This weekend we had nothing interesting to watch ... Or else, we have something to watch, but either my girlfriend complained or I can't watch it with her (like "Peacemaker", which was not released on HBO in Poland, but with subtitles from "independent" creators yet, apart from the first episode). Or another reason, like in the case of "Life with Louie", which I got bored after 3 episodes, but this series will be watched calmly 1-3 episodes a week. We tried to watch "Eternals" which felt like a nice movie (for Marvel), but was also a bit of a boring time jammer. Asia was whining about his level so I switched to "Peacemaker". Before I get to him, however, a few words about "Daredevil". I saw it after the premiere, I wrote a review and I have not changed my mind - a great series compared to what I have seen from Marvel so far. The only things that annoy me about him are Murdock's work partner and a few little things (and a few things that will come later - like one man's pills that made him super powerful ... Unless I mistook it for "Jessica Jones" or another season of DD). Everything else is great - actors, script, fights, brutality, climate, characters, morals from the plot ... Apart from elements for older viewers, Netflix's work does everything better than Marvel in its D + productions. So far, we've probably watched half of it, but my girlfriend likes it, so we'll probably watch the whole thing - including season 3, which I haven't seen yet, because 2 disappointed me (of course, I will skip most episodes of S2, so my better half won't complain xD). I haven't asked her for opinion yet, but since she watched it the moment I fell asleep during the screening, I assume that she at least likes it (or is intrigued by the plot). A great antidote after Marvel squeezes too many cameos, unnecessary threads into their series, and forgets about the most important (characters and threads). It's a pity that Netflix only made this series successful, because they had a great opportunity to build a cool mini-universe, and apart from this series, it turned out poorly or very poorly, because with each subsequent series, the level only dropped.
For the rest, the Anderson animated series does a great job after many years. While this is not the "Batman The Animated Series" tier, this is a Mastery tier, so few titles can match it. The cartoon is still fun, smart, and its plot and characters have not grown old in my eyes. I could easily show this title to today's children, and they would find something interesting in it. If unfamiliar real-life situations, then various archetypes of characters with which they have either already encountered or are yet to meet. And if none of the above, then at least good humor and Polish dubbing, which is still high! Perfect translation and selection of voice actors.
When it comes to "Peacemaker", it's not long for now, because I want to leave something for my opinion about the middle of the season. We've only seen 1 episode so far, but my girlfriend and I liked it. Wow, this is the best super-hero series I have seen aside from DD! Admittedly, this may only be an impression after an episode directed by James Gunn, but I assume he picked the right people for his script. It is fine in every way! And I would even say very well! If you liked "The Suicide Squad", I recommend that you give this series a chance - it is more down-to-earth, stronger in some aspects, and the relationship between the title character and his eagle ... I guarantee you will not be disappointed!
W ten weekend nie mieliśmy nic ciekawego do oglądania... Albo inaczej, mamy co oglądać, ale albo moja dziewczyna narzekała albo nie mogę tego z nią oglądać (jak np. "Peacemaker", który nie został wydany w Polsce na HBO, a napisów od "niezależnych" twórców jeszcze nie ma, poza pierwszym epizodem). Lub jeszcze inny powód, jak w przypadku "Life with Louie", które mi się znudziło po 3 odcinkach, no ale ten serial będziemy sobie na spokojnie oglądali 1-3 odcinki na tydzień. Próbowaliśmy obejrzeć "Eternals", które sprawiało wrażenie niezłego filmu (jak na Marvela), ale było również trochę nudnym zapychaczem czasu. Asia marudziła na jego poziom, więc zmieniłem na "Peacemakera". Nim jednak do niego dojdę, to parę słów o "Daredevilu". Widziałem go już po premierze, recenzję napisałem i zdania nie zmieniłem - super serial w porównaniu do tego, co póki co widziałem od Marvela. Jedyne rzeczy, jakie mnie w nim denerwują to partner w pracy Murdocka i kilka drobnostek (no i parę rzeczy, które pojawią się później - jak pigułki jednego człowieka, które dodały mu super mocy... O ile nie pomyliłem tego z "Jessica Jones" lub innym sezonem DD). Cała reszta jest super - aktorzy, scenariusz, walki, brutalność, klimat, postacie, morały wynikające z fabuły... Pomijając elementy dla starszych widzów, to dzieło Netflixa wszystko robi lepiej niż Marvel w swoich produkcjach przeznaczonych na D+. Póki co obejrzeliśmy bodajże połowę, ale mojej dziewczynie się podoba, więc pewnie obejrzymy całość - włącznie z 3 sezonem, którego póki co nie widziałem, bo 2 mnie rozczarował (oczywiście pominę większość epizodów S2, by moja lepsza połowa nie narzekała xD). Nie pytałem jej jeszcze o opinię, ale skoro oglądała go w momencie, gdy zasnąłem w trakcie seansu, to zakładam że jej się co najmniej podoba (lub intryguje ją fabuła). Świetna odtrutka po tym, jak Marvel wciska do swoich seriali za dużo cameo, niepotrzebnych wątków, a zapomina o tych najważniejszych (postaciach i wątkach). Szkoda, że Netflixowi udał się tylko ten serial, bo mieli świetną okazję do zbudowania fajnego mini-uniwersum, a poza tym serialem wyszło słabo lub bardzo słabo, bo wraz z każdym kolejnym, poziom jedynie spadał.
Jeśli chodzi o resztę, to serial animowany o Andersonie świetnie się broni po latach. Nie jest to co prawda poziom "Batman The Animated Series", ale to jest poziom mistrzowski, więc niewiele tytułów może się z nim równać. Kreskówka nadal jest zabawna, mądra, zaś jej fabuła i bohaterowie nie zestarzeli się w moich oczach. Bez problemu mógłbym pokazać ten tytuł dzisiejszym dzieciom, a one znalazłyby w nim coś dla siebie. Jeśli nie znajome sytuacje z życia wzięte, to różne archetypy charakterów, z którymi albo już się spotkały albo dopiero spotkają. A jeśli nic z powyższych, to przynajmniej dobry humor i polski dubbing, który nadal trzyma wysoki poziom! Doskonałe tłumaczenie i dobór aktorów głosowych.
Jeśli zaś chodzi o "Peacemakera", to póki co krótko, bo chcę sobie zostawić coś na opinię o połowie sezonu. Póki co widzieliśmy tylko 1 odcinek, ale podobał się mi i mojej dziewczynie. Wow, jest to najlepszy serial super-hero, jaki widziałem poza DD! Co prawda może to być tylko wrażenie po odcinku, który wyreżyserował James Gunn, ale zakładam że wybrał sobie odpowiednich ludzi do realizacji swojego scenariusza. Jest dobrze pod każdym względem! A nawet powiedziałbym bardzo dobrze! Jeżeli podobał się Wam "The Suicide Squad", to polecam dać szansę temu serialowi - jest bardziej przyziemny, mocniejszy w niektórych aspektach, a relacja tytułowego bohatera z jego orłem... No cudo! Gwarantuję, nie zawiedziecie się!
