Today I had to review the animations of Tom and Jarry. The film is an interesting time machine because watching this production I felt like I went back to 1995.
The film is a combination of computer technology where all the cartoon characters were generated with the feature film.
And to be honest, the quality of the generated characters stopped somewhere around the 90s, they are not very nice or very well made, but at least they look like characters from your favorite cartoon.
The film is quite chaotic and while watching it I was wondering where the moral is and how much wrong you have to do to make it generally good.
As for the moral, it is very shallow and very chaotic for most of the filming time.
The film tells how Tom and Jarry go to New York, Jerey is looking for a consummate house to live elegantly, and Tom is looking for a way to raise funds for a new house and a piano.
A certain twist of events causes that the young girl loses her job because of Tom and this is where the strangest twist appears because this young girl goes to the hotel and takes the CV of the woman who applied for the job and signs it herself that it is hers and gets a job as a younger assistant because the biggest event is to take place in the hotel soon, because two terribly rich people are to get married in this hotel.
The humor is good a lot of gags are from cartoons from 60's or even earlier.
Chloë Moretz tries to make her role insane, but at the same time with a sense of duty. The film is generally for children, although the language is rather aimed at young people.
As for the plot, it is schematic, as in typical comedy films, it will give the whole family, but there is nothing revealing about it. There are verbal jokes that can amuse, but there are definitely too few of them.
Tom and Jerry's chases are well done, although the violence is typically cartoonish.

Striving for the finale is quite a strange experience because the last 30 minutes of the film seem to be glued on to create these one and a half hours of productions.
The finale itself is predictable, although properly executed, and finally the moral is that it is worth cooperating, although the viewer is told throughout the majority of the film that evil is ok and often you have to walk on the lowest resistance line like the main character.
Nevertheless, it is a film made in such a way that children will enjoy watching their favorite characters connected with the real world, and at the same time a youth actress who receives better and better roles.
It's hard to rate this film high because I expected kitsch and I got an average comedy, which is schematic, although well played with two nice animals and a lot of references to pop culture, including the Joker from 2019 and Hannibal Lecter.
My rating is 6/10.
