Vesemir vive en un pueblo pobre, donde sus padres son sirvientes de la realeza, ayudando y adorando a sus amos, deseando irse del pueblo, tener una vida diferente, conocer el mundo y ganar mucho dinero. Un día, conoce a un brujo, un hombre enorme con poderes que gana dinero matando monstruos, allí ve una oportunidad de salir de la pobreza, ve la oportunidad de una nueva vida.

One day, he meets a witcher, a huge man with powers who makes money killing monsters, there he sees an opportunity to get out of poverty, he sees the opportunity for a new life.

Últimamente estoy consumiendo más material animado, siento que me entretiene un poco más por los colores y la animación, así que decidí verme esta película que tenia en mi lista de Netflix. The Witcher: La pesadilla del lobo esta conectada con la serie live action de la franquicia, contando el pasado del mentor de Gerard, no soy fanático de toda la saga por no haberme leído los libros ni jugado los videojuegos, así que esta es más mi opinión como espectador frecuente.
La historia nos da más detalles de como se hacen los Brujos, lo que en la serie Live action nos daba a entender que ellos eran mutantes, personas a quienes se les hicieron cambios genéticos, aquí podemos ver de que se trata esos cambios, desde varios ángulos y viendo caer a varias personas. Nos muestran una historia sin empatía, llena de odio y rencor a todo aquello que es diferente, por parte de la mayoría, causando una represión a las minorías de su mundo.
La animación resplandece por ser americana, los cuerpos de los personajes, los colores, no puedo recordar donde he visto antes todo eso pero estoy seguro de haberlo visto en más de una ocasión, no llegue a ver los créditos pero considero que deberían contratar animadores de otras partes del mundo para dar un cambio a la animación americana, aunque la película se puede centrar más en la historia que en su animación, seria bueno ver como franquicias de cine intenten otras cosas al nivel de animación, pocas son las entregas que nos dan con una animación diferente a la típica americana.
Del resto, me gusto la historia, las escenas de peleas y como esta unido a la serie, aunque para algunos pudo ser obvio que estaba unido como dije antes no soy fanático de los videojuegos o de los libros; más que nada por no poder tenerlos, así que para mi, como muchos otros que empezaron con la serie, fue una sorpresa. La película dura una hora y media, esta disponible en Netflix, así que si quieres ver criaturas místicas, poderes mágicos, problemas sociales y personas desmembradas, te invito a verla.
Lately I am consuming more animated material, I feel that it entertains me a little more because of the colors and the animation, so I decided to watch this movie that I had on my Netflix list. The Witcher: The nightmare of the wolf is connected to the live action series of the franchise, telling the past of Gerard's mentor, I am not a fan of the whole saga for not having read the books or played the video games, so this is more my opinion as a frequent viewer.
The story gives us more details about how Witchers are made, which in the Live action series gave us to understand that they were mutants, people who underwent genetic changes, here we can see what those changes are about, from several angles and watching several people fall. They show us a story without empathy, full of hatred and resentment for everything that is different, on the part of the majority, causing a repression to the minorities of their world.
The animation shines for being American, the bodies of the characters, the colors, I can't remember where I've seen all of that before but I'm sure I've seen it on more than one occasion, I didn't get to see the credits but I think they should hire animators from other parts of the world to give a change to American animation, although the film may focus more on the story than on its animation, it would be good to see how film franchises try other things at the animation level, few are the deliveries that give us with an animation different from the typical American one.
Of the rest, I liked the story, the fight scenes and how it is linked to the series, although for some it might be obvious that it was linked as I said before. I am not a fan of video games or books; more than anything for not being able to have them, so for me, like many others who started with the series, it was a surprise. The film lasts an hour and a half, it is available on Netflix, so if you want to see mystical creatures, magical powers, social problems and dismembered people, I invite you to see it.

La verdad no he visto la serie, aunque me llama muchísimo el estilo de animación… se ve realmente hermosa.
