¡Bienvenidos amigos cinéfilos! Me siento bastante entusiasmada de realizar este post pues este es uno de mis géneros favoritos del cine. Las películas que nos retratan un escenario apocalíptico siempre han llamado mi atención y de alguna u otra forma se me hacen muy interesantes, siendo este mi género favorito tengo muchas de las cuales hablar, a continuación te menciono alguna de ellas:

Movies that portray an apocalyptic scenario have always caught my attention and in some way or another are very interesting to me, being this my favorite genre I have many to talk about, below I mention some of them:

El cine apocalíptico es un género que se caracteriza porque en su trama la temática es la destrucción de la humanidad. En este tipo de cine se narra un evento, producido o no por el hombre, que conduce a su destrucción total o parcial. Las causas del apocalipsis pueden ser múltiples: un virus o plaga diseñada en un laboratorio, una guerra nuclear que termina con el mundo devastado, la intervención del hombre que produce cambios climáticos destructivos, o algo fuera de control como un meteoro, un terremoto o una invasión extraterrestre.
Apocalyptic cinema is a genre characterized by the destruction of mankind. This type of cinema narrates an event, produced or not by man, which leads to his total or partial destruction. The causes of the apocalypse can be multiple: a virus or plague designed in a laboratory, a nuclear war that ends with the world devastated, man's intervention that produces destructive climate changes, or something out of control such as a meteor, an earthquake or an extraterrestrial invasion.
El género post-apocalíptico nos sitúa en otro escenario: narra una historia luego de que las terribles circunstancias tuvieron lugar y cómo la humanidad intenta salir adelante de esa situación.
The post-apocalyptic genre places us in another scenario: it tells a story after the terrible circumstances took place and how mankind tries to get out of that situation.

#1: A quiet place (2018)
John Krasinski y Emily Blunt son los protagonistas principales de este proyecto representando un matrimonio en compañía de sus niños, sobreviviendo a un escenario post-apocalíptico bastante peculiar dónde el más mínimo ruido puede causar un muerte atroz.
Esta película realmente me impactó por muchas razones, la primera es la actuación de Emily Blunt que tal como en la película me dejó sin palabras, mostrando todos los rasgos de una mujer, madre y esposa sosteniendo el balance en su familia. Fue impecable su interpretación.
Lo más curioso de toda esta entrega es el hecho de que no es hasta ciertas escenas en las que llegamos a tener dialogo hablado entre los personajes, la tensión que se siente ante el más mínimo ruido y/o sonido te mantiene alerta hasta de tu propia respiración, el hecho de plantear este escenario es realmente refrescante, porque lograron hacer una película sin dialogo sumamente interesante.
John Krasinski and Emily Blunt are the main protagonists of this project representing a married couple with their kids, surviving a post-apocalyptic scenario quite peculiar where the slightest noise can cause an atrocious death.
This movie really impacted me for many reasons, the first one is Emily Blunt's performance that just like in the movie left me speechless, showing all the traits of a woman, mother and wife holding the balance in her family. Her performance was impeccable.
The most curious of all this installment is the fact that it is not until certain scenes in which we get to have spoken dialogue between the characters, the tension that is felt at the slightest noise and / or sound keeps you alert to your own breathing, the fact of raising this scenario is really refreshing, because they managed to make a film without dialogue extremely interesting.
#2: Zombieland (2009)
Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson y Abigail Breslin nos traen la graciosa historia de zombies, estos cuatro característicos personajes se unen por cosas del destino y de supervivencia en una aventura que los lleva a luchar no sólo contra los zombies, sino contra ellos.
Esta película es una de mis favoritas de Zombies, quizás sea por los actores, por el excelente guion, por todas las escenas que me hicieron reír a carcajadas o quizás todas en conjunto. Sin duda alguna acá nos presentan un mundo post-apocalíptico bastante particular, dónde no sólo quieren sobrevivir, sino también encontrar un sabor especifico de golosinas porque pueden que sean los últimos en el mundo.
Emma Stone, Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson and Abigail Breslin bring us the funny story of zombies, these four characteristic characters come together by fate and survival in an adventure that leads them to fight not only against zombies, but against them.
This movie is one of my favorite Zombie movies, maybe it's because of the actors, the excellent script, all the scenes that made me laugh out loud or maybe all of them together. Without a doubt here we are presented with a very particular post-apocalyptic world, where they not only want to survive, but also to find a specific flavor of candy because they may be the last ones in the world.
#3: I am Legend (2007)
Will Smith interpreta al único sobreviviente de una plaga que fue creada por el mismo hombre que transforma a los humanos en mutantes. Se mantiene luchando e investigando para encontrar una cura además, de tratar de encontrar otros sobrevivientes.
Will Smith conmoviendo nuestros corazones desde los años 90. Con esta película quién no haya llorado probablemente no tenga corazón, esta película toca una fibra de cualquiera que es lo dolorosa que puede llegar a ser la soledad, salvo por una hermosa compañía de 4 patas.
Esta película no se profundiza al espectador en el por qué del virus más allá de un breve explicación, y a pesar de parecer ser este el tema principal, nos damos cuenta que es más sobre el protagonista y sus sentimientos. Es una película con una calidad de guion, dirección y por supuesto un actuación impecable por parte del galardonado Will Smith.
Will Smith plays the sole survivor of a plague that was created by the same man who transforms humans into mutants. He keeps fighting and researching to find a cure as well as trying to find other survivors.
Will Smith touching our hearts since the 90s. With this movie who hasn't cried probably doesn't have a heart, this movie strikes a chord in anyone which is how painful loneliness can be, except for a beautiful 4 legged companion.
This film does not delve deeper into the why of the virus beyond a brief explanation, and although this seems to be the main theme, we realize that it is more about the protagonist and his feelings. It is a film with a quality script, direction and of course an impeccable performance by the award winning Will Smith.
#4: The Happening (2007)
Mark Whalberg y Zooey Deschanel, nos traen una historia que da inicio en las grandes ciudades, dónde una ola de extraños suicidios empiezan a suceder en masas, este extraño comportamiento no logra ser investigado debido a que no se sabe dónde ni cómo estar seguros.
El motivo por el que me encanta esta película es debido al concepto tan complejo que puede llegar a desencadenar, siempre trato de reflejar lo que se ve en este tipo de entregas a una situación en la que realmente suceda en la vida real, y si algo de esta película llega a suceder en la vida real, de verdad quizás signifique el fin del mundo.
Por parte de la continuación de la película llega a ser un poco tediosa, sin embargo la duda y curiosidad que te crea por querer saber lo que de verdad sucede logra superar las fallas que puedan haber en otros aspectos. Considero que se pudo haber sacado más provecho agregando un poco más de acción quizás involucrar un poco más la historia de los protagonistas, a mi parecer se veía un poco apresurada por terminar, pero con todo y esto logra ser una de mis películas favoritas.

