Hola amigos feliz noche a todos espero que se encuentren súper bien , es la primera vez que me ánimo a compartir algo en esta bonita comúnidad y la verdad no lo había hecho antes ya que no soy una experta en cine ni mucho menos , pero cuando vi esta película el día lunes dije es un rotundo SI que yo de mi punto de vista sobre esta película que a parte fue nominada a 3 categorías en los premios Oscar, por supuesto que tenía que compartirles como me pareció; si se las recomiendo , si dejó alguna huella en mí y muchas cosas más , les dejare mi perspectiva y como me sentí identificada con muchas cosas en esta película por supuesto dejando el aviso de #Alerta #de #spoilers ya que quiero hacer referencia a muchas partes de la misma y si aún no lan han visto siempre es importante dejar claro que vamos a recitar algunas escenas.
Hello friends, happy evening everyone, I hope you are feeling super well, it is the first time that I have dared to share something in this beautiful community and the truth is that I had not done it before since I am not an expert in cinema, far from it, but when I saw This film on Monday I said is a resounding YES that I give my point of view about this film that was also nominated for 3 categories at the Oscars, of course I had to share how I thought; If I recommend it to you, if it leaves a mark on me and many other things, I will leave you my perspective and how I felt identified with many things in this film, of course leaving the #Alert #of #spoilers notice since I want to refer to many parts of it and if you have not seen it yet, it is always important to make it clear that we are going to recite some scenes.
Desde que empieza la película puedes darte cuenta que va a retratar múltiples problemas que van más allá de lo que pensamos ya que al ver la portada de la película podemos llegar a pensar que se va a tratar de un hombre que lidia con problemas alimenticios, pero no, esto no es así , está película va mucho más allá retrata múltiples problemas que a la vez pueden llegar ser algo fuertes y no muchas personas pueden llegar a comprender, trata temas como la depresión y sus múltiples facetas, el abandono, la religión, las preferencias sexuales y son muchas cosas que procesar en esta película y que una te va impactando un poco más que la otra y que tal vez también te vas a sentir identificado con muchos de los sentimientos que llegan a transmitir los personajes, desde la ira , la compasión, la rabia , el resentimiento , el asco y también las ganas de continuar.
From the beginning of the film you can realize that it is going to portray multiple problems that go beyond what we think since when we see the cover of the film we can come to think that it is going to be about a man who deals with eating problems, but no, this is not so, this film goes much further, it portrays multiple problems that at the same time can be somewhat strong and not many people can understand, it deals with topics such as depression and its many facets, abandonment, religion, sexual preferences and there are many things to process in this film and that one impacts you a little more than the other and that perhaps you will also feel identified with many of the feelings that the characters convey, from anger, compassion, anger, resentment, disgust and also the desire to continue.
La primera escena te deja claro la preferencia sexual del actor principal ( Brendan Fraser) pues nos deja una escena bastante marcada donde se está masturbando con una película pornográfica de una pareja homosexual, lo que te deja bien claro desde el principio sus preferencias y más adelante sabrás lo importante de esta escena, empieza a tener una subida de presión arterial y casi por darle un ataque al corazón y en ese momento toca alguien a la puerta y el le pide que por favor le recite un resumen del libro " Moby Dick" el se calma con esto , a lo que luego se pregunta quién es esta persona que tocaba a su puerta y el chico responde que es Thomas un predicador de Dios y quiere llevar su palabra, el personaje de Thomas nos refleja en toda la película como el ser un fanático religioso no te convierte en buena persona pues el siempre sintió asco y repudio hacia Charlie no solo por su aspecto físico si no por su preferencia sexuales, Thomas nos muestra como el buscaba su propia redención y jamás quiso ayudar a nadie más que a él . Para mí la primera escena desde que empieza la película marca todo, lo que me encanto ya que te deja muy en claro muchas situaciones que pasaran más adelante.

You will know the importance of this scene, he begins to have a rise in blood pressure and almost to have a heart attack and at that moment someone knocks on the door and he asks him to please recite a summary of the book "Moby Dick" the he calms down with this, to which he then wonders who is this person who was knocking on his door and the boy replies that Thomas is a preacher of God and wants to keep his word, Thomas's character reflects us throughout the film as the being a religious fanatic does not make you a good person because he always felt disgust and rejection towards Charlie not only because of his physical appearance but also because of his sexual preferences, Thomas shows us how he sought his own redemption and never wanted to help anyone but him. For me, the first scene from the beginning of the film marks everything, which I loved since it makes many situations that will happen later very clear to you.
Uno de mis personajes favoritos fue "LIZ" que era su amiga y enfermera que se hacía cargo de él y su salud , se que para muchos este tal vez no es un personaje tan presente como lo es el del protagonista o el de su hija, pero para mí ella refleja como las personas que están en tu entorno pueden llegar afectarse tanto o más que la persona que está pasando por una enfermedad , ella deja muy en claro al reclamar el porqué le hace pasar nuevamente por eso , porque ella tiene que ver morir nuevamente a un ser amado , pues si , resulta que su hermano era la pareja del personaje principal Charlie ( Brendan Fraser) y que ella y su hermano eran hijos de los predicadores de la iglesia y claramente repudiaron a su hijo por sus preferencias sexuales, este aunque decidió dejarse llevar por su corazón y estar con la persona que ama no pudo soportar que sus padres no lo amarán y sentir que Dios lo había abandonado, he aquí donde vemos la otra cara de la depresión pues el dejó de comer de salir y de vivir y su hermana ( Liz) iba día tras día intentando que está situación cambiará pero no pudo , al final del día su hermano termino quitándose la vida , he aquí donde volvemos pues ella está lidiando nuevamente con esta situación al ver como Charlie hace lo mismo que su hermano pero en esta situación matándose con el exceso de comida , Una frase que me dejó marcada fue " Charlie nadie tiene el poder de salvarle la vida a otro yo lo intente por años con mi hermano" haciendo referencia de que no importa que tanto hagamos por otro si este no quiere ayudarse nada cambiará .
