¿Cuál es la la mejor película de horror que has visto? | What is the best horror movie you've ever seen?
Encontrar una película de horror que logre darte esa sensación de escalofrío en el cuello y sea la razón por la que no puedes dormir de noche, me parece muy difícil. Muchos vemos una película de horror o terror y nos quedamos con las risas o la decepción de no haber encontrado lo que queríamos o esperábamos ...Mama....
Finding a horror movie that manages to give you that shivering feeling in your neck and is the reason why you can't sleep at night, I find it very difficult. Many of us watch a horror movie and are left with either laughter or disappointment that we didn't find what we wanted or expected (-Mama-).
Personalmente esto me molesta un poco porque las películas y series de horror y misterio son mis favoritas. No soy una persona muy valiente pero este género me entretiene muchísimo y cuando encuentro una buena, buena película me siento realizada, además de con insomnio jajaja. Así que hoy les traigo un top, ordenado de la menos favorita a la “más” favorita, de películas de horror que me marcaron y si les gusta el género definitivamente se las recomiendo. Les contaré un poco de la trama, las razones por las que a mi me parece es una buena película y mi experiencia cuando la vi.
Personally this bothers me a bit because horror and mystery movies and series are my favorite. I'm not a very brave person but this genre entertains me a lot and when I find a good, good movie I feel accomplished, as well as insomnia hahaha. So today I bring you a top, ordered from least favorite to "most" favorite, of horror movies that marked me and if you like the genre I definitely recommend them. I'll tell you a little bit about the plot, the reasons why I think it's a good movie and my experience when I saw it.

3. El Conjuro | The Conjuring
Película estadounidense de 2013 dirigida por James Wan y protagonizada por Vera Farmiga y Patrick Wilson en el papel de los parapsicólogos Lorraine y Ed Warren.
Basada en los archivos paranormales de los Warren, relata la historia de la numerosa familia Perron quienes se mudan a una granja en Harrisville. Parece ser la casa ideal, espaciosa, con algunos misterios como el sótano que estaba entablonado o que todos los relojes paran a las 3:07am todos los días y el hecho de que el perro no le gusta la casa (quien muere al día 2 de estar en la casa, muy triste =() pero están dispuestos a hacer que la casa funcione para ellos. Mientras pasan los días más cosas extrañas suceden a cada miembro de la familia siendo cada vez menos capaces de pasar por alto y puesto que no tienen presupuesto para mudarse y nadie va a querer comprar la casa, la madre Carolyn busca y contacta a la pareja Warren para que los ayude.
Desde el momento en que los Warren entran a la casa la actividad paranormal aumenta drásticamente y el miedo de la familia solo se incrementa. Todos los involucrados hacen lo posible para acabar con el horror que la familia vive.

Based on the Warren's paranormal files, it tells the story of the large Perron family who move to a farmhouse in Harrisville. It seems to be the ideal house, spacious, with some mysteries like the basement that was boarded up or that all the clocks stop at 3:07am every day and the fact that the dog doesn't like the house (who dies on day 2 of being in the house, very sad =() but they are willing to make the house work for them. As the days go by more strange things happen to each member of the family being less and less able to overlook and since they have no budget to move and no one is going to want to buy the house, the mother Carolyn seeks out and contacts the Warren couple for help.
From the moment the Warrens enter the house the paranormal activity increases dramatically and the fear of the family only increases. Everyone involved does their best to put an end to the horror the family is experiencing.