The reason why I love this movie is because of the complex concept it can trigger, I always try to reflect what you see in this kind of releases to a situation where it actually happens in real life, and if something from this movie happens in real life, it might really mean the end of the world.
On the part of the continuation of the movie it becomes a bit tedious, however the doubt and curiosity that it creates in you for wanting to know what really happens manages to overcome the flaws that may have in other aspects. I think that more could have been made of it by adding a little more action, perhaps involving a little more the story of the protagonists, in my opinion it seemed a little rushed to finish, but with all this it manages to be one of my favorite movies.
#5: Birdbox (2018)
Una mujer llamada Malorie y dos niños navegan río abajo con los ojos vendados para llegar a un refugio, después de que unas fuerzas extrañas invadieran, y se encuentren provocando suicidios masivos alrededor del mundo, generando caos y disminuyendo la población. Link.
La razón por la que tuve que buscar directamente la sinopsis de esta película es por su complejidad, Netflix no nos ha dejado de sorprender desde hace ya un par de años, y esta película que fue tan aclamada y criticada por el público no es una excepción.
Teniendo en cuenta que tenemos a Sandra Bullock como protagonista de este proyecto podemos decir desde un inicio que actuación de calidad no le va a faltar, pero tenemos otros factores sorpresa y no es nada más y nada menos que su trama y su desenlace hasta el final del filme. Y es que no sólo hablamos del por qué las personas actúan como actúan, sino todo lo que puede llegar a significar su forma de comportarse, o aquel supuesto virus.
Esta película me llevo a lugares increíbles, admirando la actuación impecable de cada uno de los integrantes y también la fotografía y la ambientación de cada una de las escenas, considerando que se manejó un recurso atrayente como lo es el interés amoroso y el amor de madre, va mucho más allá y puedo hablar por más de una persona que quiere hoy en día ver un poco más sobre este mundo.

The reason I had to look directly for the synopsis of this movie is because of its complexity, Netflix has not stopped surprising us for a couple of years now, and this movie that was so acclaimed and criticized by the public is no exception.
Taking into account that we have Sandra Bullock as the protagonist of this project we can say from the beginning that she will not lack quality acting, but we have other surprise factors and it is nothing more and nothing less than its plot and its outcome until the end of the film. And we are not only talking about why people act the way they act, but everything that their way of behaving can mean, or that supposed virus.
This film took me to incredible places, admiring the impeccable acting of each of the members and also the photography and the setting of each of the scenes, considering that it handled an appealing resource such as love interest and mother's love, it goes much further and I can speak for more than one person who wants to see a little more about this world today.

Estoy esperando conseguir una buena copia de A Quit Place 2. Una buena selección de pelis post apocalipticas. Cada vez que veo una película de estas , me hago la pregunta de lo desagradable que deben oler si todo fuese real. Un mundo todo destruido, sin agua, cosas de aseo personal, .... oh espera... pero si eso parece Venezuela. Ya el Venezolano esta entrenado para un mundo post apocaliptico.
Yo también estoy esperando conseguir la segunda parte de A Quiet Place😅. La misma pregunta me hacía cuando veía The Walking Dead. Venezuela es un programa de preparación para cualquier desastre natural, pero también el peor escenario para que se de uno
I liked all of these except for The Happening. While the initial premise was pretty fantastic and the imagery of all those construction workers jumping off the buildings was pretty intense, the reasons behind why it was all happening wasn't just far fetched, it was stupid.
A quiet place was really inventive but had a lot of plot holes. Still, I can't imagine watching that in the theater, that must have been intense.
I had the same problem with The Happening and with A Quiet Place, it lacked more depth in the developed story, because I really consider that it could have been done a very complete work incorporating this important factor, it is what happens many times with movies that try to leave you intrigues in some points, not only they leave intrigue, they also leave holes that can end up disenchanting you from the whole project.
Specifically with A Quiet Place a lot of questions came up such as
Still a good movie though and I thoroughly enjoyed it, despite the plot holes.