One of my favorite characters was "LIZ" who was his friend and nurse who took care of him and his health, I know that for many this may not be as present a character as the protagonist or his daughter, but for me she reflects how the people who are around you can be affected as much or more than the person who is going through a disease, she makes it very clear when she claims why she makes him go through that again, because she has to see die again to a loved one, well yes, it turns out that her brother was the partner of the main character Charlie (Brendan Fraser) and that she and her brother were children of church preachers and clearly disowned their son for his sexual preferences, Even though he decided to let himself be carried away by his heart and be with the person he loves, he could not bear that his parents did not love him and feel that God had abandoned him, here we see the other side of depression because he stopped eating, going out and of live and his sister (Liz) went day after day trying to change this situation but could not, at the end of the day his brother ended up taking his own life, here we go back because she is dealing with this situation again when seeing how Charlie does the same than his brother but in this situation killing himself with excess food, a phrase that left an impression on me was "Charlie, no one has the power to save the life of another, I tried it for years with my brother" referring to the fact that no matter how much let's do it for another if he doesn't want to help himself nothing will change.
Hice énfasis en la relación de Charlie y Liz pues fue la que más me sentí identificada, pero también tenemos la relación de Charlie y su hija y como ella lo odia ya que el decidió abandonarla porque estaba enamorado, el tenía un fondo de dinero el cual destino a su hija quería sentir que al menos había hecho una cosa buena en su vida el se negaba a recibir tratamiento médico pues no quería gastar el dinero que quería que fuera exclusivamente para ella .
I emphasized the relationship between Charlie and Liz because it was the one that I felt most identified with, but we also have the relationship between Charlie and his daughter and since she hates him since he decided to leave her because he was in love, he had a fund of money which Destiny wanted his daughter to feel that she had done at least one good thing in her life. He refused to receive medical treatment because he did not want to spend the money that he wanted to be exclusively for her.
Esta película tiene mucha tela más por cortar y podría hacer unos 4 post hablando solo de ella pero quise hacer énfasis en las partes que más me marcaron, quiero terminar diciendo que el resumen que siempre leía para calmarse era uno que hizo su hija cuando tenía 12 años para el su hija era lo único bueno que había hecho en la vida y solo quería sentir que ella era una buena persona y que sería grandiosa y tendría una vida hermosa , más o menos lo que decía el resumen era " pude ver como el autor de Moby Dick pasa mucho tiempo hablando de las aburridas ballenas, lo que no sabía era que el autor trataba de esconder su propia tristeza , también me sentí triste por el ya que el pensaba que al matar a una ballena su vida sería mejor , al final del día me sentí identificada el personaje y con mi propia vida "
This movie has a lot more fabric to cut and I could do about 4 posts just talking about it but I wanted to emphasize the parts that marked me the most, I want to end by saying that the summary that I always read to calm down was one that his daughter did when she was 12 For him, his daughter was the only good thing he had done in life and he just wanted to feel that she was a good person and that she would be great and have a beautiful life, more or less what the summary said was "I could see how the author from Moby Dick he spends a lot of time talking about boring whales, what I didn't know was that the author was trying to hide his own sadness, I also felt sad for him because he thought that by killing a whale his life would be better, in the end of the day I felt identified with the character and with my own life "
No me queda más que decir que esta película fue grandiosa desde todos los aspectos y que podemos a llegar a comprender tantas cosas por las que otros están pasando y nadie sabe , es importante siempre el respeto y la tolerancia pues no sabemos la situaciónes de la vida que hacen que una persona lo lleve a un estado mental crítico , siempre he dicho que cada uno tiene su infierno personal y está película así lo refleja pues deja bien en claro que cada uno está lidiando con muchas cosas y hacemos lo mejor posible, THE WHALE se lleva totalmente mi sello de recomendación y por supuesto que también se llevó algunas de mis lágrimas , Brendan Fraser se llevó un merecido Oscar con esta grandiosa película pues sentí cada una de sus emociones, no solo de el si no de todos los personajes, sin duda se llevan un aplauso de pie .
I only have to say that this film was great from all aspects and that we can come to understand so many things that others are going through and nobody knows, respect and tolerance is always important because we do not know the situations of life that make a person take him to a critical state of mind, I have always said that everyone has their own personal hell and this film reflects it as it makes it clear that everyone is dealing with many things and we do our best, ** THE WHALE** totally takes my seal of recommendation and of course it also took some of my tears away, Brendan Fraser won a well-deserved Oscar with this great film because I felt each one of his emotions, not only from him but from everyone the characters certainly get a standing ovation.

A very moving film. The filmmaker knows how to tell the story so that we empathize with the main character, his pain, his loss, his redemption. Fraser was very good in his acting, makeup, etc, very good movie. I had high expectations, I didn't think it was the wonder it was made out to be, but it is a good movie.
Para mi fue una película con una linda moraleja, aunque no todos actualmente piensan igual, creo que tal vez algunas personas puedan inspirarse y arrepentirse de los errores que hayan hecho a lo largo de su vida, y por supuesto que ese que se mereció ese premio! jajaja saludos
Así es amigo por eso hice referencia que la película tiene algunas partes que no todas las personas van a pensar igual ni van a tener los mismos sentimientos pero para mí estuvo increíble, gracias por dejar tu comentario 🤗
