Look at this strange turkeytail.

This was a tree that had turkeytail growing on it while it was still standing.

Then when it fell over the turkeytail needed a new platform to grow horizontally on.

Now they are producing leaves on top of the older leaves.

This creates an endless fractal effect where the same shape gets repeated at all different angles.

Turkeytail has many shapes and colors. These are one of the few fungi that last all year and keep growing slowly.

I managed to find the last batch of mycena for this year. Soon as winter hits all I'll have are polypores and turkeytails to show.

Super!
This is called: the obvious and the incredible! :-)

Just have to turn the log at a different angle to make it even more complex.

these autumn mushrooms are so beautiful and just amazing I love them a lot.

I forgot to mention that turkeytail are a good medicinal against cancer. I boil them in tea.

it's very good, and can be made into medicine naturally.

I didn't expect that ordinary mushrooms on trees can be so beautiful. I'm going to the woods tomorrow, too, and I'll take my camera with me. If I don't find normal mushrooms, I will shoot nature, it is also beautiful here

Keep an eye out for winter mushrooms aka velvet foots.
