deseen no impuesto pues ellos a futuro igual lograrán identificarse con alguna actividad. Cierto estuve en el programa y pude escuchar tu interesante opinión. Cierto pero como dices una actividad no impuesta sino que ellos puedan disfrutar al máximo.

Excelente post amiga @belkisa758 y que maravilloso es poder ofrecerle a los hijos y nietos ese "mar de oportunidades", me parece que una comunidad que es capaz de organizarse para ello es loable por todas las implicaciones que ello conlleva desde el punto individual del niño, adolescente para conocer sus fortalezas y desarrollarlas hasta el aspecto social de "no crear oportunidades para los malos pasos".
