Hoy quiero hablarles un poco sobre un tema que tal vez no todos vivan con sus hijos, como lo es insistir a que hagan alguna actividad que no quieren. Como bien deben saber todos los miembros de esta comunidad los niños tienen mucha energía y veces se nos acaban las ideas para entretenerlos y eso lleva a que se pongan muy traviesos durante el día.
Ese es el caso de mi hijo, tiene mucha energía y se aburre muy fácilmente y personalmente no me gusta verlo todo el día con un teléfono.

That is the case with my son, he has a lot of energy and gets bored very easily and personally I don't like to see him with a phone all day long.
Al terminar el colegio queda un vacío en la rutina de los niños que ellos no saben muy bien como manejar, entonces al acercarse las vacaciones ya yo estaba muy preocupada por lo que haríamos durante todo ese tiempo. Mi hijo no tiene muchos niños cerca con quiénes jugar ya que es hijo único y aparte de eso no tiene primos que sean muy cercanos en edad y por esto el es un poco tímido y le cuesta relacionarse con otros niños, entonces papá y yo siempre somos los que jugamos con él a correr afuera.
Cerca de nuestra casa queda un sitio donde hay diferentes áreas deportivas y recreativas, hay un parque, hay mesas de ping pong, también gimnasio y diferentes espacios para dictar clases y entre esas clases también se enseña basket a niños y adolescentes. Al saber que tenía esa opción muy cerca, no lo pensé mucho y lo inscribí en los entrenamientos de basket para que liberara energía y además compartiera con otros niños y aprenda a incluirse en los juegos.
When school ends there is a void in the children's routine that they don't know very well how to handle, so as the vacations approached I was very worried about what we would do during all that time. My son does not have many children around to play with since he is an only child and besides that he does not have cousins that are very close in age and because of this he is a little shy and has a hard time interacting with other children, so dad and I are always the ones who play with him to run outside.
Near our house there is a place where there are different sports and recreational areas, there is a park, there are ping pong tables, there is also a gym and different spaces for classes and among those classes we also teach basketball to children and teenagers. Knowing that I had this option very close, I didn't think much about it and I enrolled him in the basketball training so that he could release energy and also share with other children and learn to include himself in the games.
Mi hijo no estaba nada contento con la idea, no quería ir diciendo que no le gustaba ese deporte (incluso lloró un poco) pero igual insistí en llevarlo porque se que es su timidez la que habla por el, le dije que solo iríamos una vez y si no le gustaba no lo llevaría más.

Práctico rebotar la pelota correctamente, a caminar y correr rebotando y a encestar desde diferentes posiciones, para su sorpresa y también la mía claro, descubrió que podía encestar fácilmente, él nunca había jugado al basket, pensaba que por ser pequeño no llegaría la pelota a la cesta, así que estaba muy contento de descubrir que tenía la fuerza en los brazos para hacerlo.

Me alegro mucho saber que tome la mejor decisión de haber insistido, para mi es muy importante siempre ayudarlo a relacionarse con otros niños tanto como sea posible. Al final de todo, el entrenamiento no lo canso para nada y al llegar a casa quería salir de nuevo a correr afuera pero al menos estaba muy entusiasmado y yo muy feliz por él.
When we were walking back home he said to me: "Mommy, I'm sorry for telling you that I didn't want to come, I liked it. I am very happy to know that I made the best decision to have insisted, for me it is very important to always help him to interact with other children as much as possible. At the end of the day, the training didn't tire him at all and when he got home he wanted to go outside again but at least he was very enthusiastic and I was very happy for him.
