Parasite fungus. It causes a strong white rot of wood, large, perennial, arboreal, adhered to the side of the tree and the ground. Semicircular shape. It can grow up to 50 cm in width, and can be up to 7 cm thick. The edge is often with a characteristic white trim, quite sharp. The surface of the fungus is matte, porous, slightly wavy. It shows a spherical growth of the fungus in the form of semi-circles with a lighter brown color. The top of the mushroom is brown, rusty, red-brown, gray-brown in color. It has a rind that is quite delicate and may be about 1 mm thick. During sporulation, the top of the fungus is covered with spores that resemble cocoa powder, cinnamon. The bottom of the fungus is made of small pores, white in young fruiting bodies, turning brown when pressed, turning yellow in older ones.

Grzyb pasożyt. Wywołuje silną białą zgniliznę drewna, duży, wieloletni, nadrzewny, bokiem przyrośnięty do drzewa, podłoża. Kształt półkolisty. Może dorastać do 50 cm szerokości, grubość może mieć do 7 cm. Brzeg często z charakterystyczną biała lamówką, dość ostry. Powierzchnia grzyba jest matowa, porowata, lekko pofałdowana. Widać na niej sferyczny przyrost grzyba w postaci półokręgów o jaśniejszej brązowe barwie. Wierzch grzyba ma kolor brązowy, rdzawy, czerwonobrązowy, szarobrązowy. Posiada skórkę, która jest dość delikatna i może mieć około 1 mm grubości. Podczas zarodnikowania wierzchnia część grzyba jest pokryta zarodnikami, które przypominają sproszkowane kakao, cynamon. Spód grzyba stanowią drobne pory, u młodych owocników białe, które po uciśnięciu, brązowieją, u starszych wpadające w kolor żółty.

With age, the flesh becomes brown, dark brown. Very mushroom aroma, bitter taste.	Miąższ jest giętki, jednorodny, przypominający cechami fizycznymi korek. Grubość do 6 cm u dojrzałych okazów. U młodych owocników jest biały i tak jak w przypadku porów, po uciśnięciu zmienia kolor na brązowy. Z wiekiem miąższ staje się brązowy, ciemnobrązowy. Zapach bardzo grzybowy, w smaku goryczkowaty.
