Hoy les hablare un poco de “Los Simpsons” uno de los mejores programas de televisión que han existido, una serie que todos conocemos, una con la que muchos crecimos viendo, y que al menos para mí, ha influido en la confección de la personalidad y carisma que tengo, además de ser una de mis favoritas, es por ello que hablare sobre lo que me gusta de esta serie y destacaré mi episodio favorito. Como ya todos deben saber, “Los Simpsons” es una serie estadounidense de comedia en formato de animación, creada por Matt Groening y que comenzó como una serie de cortos en 1987 y posteriormente se transformo en una serie de 30 minutos por capítulos, haciendo su debut en diciembre de 1989 con un episodio especial de navidad. La razón por la que hoy quiero hablar de esta serie es para expresar porque me fascina.
Las razones porque me gusta tanto son demasiadas, pero suponga que las que más me han atraído son la manera en que muestran situaciones cotidianas de una familia, como enfrentan problemas y a pesar de las diferencias que existen entre ellos, se apoyan para superarlos, y claro, con el toque de comedia que es característico. También me gusta como usan referencias de otras obras en sus chistes, ya sean de televisión, música, literatura, ciencia, hechos reales, etc. Pero lo que más me enamoró de la serie fue la forma en que transmiten mensajes en sus episodios, una situación o problema real de nuestra sociedad ellos la reflejan desde el punto de vista sátiro, ya que la ciudad Springfield es como un universo donde sus personajes enfrentan diversas situaciones, las cuales en ocasiones son usadas para mostrar las cosas como en realidad son, de una manera sarcástica. Todos estos mensajes y significados ocultos en sus episodios le han valido a Los Simpsons para que tengan influencia en inmensidades otros programas de televisión.

I also like how they use references to other works in their jokes, whether they are from television, music, literature, science, real events, etc. But what most fell in love with the series was the way they convey messages in their episodes, a real situation or problem in our society, they reflect it from the satyr point of view, since the city of Springfield is like a universe where its characters They face various situations, which are sometimes used to show things as they really are, in a sarcastic way. All these messages and hidden meanings in its episodes have allowed The Simpsons to influence immensely other television programs.

Creo que para poder expresar mejor el por qué me gusta tanto los Simpsons, debo hablar de mi episodio favorito, para que los pocos que nunca se han atrevido a ver el programa, tengan un pequeño incentivo.Me costó muchísimo elegir uno, pero aun así lo hice, episodio favorito pertenece a la quinta, la cual es mi temporada favorita, tuve que decidir entre dos episodios de dicha temporada, por un lado estaba “Bart gets an elephant”, uno de los mejores episodios de la serie que recibió un Premio Environmental Media por Mejor episodio de comedia en televisión y un Premio Genesis por Mejor serie de comedia en televisión. Por otro lado el episodio con que me quedé, “Homer goes to University”, otro episodio exitosísimo de la serie que cuando lo vi lo disfruté y reí a más no poder. A continuación le relataré del episodio.
“Homer goes to University”, como su titulo lo expresa, trata de Homero en la universidad, la razón fue debido a que después de fallar en una prueba de seguridad en la planta nuclear, se reveló que Homer no contaba con el curso aprobado de Física Nuclear, lo que lo obliga a tener que asistir a la universidad. Cuando Homer llega a la universidad, tiene una mala noción estereotipada acerca de esta, como la clásica situación de “brabucones” que abusan de “nerds”, o la de un rector estricto que reprime a los estudiantes. Creyéndose todos estos estereotipos y clichés, Homer se autoindentifica como un Popular y brabucón, y ficha desde el inicio al rector como un “amargoso”. Homer se encuentra su primera traba en la universidad cuando en una clase explican el funcionamiento de un acelerador de protones, él cree que su largo tiempo en la planta le hace saberlo todo y falla al tratar de hacerlo funcionar, esto hace que el rector lo ponga bajo la tutela de tres chicos estudiante que son unos nerds, pero Homer no se da cuenta de que lo son. Estos tres jóvenes intenta ayudar a Homer para que apruebe el curso, pero este al enterarse que son nerds intenta hacer que dejen un poco los estudios y disfruten la vida sin. Después de que fallara una broma que Homer planeó hacer con los tres nerds, quedan expulsados y se van a vivir con los Simpsons, pero la familia se harta de ellos, entonces Homer ayuda a los chicos a que los admitan de nuevo en la universidad. En agradecimiento, los tres jóvenes se infiltran en el sistema de la universidad y le cambia la calificación “F” de Homer por una con mención honorifica, pero Marge al enterarse de esto se molesta y le pide que vuelva a la universidad a cursar el año sin hacer trampas.
My favorite episode

Son esos episodios los que hacen que los Simpsons sea una de las mejores series en televisión, esos capítulos donde aparte de hacerte reír te dan un mensaje de cosas de la vida. Para mí son como maestros de la universidad de la vida, que me muestran las cosas desde puntos que yo no podía ver, de hecho hay muchas y personas y organizaciones como universidades (como lo es la universidad de Glasgow, Reino Unido) que usan los episodios de los Simpsons para explicar diferentes temas y situaciones, ya que generan argumentos de los diferentes aspectos sociales de una manera sátira, lo cual lo hace fácil de abordar.

For me they are like teachers of the university of life, showing me things from points that I could not see, in fact there are many and people and organizations such as universities (such as the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom) that use the episodes of the Simpsons to explain different topics and situations, since they generate arguments of the different social aspects in a satirical way, which makes it easy to approach.

Así es, amigo, a lo largo de los años se convirtieron en algo increíble, y es que desde su inicio la serie contaba con un estilo muy original en su narrativa y en la forma de elaborar las tramas en cada capítulo. Gracias por leer mi post, amigo.
Es dificil elegir un episodio favorito, por supuesto los mejores son de las primeras temporadas, de la temporada 10 hacia arriba ya no es lo mismo. Diria que mi episodio favorito es THe Treehouse Horro V" de la temporada 6 , en donde hacen 3 parodias, una de la pelicula "The shining", Homero viaja en el tiempo, parodiando varias peliculas y textos distopicos y finalmente en la escuela primaria los profesores se alimentan de la carne de los niños. Me alegra encontrarme con otro fan de los Simpsons aquí, es una de mis comedias animadas favoritas de todos los tiempos... Aunque recientemente la calidad ha bajado es innegable el impacto que han tenido en nuestra cultura popular.
