A few days ago I had the opportunity to enjoy the new Disney movie: Encanto. A colorful and colorful musical in a mystical plot of a Colombian family that had, among the members of the family, great gifts.

Se trata de la familia Madrigal, quienes en tiempos de guerra se vieron obligados a abandonar su pueblo natal, y en ese abandono el padre de la familia perdió la vida. Quedando la madre, Alma, a cargo de sus 3 hijos: Pepa, Bruno y Julieta. Pero en ese momento, que la madre, vió cómo perdía a su esposo, llorando desconsolada tiene una vela cerca, y esta vela queda encendida, siendo entonces la referencia de toda la familia.

It is about the Madrigal family, who in times of war were forced to leave their hometown, and in that abandonment the father of the family lost his life. The mother, Alma, was left in charge of her 3 children: Pepa, Bruno and Julieta. But at that moment, when the mother, seeing how she lost her husband, crying disconsolate, has a candle nearby, and this candle is lit, being then the reference of the whole family.
Estos dones van desde la súper fuerza, como hablar con animales, cambiar de forma, cambiar el clima, producir flores hermosas, hasta ver el futuro.
Pero, Mirabel, una de las nietas de Alma, Hija de Julieta, no tiene ningún don. Cuando le tocó recibirlo, fue a la ceremonia y la puerta que debía abrirse y mostrar el don, se cerró. Generando en Alma una indiferencia para con su nieta.
I say the reference, because this magic candle created, for the Madrigals, what would be their home and their village: ENCANTO. There they grew up and were cared for by their mother. Each one made his own family, but each son and grandson of Alma, was granted a gift, which was received at a certain age and in a very special ceremony, where the whole family and all the other members of the village came to celebrate after the gift was given.
These gifts ranged from super strength, such as talking to animals, changing shape, changing the weather, producing beautiful flowers, to seeing the future.
But, Mirabel, one of Alma's granddaughters, Daughter of Juliet, has no gift. When it was her turn to receive it, she went to the ceremony and the door that was supposed to open and show the gift, closed. Generating in Alma an indifference towards her granddaughter.
Fue cuando entonces empezaron a aparecer unas grietas en la casa. Y Mirabel, empezó a indagar sobre lo que estaba ocurriendo, encontrando que su tío Bruno, quien decían estaba muerto, vivía oculto en un escondite de la casa. Allí empiezan las complicaciones y en su deseo de entender todo lo que estaba ocurriendo, no dejó de indagar hasta descubrir el por qué ella no tenía su don y por qué aparecían las grietas.
However, Mirabel always tries to do everything right, because she felt that she didn't fit in with her family, that she was different. But that difference was what led her to realize that everyone in the family was trying to please Grandma Alma and afraid of not being right with her, they stopped doing what they really wanted to do.
It was then that cracks began to appear in the house. And Mirabel, began to inquire about what was happening, finding that her uncle Bruno, who they said was dead, was living hidden in a hiding place in the house. There began the complications and in her desire to understand everything that was happening, she did not stop investigating until she discovered why she did not have her gift and why the cracks appeared.

Logrando tener todas las respuestas, además de poder sanar las heridas que en la familia tenían y rescatar nuevamente la casa de los Madrigal, Mirabel logra reunirlos, ayudando que cada uno empiece a ser lo que es y a hacer lo que quieren en realidad.
Having all the answers, besides being able to heal the wounds in the family and rescue the Madrigal's house again, Mirabel manages to reunite them, helping each one of them to start being who they are and to do what they really want.
¿QUÉ ME GUSTÓ?
En esta película vemos muchos elementos que cautivan, los colores, la animación, las canciones, elementos que fueron en concordancia con la temática, adaptados a una cultura propia de América Latina, destacando ritmos latinos que caracterizan un país caribeño. De hecho, los detalles a nivel de vestimenta y facciones de los personajes, fueron propios muy bien trabajados y demostrados en los personajes de la película.
WHAT DID I LIKE?
In this film we see many elements that captivate, the colors, the animation, the songs, elements that were in accordance with the theme, adapted to a Latin American culture, highlighting Latin rhythms that characterize a Caribbean country. In fact, the details at the level of clothing and features of the characters, were very well worked and demonstrated in the characters of the film.

Aunado a ello, nos encontraremos con la familiaridad que es propia del latino, el hacer fiestas y que esté la familia, que haya un problema y que todos estén al tanto, son elementos que allí evidenciaremos. Así mismo, destacar a los artistas colombianos, quienes son los sque hacen las voces de los personajes.
In addition to this, we will find the familiarity that is typical of the Latino, having parties and the family being there, that there is a problem and that everyone is aware of it, are elements that we will see there. Also, we will highlight the Colombian artists, who are the voices of the characters.
Ciertamente, hubo muchas criíticas, unos dicen que faltó destacar más elementos propios de Colombia, pero mi percepción es que hay muchos detalles culturales de este país: la vestimenta, la comida, la música y que lo que busca destacar es la esencia de la familia. Además, hay que entender que no fue en una ciudad particular, sino de una zona rural que asumió una forma propia pero con tradiciones colombianas, y más aún, latina.
En mi opinión, Encanto es un encanto de película, que muestra tradiciones y realidades de las familias, invitándonos a valorar y a apreciar a quienes tenemos a nuestro alrededor. Una película para disfrutar en familia y verla muchas veces. Que es referencia para rescatar tradiciones y vivir la armonia de una familia, que con sus diferencias, logra resolver problemas para sanar heridas y cerrar grietas.
We can also observe the influence of the educational line of a mother who has to assume her role alone, being responsible for three children, but limiting them so that each one can have emotional independence, being, in the case of Alma, the one who approves or does not approve of what they will do. This leads us to reflect on the importance of having subtlety in our way of educating, so that the children can discover themselves, recognize themselves and have the maturity to do as responsibly as possible with their gifts.
Certainly, there were many criticisms, some say that it lacked to highlight more elements of Colombia, but my perception is that there are many cultural details of this country: the clothes, the food, the music and that what it seeks to highlight is the essence of the family. In addition, it must be understood that it was not in a particular city, but in a rural area that assumed its own form but with Colombian traditions, and even more, Latin.
In my opinion, Encanto is a charming film that shows traditions and realities of families, inviting us to value and appreciate those we have around us. A movie to enjoy with the family and watch it many times. It is a reference to rescue traditions and live the harmony of a family, that with its
