Hola cinéfilos, he comenzado este 2022 con mucho animo para crear contenido, sobre todo sobre el séptimo arte, por lo cual el día de hoy quiero abrir por primera vez en este 2022 una sección de mi blog sobre lo más nuevo que nos propone uno de los servicios de streaming más importantes en cuanto a películas y series, en esta ocasión quiero comentar sobre la película The Lost Daughter.
Esta película significa el debut como directora para Maggie Gyllenhaal, quizás por el nombre no sea muy conocida, sin embargo, estoy seguro que su rostro le parecerá familiar debido a que ha actuado muchas veces en la gran pantalla. Este es un debut bastante atrevido y con un tema algo controversial, una apuesta que nos invita a pensar sobre la maternidad, pero desde un ángulo distinto al que normalmente observamos en secuencias de cine o series de televisión. Es una película estrenada en Netflix el ultimo día del año 2021, catapultándose hasta los primeros puestos en el top de popularidad apostando por un drama psicológico, algo bastante atractivo desde mi punto de vista.
Sinopsis:
Una mujer madura viaja a Grecia en sus vacaciones, sus recuerdos de la juventud florecen al ver una familia que también se recrea en la playa, una madre y su pequeña hija le hace recordar un pasado tormentoso, obsesionada con la joven y la pequeña deberá luchar contra sus demonios internos.
Análisis De La Película
La película se enfoca en un drama muy marcado entorno a la familia, específicamente en la relación madre e hija, sin embargo, nos propone una historia diferente a la que habitualmente conocemos, pero que a su vez es una realidad social que no se puede ignorar tan fácilmente, esta película expone situaciones por las cuales madres jóvenes pueden sentir frustración en cuanto a distintos aspectos de su vida por cuidar a los hijos.
Evidentemente las mujeres, así como todo ser humano individual reacciona diferente antes estas circunstancias, por lo cual muchas pueden desviarse y voltear la mirada a un camino diferente a lo que se supones es el sendero correcto en cuanto a valores. Lejos de hacer juzgar es una invitación a observar lo que desencadena una decisión que puede indudablemente afectar a la madre para más tarde convertirse en arrepentimiento.
Sin dudas es una apuesta atrevida presentar un enfoque diferente a algo tan solido culturalmente hablando dentro del mundo del cine, es aplaudible que, en el debut como directora, Gyllenhaal nos muestre esta historia que por cierto momento comparamos con un thriller psicológico con algo de intriga que nos hace permanecer frente a la pantalla de principio a fin.
¿Ficción o Realidad?
Esta película nos muestra una realidad que muchos ignoran pero que se encuentra presente en nuestra sociedad, incluso muchos conoceremos al menos algún caso en el cual la madre se derrumba ante la responsabilidad y agotamiento que supone el cuidado de los hijos, sobre todo cuando es más de uno, aunque prevalece los buenos ejemplos, existe un sector que psicológicamente es afectado a tal punto de hacer derrumbar el núcleo familiar ante la frustración y la desesperanza.
La película nos otorga secuencias en flashback donde conocemos la protagonista en su juventud, además, la producción nos estará arrojando pistas sobre lo que situaciones que afectan psicológicamente a la protagonista que desea escalar en su carrera profesional y tener algo de libertad. Debemos prestar atención a los detalles que en diversas escenas se trasmiten como pistas para enlazar un cuadro psicológico que puede terminar explotando.
Sin dudas las madres poseen una responsabilidad gigantesca en la familia (pilar de la sociedad), así como lo mencioné anteriormente esta película de cierta manera nos invita a reflexionar sobre esa gran responsabilidad de que poseen las madres, sobre todo las jóvenes que desean crecer en su vida profesional y amorosa. A pesar del amor que es indudable en la relación madre e hijos existe una carga emocional y psicológica que se encuentra en las madres con niños y que muchos ignoramos o desviamos la mirada con el pretexto de que ellas deben soportarlo, así lo dictamina nuestra cultura.
Actuación
Olivia Colman realiza un papel estupendo en la interpretación de esa mujer madura que por momentos se encuentra reprimida por sus sentimientos sobre el pasado. Un trabajo convincente y bastante bueno para el personaje principal, además, contamos con actuaciones de Dakota Johnson, Ed Harris, entre otros que le otorgan el verdadero entrenamiento a esta película.
Una producción lejos de ser comercial por sus escenarios simples y cotidianos, la actuación se convierte en el principal argumento sobre el cual el entretenimiento y esa sensación de libre interpretación sobre lo escrito en el guion traspasa la pantalla hasta llegar al espectador.
Drama Psicológico e Intriga
Uno de los puntos fuertes de esta producción es ese drama entorno a la mujer madura, es un drama que va arraigado a la psicología de la mujer y que se complementa con la intriga, es decir, no sabemos lo que sucederá, esperamos una revelación importante o un giro de la trama, no saber lo que ocurre, ocurrió u ocurrirá es parte de esa intriga que se imprime en la producción de principio a fin, teniendo efecto en las emociones del espectador.
En lo personal me gustan las películas psicológicas, si bien esta no posee terror, la intriga anteriormente mencionada nos propone un drama psicológico interesante a pesar de todas las limitaciones que posee la película.

Opinión Final
Indudablemente no es una película comercial, no posee efectos especiales, unos paisajes maravillosos, pero logra entretener a pesar de sus limitantes, su ritmo lento quizás se torna algo tedioso por algunos minutos, sin embargo, esa intriga que proporciona la producción es suficientemente atrayente para seguir viendo la película, por supuesto complementado con la buena actuación del reparto.
Una producción para reflexionar y en donde podemos de alguna manera entrar en la cabeza de una madre que se siente atrapada en su vida, sin juzgar por lo que culturalmente se dictamina se lleva más hacia un sendero reflexivo. Sin dudas una propuesta bastante interesante para un debut en la silla de dirección y que nos otorga un buen sabor de boca mirando hacia el futuro de esta directora.
¿La Recomiendo?
No es una película para todo el público, a pesar de que se encuentra en los primeros lugares en el top de popularidad en Netflix, creo que un segmento del publico puede encontrar esta película algo tediosa, sin embargo, nos muestra una historia diferente, lejos de ser una obra de arte cinematográfica disfrutaremos de buenas actuaciones e intriga en toda la secuencia. Nada de terror, solo intriga.

This film shows us a reality that many ignore but that is present in our society, even many of us know at least one case in which the mother collapses before the responsibility and exhaustion of caring for children, especially when there is more than one, although good examples prevail, there is a sector that is psychologically affected to the point of making the family unit collapse in frustration and hopelessness.
The film gives us flashback sequences where we know the protagonist in her youth, in addition, the production will be throwing us clues about what situations that psychologically affect the protagonist who wants to climb in her career and have some freedom. We must pay attention to the details that in various scenes are transmitted as clues to link a psychological picture that may end up exploding.

Undoubtedly a very interesting proposal for a debut in the director's chair and that gives us a good taste in the mouth looking towards the future of this director.
Do I recommend it?
It is not a film for all audiences, although it is in the first places in the top of popularity on Netflix, I think a segment of the public may find this film somewhat tedious, however, it shows us a different story, far from being a work of cinematic art we will enjoy good performances and intrigue throughout the sequence. No horror, just intrigue.

Pues, en estos momentos son muchas las peliculas con un sentido parecido, que hay que verlas 2 o 3 veces para poder entenderlas, algo asi como esto fue la pelicula que tambien es nueva en netflix llamada lo imperdonable, muy buena y recomendada.
Si, esa la quiero ver. Quizás hoy mismo la pueda ver, he visto que la recomiendan mucho.
