Welcome my fellow travelers of the internet lovers of fairy tales and many thanks for making a temporary stop in my post, the other day I was looking for something to watch, and I stumbled upon a film curious called "The School for Good and Evil" which I thought was interesting and to not have nothing better to do I started to see it. Without more to add, prepare to enter a school that will define whether we will be good or bad.
Bienvenidos mis queridos viajeros del internet amantes de los cuentos de hadas y muchas gracias por hacer una parada temporal en mi post, el otro día me encontraba buscando algo para ver y me topé con un filme curioso llamado "The School for Good and Evil" la cual me pareció interesante y al no tener nada mejor que ver me dispuse a verla. Sin más que agregar prepárense para entrar a una escuela que definirá si seremos buenos o malos.
The School for Good and Evil was released in 2022, is based on the novel of the same name written by Soman Chainani, the film was directed by Paul Feig and produced by Netflix, has a duration of 2 hours and 31 minutes. It is a story of fantasy, drama, focuses on the life of a pair of best friends Sophie and Agatha whom live in a village deplorable in which people only have aspirations mediocre, to live in this town makes one of the girls want to have a future that is more remarkable, unbeknownst to her future becomes more interesting when the pair of friends are abducted and taken to a school where they train future heroes and villains from the various stories and wonderful site in which girls will be assigned to a school and must face all the problems that this entails.
The School for Good and Evil fue estrenada en 2022, se encuentra basada en la novela homónima escrita por Soman Chainani, la cinta fue dirigida por Paul Feig y producida por Netflix, cuenta con una duración de 2 horas y 31 minutos. Es una historia de fantasía dramática, se enfoca la vida de un par de mejores amigas Sophie y Agatha las cuales viven en un pueblo deplorable en el cual la gente solo tiene aspiraciones mediocres, el vivir en este pueblo hace que una de las chicas quiera tener un futuro más destacable, sin saberlo su porvenir se hace más interesante cuando el par de amigas son secuestradas y llevadas a una escuela en donde se entrenan a los futuros héroes y villanos de las diferentes historias fantásticas y sitio en el que las chicas serán asignadas a una de las escuelas debiendo afrontar todas las problemáticas que esto conlleva.

La banda sonora es agradable, encuentra un buen lugar dentro de la trama para tener un papel protagónico y sentirse muy acordé debido a que se emplea en las situaciones correctas para en conjunto con lo que se muestra en pantalla generar un sentimiento muy excelente, es por ello que toda la música empleada es muy agradable.

El único personaje que puedo decir que se siente medianamente plausible es Agatha siendo la única que tiene 2 dedos de frente como para cuestionar todas las cosas horribles que pasan dentro de la escuela, al igual que su frustración al encontrarse rodeada de inútiles descerebrados, no llega al punto de sentirse tridimensional pero si de tener una caracterización agradable que permite simpatizar con ella, una muy buena coprotagonista. No puedo decir nada bueno de Sophie al solo reducirse a ser un elemento para hacer avanzar la trama, lo más penoso que puede ser un personaje y confirmando paulatinamente que es todas las cosas horribles que se supone que no intenta demostrar que no es, siendo incluso un insulto que el filme intente tapar lo desagradable que es.

The School for Good and Evil termina siendo un caso triste en el que las pocas cosas buenas que hace son eclipsadas en su totalidad por las malas, el hecho de que solo haya un personaje destacable es lamentable y que su villano sea totalmente patético no ayuda en nada. Es por ello que merece 2 estrellas de 7, es una pena que caiga en los mismos clichés de los que se burla y que un personaje con potencial sea desperdiciado de forma tan nefasta.