Quizá esta película trae polémica pero debo decir que, para mi, de todas las historias de que una familia se va a vivir a una casa embrujada, esta es mi favorita. Creo completamente en que está bien hecha y tiene todo el paquete: historia de la vida real, documentación real, el audio increíble que te hace sentir el vacío antes del scream (el grito, la calma y la tensión antes de que salte algo a la pantalla), el nivel paranormal va subiendo poco a poco hasta que se descontrola manteniéndote atento a qué más puede suceder y el cómo lo van a resolver; también muestran los problemas de la familia Warren haciéndolos ver como personas normales que buscan ayudar y vivir su propia vida. Y Dios mío la muñeca, Annabelle de verdad me reafirmó el miedito a las muñecas de porcelana pero sus películas me hicieron olvidarlo.
Maybe this movie brings controversy but I must say that, for me, of all the stories about a family going to live in a haunted house, this is my favorite. I completely believe that it is well made and has the whole package: real life story, real documentation, the amazing audio that makes you feel the void before the scream (the scream, the calm and tension before something jumps on the screen), the paranormal level goes up little by little until it gets out of control keeping you attentive to what else can happen and how they will solve it; they also show the problems of the Warren family making them look like normal people who are looking to help and live their own life. And my god the doll, Annabelle really reaffirmed my fear of porcelain dolls but her movies made me forget it.
Las escenas que más tensión me causaron fueron las de la cajita de música, que aparecía alguien horrible en el espejo y el pánico que me da voltear y realmente ver algo; la primera escena del récord que crean de Annabelle, me pone super nerviosa; y la que se gana el primer premio es cuando la mamá está jugando a las escondidas con palmas con “su hija”, se queda encerrada en el sótano y se apagan las luces, ahí siempre el corazón se me acelera.
Lamentablemente la secuela de “El Conjuro” no fue tan interesante y aún no veo la tercera, la cual me han dado buenas y malas reseñas así que no espero nada, solo quiero verla.
The scenes that caused me the most tension were the ones with the little music box, where someone horrible appeared in the mirror and the panic I felt when I turned around and really saw something; the first scene of the record they create for Annabelle, it makes me super nervous; and the one that wins the first prize is when the mom is playing hide and seek with clapping hands with "her daughter", she gets locked in the basement and the lights go out, that's when my heart always races.
Unfortunately the sequel to "The Conjuring" wasn't that interesting and I have not seen the third one yet, which I have been given good and bad reviews so I don't expect anything, I just want to see it.
2. El Fotógrafo | Shutter
Es una película Tailandesa del 2004, dirigida por Banjong Pisanthanakun y Parkpoom Wongpoom y protagonizada por Ananda Everingham, Natthaweeranuch Thongmee y Jane Achita.
Se trata de los eventos paranormales que viven un fotógrafo y su novia, (Tun y Jane) después de atropellar a una chica en la carretera y darse a la fuga, siendo acosados por el espíritu lleno de ira de la misma. Dándole importancia a las fotos donde comienzan a visualizarse manchas con formas humanas que se supone no deben estar ahí. Mientras se desarrolla la película descubren la identidad de la chica y que su historia va mucho más atrás del día del accidente.
It is a 2004 Thai film, directed by Banjong Pisanthanakun and Parkpoom Wongpoom and starring Ananda Everingham, Natthaweeranuch Thongmee and Jane Achita.
It is about the paranormal events experienced by a photographer and his girlfriend, (Tun and Jane) after they run over a girl on the road and hit and run, being haunted by the girl's angry spirit. Giving importance to the photos where they begin to visualize spots with human shapes that are not supposed to be there. As the film unfolds, they discover the girl's identity and that her story goes back much further than the day of the accident.

Para escribir esta publicación quise volver a ver esta película porque la primera y última vez que lo hice tenía 15 años. No bueno, les miento, también vi la versión americana, que tiene la misma trama pero aseguro que no fue tan aterradora como la original. En fin, quería saber si esta era aún mi película de horror favorita pero como ven ahora está en el puesto número 2, se nota que he vivido muchas experiencias con películas de este género y siento que en su tiempo fue más terrorífica.
To write this post I wanted to watch this movie again because the first and last time I did it I was 15 years old. No well, I lie to you, I also saw the American version, which has the same plot but I assure you it wasn't as scary as the original. Anyway, I wanted to know if this was still my favorite horror movie but as you can see now it is in the number 2, you can tell that I have lived many experiences with movies of this genre and I feel that in its time it was more terrifying.
Desde temprano en la película sabemos que las cosas van mal, los encuentros paranormales y las fotos inexplicables siempre nos van a llamar la atención pero como toda película de horror en cuanto se conoce la forma y la identidad del “espíritu/fantasma” tu nivel de miedo baja un poco porque no hay nada que no conozcas ya. Esto no quita que Natre no sea un fantasma horrible y que esté graduada en volverte loco. Ahora que la ví con otra perspectiva y otra mentalidad sigue siendo una de mis películas favoritas en el género.
La escena más intensa es cuando Jane está en el salón de ciencias y comienza a tomar fotos a las esquinas, hay ruidos extraños y al final aparece el espíritu en su última fotografía, es espeluznante. También la escena final cuando Tunn hace lo mismo en su habitación y descubre que Natre siempre estuvo acosándolo.
Early on in the film we know things are going bad, paranormal encounters and unexplained photos are always going to get our attention but like any horror film as soon as you know the form and identity of the "spirit/ghost" your level of fear drops a bit because there is nothing you don't already know. This doesn't take away from the fact that Natre isn't a horrible ghost and is licensed to drive you insane. Now that I saw it with another perspective and another mindset it's still one of my favorite films in the genre.
The most intense scene is when Jane is in the science room and starts taking pictures of the corners, there are strange noises and at the end the spirit appears in her last picture, it's creepy. Also the final scene when Tunn does the same thing in his room and discovers that Natre was always stalking him.

Las películas que les mencionaré a continuación son títulos que me dieron bastante miedo y me pusieron los pelos de punta, también se las super recomiendo. No están en un orden particular. Son algunos clásicos y otras nuevas.
The movies I will mention below are titles that gave me quite a scare and made my skin crawl (goosebumps, is that way?), I also highly recommend them. They are in no particular order. They are some classics and some new ones.

