I just finished watching Piano no mori, Forest of Piano, but it's not that series I'm going to tell you about. Several months ago, I think last year, I watched Violet Evergarden (s1), its special episode and the first movie called Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll (OVA). I can assure you that during all those hours in a row that I watched all that content on Netflix I was crying, I only calmed down between chapters to keep crying more and more without being able to stop.
I see the trailers and I start to want to cry again because it becomes impossible for me not to remember everything Violet lived, everything she went through, which added to the incredible soundtrack and the impeccable animation that makes it perfect, it doesn't have the slightest complaint from me, I need more of this and with pleasure I just found out that on December 3 last year a new movie was released in Japan, I cried when I saw the trailer, I don't want to know what I will do when I watch the movie.
Acabo de terminar de ver Piano no mori, El bosque del piano, pero no es de esa serie de la que les voy a hablar. Hace varios meses, creo que el año pasado, vi Violet Evergarden (s1), su capítulo especial y la primera película llamada Violet Evergarden: Eternity and the Auto Memory Doll (OVA). Les puedo asegurar que durante todas esas horas seguidas que vi todo ese contenido en Netflix estuve llorando, solo me calmaba entre capítulos para seguir llorando cada vez más sin poder detenerme.
Veo los trailers y comienzo a querer llorar otra vez porque se me hace imposible no recordar todo lo que vivió Violet, todo por lo que pasó, que sumado al increíble soundtrack y la impecable animación que tiene la hacen perfecta, no tiene la menor queja de mi parte, necesito más de esto y con gusto acabo de descubrir que el 3 de diciembre del año pasado se estrenó una nueva película en Japón, con el trailer lloré, no quiero saber lo que haré al ver la película.

Violet: a weapon of war, a doll without feelings, it is almost nonsense that she becomes one of the people in charge of expressing the feelings that someone does not know how to show through letters, and at the beginning if was a disaster, it was horrible, but the more time she spent with humans who were not trying to murder her, the greater her understanding of human nature and therefore of herself.
La vida de Violet nunca fue fácil, nació en un mundo en guerra, fue tomada como un arma y desde ese día dejó de ser humana para el resto del mundo, al menos hasta que la guerra terminó y Violet no supo qué hacer con su vida, ella creía que ya no tenía ningún valor al no poder seguir ayudando a su país a ganar batallas sangrientas con la frialdad que la caracteriza, pero estaba en todo lo contrario; se une a la Compañía Postal CH y después se convierte una Auto Memory Doll o, una Muñeca de Memoria Automática, que son las mujeres que se encargan de escribir cartas para las personas analfabetas o cualquier otra persona que quiera expresar sus sentimientos pero no sabe cómo hacerlo.
Violet: un arma de guerra, una muñeca sin sentimientos, es casi un disparate que ella se convierta en una de las personas a cargo de expresar los sentimientos que alguien no sabe demostrar a través de cartas, y al principio si fue un desastre, era horrible, pero mientras más tiempo pasaba con humanos que no la estaban intentando asesinar, mayor era su entendimiento sobre la naturaleza humana y por lo tanto de ella misma.
Violet is going to become one of the best Auto Memory Dolls, but to achieve it she is going to make us suffer as you have no idea, each of the assignments for which she will be explicitly requested or to which she will go because there was no one else available will teach her how to live, how to cry, how to recognize her own feelings and how to express them in an appropriate way no matter how much they hurt, because all the traumas she has gone through left their mark on her and she needs to heal to be able to live in peace.
One of the reasons why Violet decided to learn to be a Doll is to understand the meaning of the words I love you, which were said to her at a crucial moment in her life, and knowing that by writing letters they expressed the feelings of others, she decided to learn that profession to begin to understand herself.
Violet se va a convertir en una de las mejores Auto Memory Dolls, pero para lograrlo nos va a hacer sufrir como tienen idea, cada uno de los encargos para los que va a ser explícitamente solicitada o a los que irá porque no había nadie más disponible le van a enseñar cómo vivir, cómo llorar, a reconocer sus propios sentimientos y cómo expresarlos de una manera adecuada sin importar que duelan muchísimo, pues todos los traumas por los que ha pasado dejaron su marca en ella y necesita sanar para poder vivir en paz.
Una de las razones por las que Violet decidió aprender a ser una Doll es para entender el significado de las palabras te amo, que le fueron dichas en un momento crucial de su vida, y al saber que ellas escribiendo cartas expresaban los sentimientos de los demás, decidió aprender ese oficio para comenzar a entenderse a sí misma.
As you may have noticed, visually it is flawless, even I who suffer from migraine loved each of the scenes with excess of light, with very bright and expressive colors. The quality of the animation, of the landscapes they show us, of absolutely everything is incredible and flawless, the delicacy of the textures cannot be overlooked and is something that makes this series unique. I'm going to watch it again as soon as I finish this review, I need to cry.
My favorite characters were Gilbert Bougainvillea, the general who was in charge of Violet for all the years she was fighting in the war, he was the first person to treat Violet as a human being and not a murder weapon; Claudia Hodgins was Gilbert's friend and is Violet's boss, as the CH Postal Company belongs to him and he is the one who helps Violet rejoin society after the war ends; Cattleya Baudelaire and Benedict Blue, the Postal Company's star Auto Memory Doll and one of their mailmen, were Violet's first friends, who no matter how weird the whole situation was asked no questions and tried to help and understand Violet while she did the same with the world.
Como habrán notado, visualmente no tiene defectos, incluso yo que sufro de migraña amé cada una de las escenas con exceso de luz, con colores muy luminosos y expresivos. La calidad de la animación, de los paisajes que nos muestran, de absolutamente todo es increíble y no tiene defectos, la delicadeza de las texturas no se puede pasar por alto y es algo que hace única a esta serie. La voy a volver a ver en cuanto termine esta reseña, me hace falta llorar.
Mis personajes favoritos fueron Gilbert Bougainvillea, el general que estaba a cargo de Violet durante todos los años que estuvo peleando en la guerra, fue la primera persona que trató a Violet como un ser humano y no como un arma asesina; Claudia Hodgins era amigo de Gilbert y es el jefe de Violet, pues la Compañía Postal CH le pertenece a él y es quien ayuda a Violet a reincorporarse a la sociedad después de que la guerra termina; Cattleya Baudelaire y Benedict Blue, la Auto Memory Doll estrella de la Compañía Postal y uno de sus carteros, fueron los primeros amigos de Violet, que sin importar lo raro de toda la situación o hacían preguntas y trataban de ayudar y entender a Violet mientras ella hacía lo mismo con el mundo.

