Loco por ella, una comedia romántica española que bordea el drama y —cómo no hacerlo si su trama se desarrolla en un centro psiquiátrico— paralelo a las escenas divertidas y alocadas transita otra historia con realidades que conmueven haciendo una mezcla que no pierde su esencia, el amor, y sus distintas maneras de manifestarse. La película está protagonizada por una pareja que de entrada y tienen un feeling que transmiten un entusiasmo contagioso, Álvaro Cervantes en el papel Adri, periodista y, Susana Abaitua como Carla. Los acompañan entre otros: Luis Zahera como Saúl, en un papel cuya interpretación considero magistral y clara Segura como directora del psiquiátrico. El director es el barcelonés Dani de la Orden.
La trama
Adri y Carla se conocen en un local nocturno, él compartiendo con unos amigos y haciendo una apuesta en la que asegura que con unos toque técnicos fácilmente “liga” con una muchacha que se encuentra en el local. Carla, que entra en ese momento al sitio buscando a un hombre que quiera unirse a ella en una noche de alegría, fiesta, copas y sexo, sin compromisos, se tropieza con Adri, le parece que es el indicado, le hace la propuesta de una noche loca y el encantado acepta.
En medio de la madrugada Carla despierta con gran azoramiento, se le ha hecho tarde, tiene que llegar a su sitio antes de que amanezca, se despide de Adri y en medio de su alocada carrera, cual cenicienta, se le cae la chaqueta, y es lo único que le queda a él para seguirle la pista. A partir de allí, Adri, que quedó impresionado y entusiasmado con Carla se propone buscarla, una amiga encuentra en la chaqueta el nombre y una dirección, es la dirección de un psiquiátrico.
Adri va hasta el sitio, pregunta por Carla y se da cuenta que es paciente del psiquiátrico, que vive allí y que no la puede ver porque él no está en la lista de visitantes, la manera que encuentra para acercarse a ella es buscando un doctor que le dé un informe médico para recluirse en la clínica psiquiátrica. Finalmente logra ingresar pero las cosas con Carla no salieron como él esperaba, quiere irse del lugar pero, al ser considerado paciente, requiere de una evaluación médica para autorizar la salida, por lo que tiene que pasar un mes en el sanatorio.
A lo largo de ese mes, Adri se va involucrando con los problemas mentales que aquejan a sus nuevos amigos, por ejemplo, el caso de Saúl, su compañero de habitación, un hombre con una manía o delirio persecutorio que lo aleja de su pequeña hija, por lo cual sufre mucho o una pareja de internos que sienten mutua atracción pero no se atreven a avanzar en una relación, y por supuesto, Carla a medida que va viendo el comportamiento de Adri se va abriendo a él y a una relación.

Estemos claro, “Loco por ella”, es una comedia romántica por lo que es relajada, ocurrente, presenta las situaciones de una manera muy “light”, tiene un final feliz y coquetea con algunas conocidas tramas, sin embargo, tiene algo especial y distintivo: le echa una mirada aleccionadora a ese mundo que hemos ido creando de que todos podemos ser felices, solo es cuestión de proponérnoslo. Considero que es una afirmación válida para un gran universo de personas pero que para otras no es una cuestión de elección porque viven y sienten situaciones que solas no lo pueden afrontar y requieren de la ayuda y el apoyo de profesionales de la salud.
Adri logra comprenderlo y en su monologo dice:
Una frase elocuente porque a veces creemos que el otro lo que necesita es amor y comprensión para cambiar y ser feliz, sentimientos que aunque son valederos no son suficientes si, realmente, deseamos ayudar a una persona.
Otro tema interesante que toca la película es una crítica hacia ese criterio que se ha generalizado de que las personas no leen, que por la premura de la vida actual necesitamos textos cortos, concretos que aborden temas pocos profundos y que no “molesten a nadie”.
Adri hace un reportaje de su vivencia en el psiquiátrico, el cual es un éxito, lo que hace que el editor cambie la política de publicaciones hacia temas de mayor interés, de contenido social y que las personas se vean reflejadas en ellos. Aunque es una escena cómica y hasta burlesca, esta dicho: hay un enorme público, allá fuera, interesado en leer historias con contenido, que le dejen espacios para la reflexión y el conocimiento.

From there, Adri, who was impressed and enthusiastic about Carla, sets out to find her, a friend finds the name and address on the jacket, it is the address of a psychiatric hospital.
Adri goes to the place, asks for Carla and realizes that she is a patient of the psychiatric hospital, that she lives there and that he cannot see her because he is not on the list of visitors, the way he finds to get closer to her is to look for a doctor who gives him a medical report to confine himself in the psychiatric clinic. He finally manages to get in but things with Carla did not go as he expected, he wants to leave the place but, being considered a patient, he requires a medical evaluation to authorize the exit, so he has to spend a month in the sanatorium.

Let's be clear, "Loco por ella", is a romantic comedy so it is relaxed, witty, presents situations in a very "light" way, has a happy ending and flirts with some known plots, however, it has something special and distinctive: it takes a sobering look at that world we have been creating that we can all be happy, it's just a matter of proposing it. I believe that this is a valid statement for a large universe of people, but for others it is not a matter of choice because they live and feel situations that they cannot face alone and require the help and support of health professionals.
Adri manages to understand this and in her monologue says to herself:
An eloquent phrase because sometimes we believe that what the other person needs is love and understanding to change and be happy, feelings that although they are valid are not enough if we really want to help a person.
Another interesting theme that the film touches on is a criticism of the generalized opinion that people do not read, that due to the rush of today's life we need short, concrete texts that deal with shallow topics and that do not "bother anyone".
Adri makes a report of his experience in the psychiatric hospital, which is a success, which makes the editor change the policy of publications to topics of greater interest, of social content and that people see themselves reflected in them. Although it is a comic and even burlesque scene, it is said: there is a huge public out there, interested in reading stories with content, that leave spaces for reflection and knowledge.

A mi me encanto mucho Loco por Ella. Una comedia romántica española muy buen hecha. El director tiene experiencia con este tipo de comedias y aquí , con el tema del psiquiátrico hace algo divertido y con un pequeño mensaje que invita a la reflexión. He recomendado esta comedia a todo el que puedo, es de esas pelis frescas que te dejan buena sensación.
