Mushroom Monday - Chicken Brain

in Fungi Loverslast year

A couple of weeks ago, my parents and I walked in the park in the evening, and under one of the poplars (by the way, whitewashed), we saw such a beautiful picture!

Laetiporus Sulphureus considered to be forest chicken, and not only because of the color, but also the taste) Someone compares this taste directly with chicken meat, to other people, the taste is more like a boiled chicken egg. But I think it depends more on its age.

This specimen grew so fast that it flowed around the blades of grass, embracing them forever in its arms.
The brain seemed to breathe and live, and it seemed one could notice its rapid growth.

The cubs also made their way out of the tree trunk and ticked out in small balls)

But on a neighboring tree, an already aged and rather dry specimen flaunted.
So this fungus multiplies quite quickly, naturally under favorable conditions!

I hope you enjoyed my walk and the pictures of these amazing shapes! Follow my updates, because our autumn turned out to be very mushroomy, and hundreds of photos of various mushrooms have accumulated !!!

And now it's time for me to sleep, so I'm going to bed)

Sort:

Keep an eye on it to see if it turns shiny reddish brown. It might be a reishi instead of chicken of the woods.

No no, this is definitely a chicken, I watched it for a couple of weeks)

Oh, I am surprised! Maybe the brown one that has the same characteristics and shape as this one can also be eaten. Nice to know.
