I saw this movie some time ago and did a review. I believe it is a film from South Africa. It falls into the sub-genre known as Eco Horror. I really liked the movie, a good story that kept me always watching what was going on and a nice tragic ending. I would have liked to read more of your opinion about the message of the movie.

That's right, it's a South African film. I haven't seen much of this film but I liked it a lot.

The hidden message for me is that we understand that technology is harming the world but we do more harm to the world and the human being when we fall into religious fanaticism.
Misguided faith does not make serious mistakes and what we see as dirty and morbid can be an act of love. The point of the film is that we have to overcome ourselves spiritually in order not to judge so easily and we have to respect the spiritual level of all people.
It will sound strange, but the paraphilia scene seemed to me something sublime, how can a person love the essence of something even if it changes its physical form, that is pure love, deep love.