1. El orfanato | The Orphanage
Película hispano-mexicana del 2007, producida por Guillermo del Toro y protagonizada por Belén Rueda, Fernando Cayo y Roger Príncep.
Relata la historia de una familia, Laura, Carlos y Simón, quienes se mudan al ex-orfanato donde Laura se crió con el objetivo de crear un centro residencial para niños. Desde la llegada al lugar Simón afirma tener un nuevo amigo, un niño que usa una bolsa en la cabeza, que los padres toman como un amigo imaginario que luego se convierten en 6 amigos nuevos con los que el pequeño juega constantemente y recrea en dibujos. Luego de un evento desafortunado se cree que Simón se ahogó en una cueva, en la costa cerca del orfanato cuando subió la marea pero al no encontrar su cuerpo Laura está segura de que su hijo sigue vivo en alguna parte y culpa a los espíritus que habitan el orfanato, llamando a una medium para buscar respuestas.
Al investigar más, encuentran noticias perturbadoras de los terribles hechos que sucedieron en el orfanato y Laura, convencida de que debe creer para ver, se queda sola en el edificio para obtener las respuestas sobre el paradero de su hijo.

It tells the story of a family, Laura, Carlos and Simón, who move to the former orphanage where Laura grew up with the aim of creating a residential center for children. Since the arrival to the place Simon claims to have a new friend, a boy who wears a bag on his head, which the parents take as an imaginary friend that later becomes 6 new friends with whom the little boy plays constantly and recreates in drawings. After an unfortunate event it is believed that Simon drowned in a cave, on the coast near the orphanage when the tide came in but not finding his body Laura is sure that her son is still alive somewhere and blames the spirits that inhabit the orphanage, calling a medium to seek answers.
As they investigate further, they find disturbing news of the terrible events that happened at the orphanage and Laura, convinced that she must believe to see, is left alone in the building to get the answers about her son's whereabouts.

Esta película la he visto aproximadamente 4 veces (puede ser más, puede ser menos) me parece que el plot es increíble, el juego de los niños fue el momento de mayor tensión durante la película, que tuve que taparme la cara (todas la veces) y me alejaba cuanto podía de la pantalla. El final no me decepcionó, es bastante inesperado y que la mujer fuera lo suficientemente valiente para encarar el horror por su hijo me hizo respetar al personaje. Otra cosa, creo que el hecho de que sea una película española le sube varios niveles de estrés y miedo.
I've seen this movie about 4 times (maybe more, maybe less) I think the plot is incredible, the children's game was the most tense moment during the movie, I had to cover my face (every time) and I moved away from the screen as much as I could. The ending didn't disappoint me, it's quite unexpected and that the woman was brave enough to face the horror for her son made me respect the character. Another thing, I think the fact that it's a Spanish film raises the stress and fear levels several degrees.
BONUS SERIES:
Hablé de las películas que más me marcaron en este género pero también hay muy buenas series que destacan porque aunque sientes miedo y escalofríos igual le das play al siguiente capítulo. Siendo esta una serie nueva, me da fe de que podremos encontrar buenas películas y series en el futuro, así que les recomiendo ver la serie de Netflix “The Haunting of Hill House”.
I talked about the movies that marked me the most in this genre but there are also very good series that stand out because even though you feel fear and chills, you still play the next chapter. Being this a new series, it gives me faith that we can find good movies and series in the future, so I recommend you to watch the Netflix series "The Haunting of Hill House".
Disfruté muchísimo el terror, el misterio, como se unen las historias al final, en fin realmente muy buena. Aunque si creo en que el final fue demasiado jalado por los pelos. Es posible que luego haga un top de series de horror y darles más detalles de ellas.
I really enjoyed the horror, the mystery, how the stories come together at the end, really very good. Although I do think the ending was a bit too far fetched. I may make a top horror series later and give you more details about them.

Adoro este concurso de @moviesonhive, repito es mi género favorito y creo que solo estaba esperando una excusa para hacer un post como este, me divertí y asusté de nuevo buscando los trailers y la información de las películas, también debo confesar que me distraje viendo datos curiosos de estas películas y casos paranormales por Youtube jajaja.
Siento que me extendí demasiado así que disculpas por eso pero realmente me emocioné, además estuve 3 días haciendo este post porque estaba empeñada en que quería ver la película de “Shutter” también vi muchos tops de películas que tuve que anoté los títulos para verlas después.
I love this @moviesonhive contest, I repeat it's my favorite genre and I think I was just waiting for an excuse to make a post like this, I had fun and scared myself again looking for trailers and the movie info, I must also confess that I got distracted watching curious facts about these movies and paranormal cases on Youtube hahaha.
I feel like I went too long so apologies for that but I really got excited, plus I spent 3 days making this post because I was determined that I wanted to see the movie "Shutter". I also saw many movie tops that I had to write down the titles to see them later.
Otro plus es que mientras buscaba el multimedia me dio miedo, quería terminar lo más rápido posible 😅
Es todo por hoy, espero que hayan encontrado un título que les llame la atención y si ya la vieron diganme que piensan sobre ella o lo que los hizo temblar de miedo. Ya quiero revisar los otros post de esta #horrorweek y ver si encuentro otra joya del horror.

¡Jesy! Que gusto verte por acá :D Me gustó tu post. De las que mencionaste, le tengo un gran afecto a El Conjuro. Recuerdo que esa la vi solo y me dió unos susto que para qué te cuento jaja Yo agregaría las películas de Ari Aster- o te las recomiendo, en el caso de que no las hayas visto- que son de un terror psicológico. Hereditary y Midsommar. Hay a quién no les gusta pero bue... Jaja
