El escritor Arthur Conan Doyle, nacido el 22 de mayo de 1859 en Edimburgo, nos dejó con uno de los personajes más conocidos y brillantes de la historia. Este es, por supuesto, el querido detective Sherlock Holmes.
Para crear a este curioso personaje el escritor se basó en un profesor que conoció en sus años de carrera universitaria, esto es porque el hombre tenía una gran habilidad para el razonamiento deductivo. Asimismo son memorables los personajes que conviven a su lado, como lo son su amigo, el veterano de guerra John Watson y su eterno enemigo el profesor Jim Moriarty.
Gracias a estos relatos Conan Doyle no solo alcanzó la fama mundial y sustento para dedicarse de lleno a la escritura, sino que revolucionó y puso en alza el género de la novela policíaca. No es de extrañar, entonces, que el famoso detective haya sido llevado varias veces y a lo largo de los años a la pantalla grande del cine y la televisión.
Fue en una de estas series de televisión cuando conocí a Sherlock Holmes, interpretado por un actor que hizo que le cogiera cariño tanto a él como al personaje, impulsándome a pasear por una obra que luego me tenía la cara enganchada a la pantalla, deseando saber más y más de los acontecimientos que sucedían en la historia. Fue gracias a esta serie que encaminé mis pasos hasta los libros de Conan Doyle y es precisamente de ella entre todas de las que quiero hablarles.
✨Acerca de la serie✨
Sherlock Holmes es una serie de televisión británica realizada por la BBC que dio inicio en el año 2010. En total se grabaron 4 temporadas, cada una de ellas filmadas en los años 2010, 2012, 2014 y 2017 y un especial de navidad en el 2016. Aunque en una entrevista se reveló que la cuarta temporada no pretendía ser la última, hasta el día de hoy no se tienen noticias de la posible quinta. Es algo que se quedó en el aire y que, de pretender realizarse, sería algo complejo de llevar a cabo ya que coordinar los horarios del elenco para que trabajen juntos nuevamente es algo casi imposible.
La serie fue escrita por Steven Moffat y Mark Gatiss y coproducida por Hartswood Films y WGBH. El rodaje tuvo lugar entre varios lugares, entre ellos, Londres y Cardiff y contó con el siguiente elenco actoral:

Argumento 🕵️
La historia está ubicada en el siglo XXI y da inicio no con el personaje que le da su nombre sino con el veterano de Guerra Jhon Watson, que además es médico. Este hombre conoce a un excéntrico y extraño personaje, que no es nada más que Sherlock Holmes. Al final acaban viviendo juntos en el 221B de Baker Street y es aquí cuando inician sus aventuras y por supuesto, su amistad.
Sherlock tiene excelentes habilidades de deducción que lo hacen ser un detective eficiente que utiliza sus propios métodos y se salta algunas normas, es inteligente, engreído, desconsiderado y con un distanciamiento emocional que lo hace ser mejor en su trabajo, aunque así como nos muestran a una persona casi que sin sentimientos, con el paso de los capítulos podemos ver que pasa por muchos estados de ánimo y que incluso llega a ser alguien vulnerable con un pasado que tiene que descubrir.
La historia de estos dos consiste en investigar y resolver crímenes, al principio productos de diferentes autores. No obstante luego Sherlock se topa con un rival que le sigue los pasos y está ensañado con él. Es increíble ver el desenlace de dos mentes maestras enfrentándose.
😍 Mi apreciación 😍
Esta es una serie a la que le tengo bastante cariño, como dije antes, este Sherlock Holmes me gusta muchísimo, tanto el personaje como el actor que le dio vida. Si bien es un tanto extraño, inteligente, parece ser egoísta y sin sentimientos, con una gama de desperfectos y defectos, eso es lo que a mi parecer lo hace especial y llamativo. Es de esos personajes que si raspas un poco más allá, puedes descubrir que tienen corazón y razones para ser como son, un futuro complejo y enmarañado en el cual el pasado tiene mucho que ver.
La trama es interesante, llena de mucha intriga, con capítulos que son adictivos y envolventes. Los personajes están bien elaborados al igual que los diálogos y ni se diga de los actores que le dieron vida, hicieron un gran trabajo de interpretación. Uno logra entretenerse con los casos, asombrarse con los métodos y las deducciones de Holmes y conectarse con los personajes y sus emociones.
Para mí es una serie que tiene de todo un poco, nos hace divertirnos, preocuparnos, entretenernos y a veces incluso llorar, tanto por la montaña rusa de emociones o porque simplemente no quieres que se acabe. Es una historia de misterios, intriga, amor, amistad, todo. Son de esas que se quedan en tu corazón.
Por lo tanto, sí, la recomiendo un montón. ❤️

Argument 🕵️
The story is set in the 21st century and begins not with the character that gives it its name but with the war veteran John Watson, who is also a doctor. This man meets an eccentric and strange character, who is none other than Sherlock Holmes. They eventually end up living together at 221B Baker Street and it is here that they begin their adventures and of course, their friendship.
Sherlock has excellent deduction skills that make him an efficient detective who uses his own methods and skips some rules, he is intelligent, cocky, inconsiderate and with an emotional detachment that makes him better at his job, although just as we are shown a person almost without feelings, as the chapters go by we can see that he goes through many moods and that he even becomes someone vulnerable with a past that he has to discover.
The story of these two consists of investigating and solving crimes, at first products of different authors. However, Sherlock later encounters a rival who is on his trail and is out to get him. It is incredible to see the outcome of two masterminds confronting each other.
😍My appreciation😍
This is a series that I am quite fond of, as I said before, I really like this Sherlock Holmes, both the character and the actor who brought him to life. Although it is somewhat strange, intelligent, seems to be selfish and unfeeling, with a range of flaws and defects, that's what in my opinion makes it special and striking. He is one of those characters that if you scratch a little further, you can discover that they have heart and reasons for being the way they are, a complex and tangled future in which the past has a lot to do with.
The plot is interesting, filled with a lot of intrigue, with chapters that are addictive and involving. The characters are well elaborated as well as the dialogues and not to mention the actors who gave life to them, they did a great job of interpretation. One manages to be entertained by the cases, amazed by Holmes' methods and deductions and to connect with the characters and their emotions.
For me it is a series that has a little bit of everything, it makes us have fun, worry, be entertained and sometimes even cry, either because of the roller coaster of emotions or because you just don't want it to end. It's a story of mystery, intrigue, love, friendship, everything. They are the kind that stay in your heart.
So, yes, I recommend it a lot. ❤️
