Hola a todos el día de hoy vengo a hablarles de una serie que me tiene pegado a la pantalla se trata The Rookie, hace un tiempo había escrito que me gusta mucho lo que es el genero policiaco y los thriller criminales soy fan de series como Unidad de Victimas especiales, Los Soprano o mi favorita The Wire, pues The Rookie es del mismo genero que las anteriormente mencionadas.
Hello everyone, today I come to talk to you about a series that has me glued to the screen, it is The Rookie, some time ago I had written that I really like the police genre and criminal thrillers, I am a fan of series like Unidad from Special Victims, The Sopranos or my favorite The Wire, since The Rookie is of the same genre as the aforementioned ones.

La inicie a ver a principio de la semana pasada y cuando menos me di cuenta hoy ya es Lunes y estoy casi por terminar la segunda temporada y por lo regular me gusta compartir las cosas que creo que son buenas o que merecen ser vistas así que ya se la recomendé a todos mis amigos y familiares así que es hora compartirla con ustedes.

Argumento/Argument
Todo comienza con el protagonista principal John Nolan un hombre de cuarenta años recién divorciado guardando su sortija de compromiso en el banco local de su comunidad todo transcurría con normalidad hasta que un par de hombres armados entran y tratan de robar el banco Nolan distrae a uno de los ladrones para que este no se percate que la encargada del banco esta por accionar la alarma silenciosa el criminal amenaza con disparar si no se calla y Nolan pone su vida en riesgo al volver a distraerlo para evitar que se de cuenta de la llegada de la policía, esto facilita que sean detenidos y le da toda una nueva perspectiva de lo que quiere hacer ahora con su vida.
It all begins with the main character John Nolan, a recently divorced forty-year-old man, keeping his engagement ring in the local bank in his community, everything was going normally until a couple of armed men came in and tried to rob the bank. Nolan distracted one of the the thieves so that he does not realize that the bank manager is about to activate the silent alarm, the criminal threatens to shoot if he does not shut up and Nolan puts his life at risk by distracting him again to prevent him from noticing the arrival of the police, this makes it easier for them to get caught and gives him a whole new perspective on what he wants to do with his life now.

De esta manera se muda a Los Angeles para convertirse en el novato más viejo de la policía y de esta manera darle sentido a su vida, esta acompañado por otros dos novatos quienes son la oficial Lucy Chen una joven conflictuada con sus padres quien a decidido entrar al departamento de policía para hacerlos enojar pero encontrara que el ser oficial de policía es su verdadera pasión y Jackson West una joven promesa de la academia cuyo padre es comandante encargado de la división de asuntos internos y que tratara de cumplir las expectativas que el mismo se ha impuesto pero con el paso del tiempo se dará cuenta que no siempre se esta forzado en seguir el mismo camino que nuestros padres.

Opinión/Opinion
Para mi encontrar una buena serie policiaca siempre será bien recibida y The Rookie creo tiene todo lo necesario para ser considerada una buena serie de drama policiaco, la serie sabe llevar muy bien los momentos de tensión y adrenalina que se puede esperar de las persecuciones y los enfrentamientos con criminales, con el paso de los capítulos iremos conociendo a los personajes y en lo personal no pude evitar no encariñarme con algunos, creo que los mejores episodios fueron los últimos capítulos o por lo menos son los mas intensos a mi punto de vista.
For me, finding a good police series will always be well received and I think The Rookie has everything necessary to be considered a good police drama series, the series knows how to handle very well the moments of tension and adrenaline that can be expected from chases and confrontations with criminals, with the passing of the chapters we will get to know the characters and personally I could not help but not get attached to some, I think the best episodes were the last chapters or at least they are the most intense from my point of view.
No digo que The Rookie haga algo nuevo a lo que ya se ha visto en otras series simplemente creo que hacen las cosas de la mejor manera posible y que sabe explorar muy bien todos los recursos a su alcance, las actuaciones me parecen impecables hay personajes que en un principio me generaron desagrado pero como fue transcurriendo la historia vas entendiendo el porque de las cosas, y eso me gusto no todo en esta vida es blanco y negro y siento que es algo que tratan de reflejar muy bien dentro de esta serie.
I am not saying that The Rookie does something new to what has already been seen in other series, I simply think that they do things in the best possible way and that they know how to explore all the resources at their disposal very well, the performances seem impeccable to me, there are characters that At first they made me dislike but as the story unfolded you understand the reason for things, and I liked that, not everything in this life is black and white and I feel that it is something that they try to reflect very well within this series.

Tiene sus buenos momentos de comedia para bajar la tensión y eso se agradece que te den ese pequeño respiro para volverte a zambullir toda la acción y drama que te espera en cada episodio, hay ciertas relaciones que esperara que fructificaran pero parece ser que no será así hasta donde voy pero no creo que eso sea algo malo simplemente yo esperaba algo diferente por mis gustos pero creo que la historia y desarrollo están muy bien desarrollada y el hecho que te brinden tomas desde la perspectiva de la cámara de los oficiales te permite sentir esa inmersión dentro de los momentos de tensión.
It has its good moments of comedy to lower the tension and it is appreciated that they give you that little break to dive back into all the action and drama that awaits you in each episode, there are certain relationships that I expected to bear fruit but it seems that it will not be like that as far as I'm going but I don't think that's a bad thing I just expected something different for my tastes but I think the story and development are very well developed and the fact that they give you shots from the perspective of the officers' camera allows you to feel that immersion within moments of tension.

Para terminar puedo decir que igual el trabajo de efectos especiales y las música esta super bien lograda y tengo que recomendárselas totalmente creo que es algo que vale mucho la pena y que no se lo pueden perder, yo la encontré en el servicio de streaming en de Paramount, la serie cuenta con 4 temporadas hasta el momento y cada temporada parece ser de 20 capítulos así que si no tienen nada que ver o es del tipo de series que podrían disfrutar véanla se que no se arrepentirán.
To finish, I can say that the work of special effects and the music is also very well done and I have to totally recommend it to you, I think it is something that is very worthwhile and that you cannot miss it, I found it on the streaming service in Paramount, the series has 4 seasons so far and each season seems to be 20 episodes, so if they have nothing to do with it or it's the type of series that you could enjoy, watch it, I know you won't regret it.