Las manos mecánicas de Violet siempre me sorprendieron, la primera vez que las vi quedé sin aliento, después solo entraba en éxtasis y no apartaba la vista de sus manos mientras usaba la máquina de escribir, una Auto Memory Doll tiene que ser capaz de escribir a la misma velocidad con la que se desarrolla una conversación y saber descifrar los sentimientos que se esconden en las palabras dichas, y Violet aprendió a hacerlo de una forma magistral, teniendo a su favor la gran velocidad con la que podía llegar a escribir y transcribir gracias a sus manos.
La expresión de las personas que solicitaban el servicio de una Auto Memory Doll al ver las manos de Violet siempre fueron perfectas, mi favorita siempre eran las de los niños, cada vez que la veían pensaban y creían de verdad que Violet era una muñeca y no una persona, así que se la pedían prestada a los mayores para jugar con ella, siempre me reía en esas partes, era un pequeño respiro de todas las emociones intensas que nos bombardeaban en cada capítulo.
Not only the animation is one of the best things about this series, you have to watch it to listen to the opening, the ending and the rest of the songs and musical pieces: the peace, the tranquility, the way they represent the world that Violet is discovering and understanding, all the emotions that the characters live, all that and more have a musical background that allow us to live deeply every situation that we are going to find.
If the series by itself didn't make me cry enough, the special chapter and the first movie finished bringing me out all the tears possible, the first movie despite not being directly related to the series is still part of Violet's life, it's canon, part of her real life; in this movie Violet helps a teenage girl who is in a boarding school for women, and whether it's canon or not I cried too much.
In the course of all the assignments or missions, as Violet calls them, we will see her helping princesses and princes to write their letters, mothers with their daughters, lovers separated by thousands of miles, even writers who lost the way to correctly express their thoughts and need the help of someone else to do it clearly. Each of these letters teach Violet essential things about life that even one forgets and it is worth remembering.
No solo la animación es una de las mejores cosas de esta serie, tienen que verla para escuchar el opening, el ending y el resto de canciones y piezas musicales que hay: la paz, la tranquilidad, la forma en que representan el mundo que Violet esta descubriendo y entendiendo, todas las emociones que viven los personajes, todo eso y más tienen un fondo musical que permiten vivir profundamente cada situación con la que nos vamos a encontrar.
Si la serie por sí sola no me hizo llorar lo suficiente, el capítulo especial y la primera película terminaron de sacarme todas las lágrimas posibles, la primera película a pesar de no estar directamente relacionada con la serie sigue siendo parte de la vida de Violet, es canon, parte de su vida real; en esta película Violet ayuda a una adolescente que se encuentra en un internado de mujeres, y sea canon o no lloré demasiado.
En el transcurso de todos los encargos o misiones, como les llama Violet, la veremos ayudar a princesas y príncipes a escribir sus cartas, a madres con sus hijas, a enamorados separados por miles de kilómetros, hasta escritores que perdieron la forma de plasmar correctamente sus pensamientos y necesitan la ayuda de alguien más para hacerlo con claridad. Cada una de esas cartas le enseñan a Violet cosas esenciales de la vida, que hasta uno mismo olvida y no está de más recordar.
This is a series to remember how to live and not to lose hope, that no matter how horrible everything is, somehow it will get better and that's why it's not worth giving up without giving everything of yourself. This is one of those anime that will surprise you no matter if you have seen thousands of other anime before.

Esta es una serie para recordar cómo vivir y no perder las esperanzas, que sin importar qué tan horrible esté todo, de alguna forma va a mejorar y por eso no vale la pena rendirse sin dar todo de uno mismo. Este es uno de esos animes que te van a sorprender sin importar que hayas visto otros miles de animes con anterioridad.
