Mushrooms Found In South East Nigeria: Week 11 | 🌲Merry Christmas 🌲

in Fungi Lovers3 years ago

Hello fungi lovers on hive!
Complements of the season!
How are you doing?
Some weeks ago, I posted this mushroom photo.
During the time that I posted it, I never knew that it could be useful aside from being used as poison.
I discovered its new use when I asked a friend of mine about the mushroom. She told me that the mushroom has helped her so much.
I got surprised and asked her to explain.
At first, she laughed and told me about the toxicity which I know.
The second one shocked me as she brought out her orange coloured Barret.
I looked at it, wondering what happened it.
She said "I used this mushroom's orange colour extract to dye it".
At that point, I nodded my head as many times as possible.
What a good discovery.
For me, the mushroom was just on the bush but for her, it was a dye producing machine.
Below are few images of the mushroom.
