Ahhh octubre, finalmente hemos entrado en el último y a mi parecer mejor trimestre del año, y justo en este mes todos nos emocionamos por Halloween y sacamos nuestro lado spooky apenas iniciado el mes, pero también hay otra cosa que recordar en este mes además de Halloween, al menos para nosotros los Otakus, Un día como hoy 3 de octubre, los hermanos Elrick del anime Fullmetal Alchemist hicieron una promesa, una promesa en la que decidirían que cueste lo que cueste, ellos recuperarían sus cuerpos y vivirían una vida normal después de eso, pero para ello deben encontrar la piedra filosofal y en un inesperado giro de eventos (Spoiler Alert) terminaran descubriendo la corrupción de su sistema de gobierno y enfrentándose a… ¿Dios?
En esta oportunidad haré una review de la trilogía live-action inspirada en el manga de Fullmetal Alchemist y las comparare con sus antecesoras adaptaciones al anime, tratare de dar la menor cantidad de spoilers posibles, pero al ser una review comparativa está un poco difícil, así que cada vez que venga un spoiler colocare un aviso.

Como ya he mencionado anteriormente la historia está basada en el manga de FullMetal Alchemist, historia centrada la alquimia y transmutación de la materia, nuestro protagonistas son dos chicos alquimistas muy talentosos, Edwuard y Alphonse Elrick, quienes como en todo buen shonen quedan huérfanos (Al igual que casi todos los personajes que aparecen) esto debido a una extraña enfermedad que sufría su madre la cual acabo con su vida estando ellos muy pequeños, su padre se había marchado hace mucho tiempo y al perder también a su madre la soledad los envolvió. Un día los hermanos tienen la idea de que como la alquimia puede hacer grandes cosas, quizás también pueda devolverles a su madre, es así como siendo unos niños investigan y se meten en uno de los campos prohibidos de la alquimia, la transmutación humana.
Tenían todo lo necesario, los materiales que componen el cuerpo humano en sus medidas exactas, el círculo de transmutación y finalmente añadieron información del alma colocando unas gotas de su sangre, todo parecía ir muy bien, pero por algo la transmutación humana estaba prohibida, el precio a pagar era demasiado alto, Edwuard perdió una pierna y un brazo, pero el que la tuvo peor fue Alphonse, quien había perdido todo su cuerpo y su alma quedó atada a una armadura (Se explica mejor en las series y peliculas) ahora los hermanos Elrick harán todo lo posible por conseguir el único objeto que podría devolverles lo que han perdido, La piedra Filosofal.

HOW IS THE STORY HANDLED IN THE LIVE ACTION?

The truth is that the story is handled very well, you just can not put everything that happens in 64 chapters of anime in a 3 movies of 2 hours, something that made me a lot of noise is that they changed the chronology of certain events, ie important events of the plot occur much earlier or much later, even has actions of some characters that did not make them did them in the original canon but another, there are also characters that in the canon maintain certain importance throughout the plot but here they are added very late, I understand that being a movie that did not know if it could have sequels did not give so much importance to some characters, but they could at least appear as extras so that we all know that they were always there and did not appear out of nowhere.
La verdad es que la historia se maneja muy bien, solo que no puedes colocar todo lo que sucede en 64 capítulos de anime en una 3 películas de 2 horas, algo que si me hizo mucho ruido es que cambiaron la cronología de ciertos eventos, es decir eventos importantes de la trama ocurren muy antes o muy después, incluso ha acciones de algunos personajes que no hacían las hacían ellos en el canon original sino otro, también hay personajes que en el canon mantienen cierta importancia durante toda la trama pero aquí son añadidos muy tarde, comprendo que al ser una película que no sabía si podría tener secuelas no le dieran tanta importancia a algunos personajes, pero podían al menos aparecer como extras para que todos supiéramos que siempre estuvieron ahí y no aparecieron de la nada.

Entre muchas otras cosas que si te has visto el anime de Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood hacen que le des pausa a la peli para cuestionarte o dudar de muchas cosas.

En este punto no me puedo quejar, hicieron un gran esfuerzo porque todo fuese idéntico al anime y no me refiero solo al cast, sino también a los escenarios, los cuales están muy bien cuidados y elaborados, el único personaje que no se parece mucho a su versión original es Winry, pero la actriz se encargó de actuar tan bien el papel que la ame como a la Winry del anime, y eso es otro punto destacable, cada personaje se metió en su papel de una forma impresionante, fue muy difícil para mí ver a los actores y no ver a los personajes originales traídos a la vida. La verdad es que las películas me gustaron, la que menos me gustó fue la primera, pero bueno, ahí parecían estar probando el terreno por así decirlo, algo que me pareció curioso es que las 2 últimas películas salieron este mismo año y eso fue para conmemorar los 20 años que tiene el manga en cuestión.

Mmmm, nope, no me convence, yo amo las dos versiones de FMA y lo que cuentas de esta la verdad no me parece nada llamativo, eso de que Lust se muere antes de tiempo me suena a que cambiaron su muerte, y esa es una de las mejores cosas de FMA! (Mustang ❤️) y el que no exista Elysia, pues bueno, eso fue el dealbreaker para mí, así que creo que pasaré de ver estas películas 😅
No, a lujuria si la mata Mustang a fuerza de chasquidos incendiarios, varios momentos si los dejaron, incluso cuando Mustang le dice a cicatriz "Crees poder derrotar al alquimista de fuego" y cuando cicatriz ataca Mustang chasquea y no pasa nada entonces Hawkeye le dice que es un inútil bajo la lluvia 😆 el unico momento que no colocaron y que en verdad quería ver era este
