Este es un cuento que les tenía pendiente, y entre una cosa y otra había olvidado pasar a contarles sobre la participación de Matías en su último torneo.
Sí, sí, ese que duró tres días y en el que fue toda una odisea participar ya que nos tocó usar el transporte público al que ni el ni yo estamos acostumbrados, pero hoy no les vengo a contar mis aventuras y desventuras de esos días, sino del rendimiento de Matías, pero hablemos un poco del torneo en sí.

Se trataba del Campeonato Estadal "Amateur", organizado por ASOAJEDRENE, la Asociacion de ajedrez del estado Nueva Esparta, y tuvo como sede el C.C. Ecocenter, se jugarían 7 rondas con un ritmo de 60 minutos por 30 segundos de incremento por jugada, así que fueron rondas bastante largas. En el caso de Matías algunas estuvieron muy cerca de llegar a las dos horas, cosa que fue bastante agotadora.
Como les comenté, el evento tuvo una duración de tres días. Se jugaron tres rondas en primer día, dos el segundo y dos el tercer día. El primer día ganó la dos primeras rondas e hizo tablas (empate) en la tercera, para el segundo día, perdió uno y tablas en el otro y para el último día, tablas en los dos que jugó.
It was the State Championship "Amateur ", organized by ASOAJEDRENE, the Chess Association of the state of Nueva Esparta, and was held at the Ecocenter Shopping Center, 7 rounds were played with a rhythm of 60 minutes by 30 seconds of increment per move, so they were quite long rounds. In the case of Matias some of them were very close to reach two hours, which was quite exhausting.
As I mentioned, the event lasted three days. Three rounds were played on the first day, two on the second and two on the third day. On the first day he won the first two rounds and drew the third, on the second day he lost one and drew the other, and on the last day he drew the two he played.
Debo confesar que al finalizar el tercer día no sentí que Matías hubiese mejorado mucho desde que inició sus clases en la academia, pero luego en casa, después de olvidarme del estrés, el solazo y el terrible calor mientras esperaba carrito para regresarnos a casa, la verdad es que si comparo su desempeño con los torneos anteriores, hubo un avance enorme porque los partidos perdidos eran muchos.
En este torneo logró ganar dos rondas, una de ellas al niño que quedó campeón en su categoría, hizo 4 tablas y solo perdió una ronda, lo que en definitiva fue un gran avance, sobre todo porque apenas tiene dos meses entrenando formalmente, y tomando en cuenta que los demás chicos tienen años en la academia con prácticas casi que diarias, creo que va por buen camino, y lo mejor de todo es que está contento y disfrutando la experiencia. Y por supuesto, yo siempre ahí acompañándolo.
I must confess that at the end of the third day I did not feel that Matias had improved much since he started his classes at the academy, but then at home, after forgetting the stress, the sun and the terrible heat while waiting for the cart to take us back home, the truth is that if I compare his performance with previous tournaments, there was a huge progress because the lost games were many.
In this tournament he managed to win two rounds, one of them to the boy who was champion in his category, he made 4 draws and only lost one round, which was definitely a great advance, especially because he has only two months training formally, and taking into account that the other boys have years in the academy with almost daily practices, I think he is on the right track, and best of all is that he is happy and enjoying the experience. And of course, I am always there with him.

Bravo Matías que bueno que has mejorado, te gusta y lo disfrutas, el ajedrez es buenísimo y si no te genera estrés estar ahi sentado 2 horas, planificando las jugadas y por el contrario ganas, vas por buen camino, sobretodo pones muy bien en práctica la paciencia. Te felicito Mati y sigue así, cada sacrificio tiene sus recompensas, pronto te veré viajando a otros Estados a representar a Nueva Esparta. Poco a poco, el ajedrez no es fácil, yo practique un tiempo y no tuve suerte en los campeonatos. Felicidades por esas rondas que gano, eso demuestra que todo el esfuerzo ya esta dando frutos. Felicidades por elegir ese deporte, es muy bueno para su desarrollo.
Asi es amiga, y la verdad es que se ve el avance. En la practica del viernes el profesor salió contento a hablar conmigo porque le logró ganar a su compañero de practica y esa era una meta que le tenía el profesor y también que le pudiera ganar a César el niño de mi amiga Claudimar que ya lo hizo. Así que va avanzando
