Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) are considered a group of conditions that are characterized by alterations in social behavior, communication and language is affected, in people with ASD are observed some stereotypic behaviors, are repetitive movements, postures or voices without a particular purpose. The ASD usually appear in childhood, in most of the things is evident in the first 5 years of life.

As always my call is to empathy, to not judge, to offer support to both the person living with this condition, and the family, this support should not be abrupt, ask how you can help, if they need help they will let you know. With this I have a great anecdote, in an opportunity the son of a co-worker is birthday, I was very excited to hug the child and without a word he hit me, then I explained that he did not like physical contact, less if they come from strangers. A very normal behavior in people living with ASD.

After that incident I documented myself, I began to investigate and inquire about ASD and little by little I gained the confidence of the little one, he still does not let me hug him, but when he sees me he gets very excited, although it is difficult for him to express it verbally, you can see the joy when he looks at me.

To all those mothers come a big hug for the great work they do to help their children, I know that with patience and faith they can achieve that they have a really full life.
