Welcome to my blog dear Hive community, it is for me to be able to share with you once again this challenge of motherhood because it is important to see different stories from other mothers, now also with the incorporation of fathers, this is a space that has become a diary for all of us. As every week always come different topics, that's why every day is interesting, this time I will talk about how I weaned my son, a very complicated case but not as bad as many think.

When it comes to food, my son was not so good, I think this part is one of the things that has taken me a lot of work. Food is as important for the body as water because it is what keeps us in balance, good life and a healthy body, especially when we have a diet with food necessary for our body.

Since my son started feeding when he was 6 months old he had a good appetite, his pediatrician made a selection of foods to feed him, so it was a very slow process since we wanted to rule out any food allergy, that's how we incorporated foods and he responded quite well. After a while we started to add soups, meat and chicken and other foods until my son was eating everything and started to take more in his body since he was quite thin.

When my son turned two years old he began to lose weight and his appetite, so we started a new food selection and to perform several tests, that is why it was determined that he was discarding his calcium in the urine which made him lose the rhythm of eating and decrease his weight. The food began to take distance and he began to select his own food, at that moment was when Gael said he didn't like this and that.

Currently it is a little tedious to feed Gael because he likes almost nothing but little by little we are introducing foods, what he does not like is carrots but otherwise he loves them, my son has gained more weight and today he is better in food. My son eats a lot and he is starting to like other things, I consider that every day he is making an effort to be bigger with food, since he lost his calcium he has been taking vitamins to gain weight, until today.

The tips I could give is to let them explore the flavors and let them put it in their mouths by themselves, when they don't like something, try to change the flavor and texture so they can eat with better effort, another thing that got me out of trouble is to make a shape with the food so he would get excited and eat and finally tell him that I was going to beat him since my son doesn't like to lose so I took that as an excuse for him to do it, and today he does things better.
