Hola mis amigos, espero que estén muy bien, hoy vengo para hablarles acerca de una miniserie: Candy, esta basada en hechos reales, y, literalmente me ha dejado la sangre fría, me llamó la atención porque se trataba de un hecho que pasó hace muchos años atrás, una historia acerca de engaños, trastornos y un terrible asesinato.

Esta miniserie, nos relata como sucedieron los hechos de un terrible asesinato en 1980, en Texas, primero, nos muestran a varias familias que llevan una vida un tanto monótona, mujeres encargadas de su casa, esposo e hijos, entre estas familias se encuentra la de Candy, quien está casada con Pat Montgomery(Timothy Simons), ambos tienen 2 hijos, y esta la familia de Betty Gore, quien está casada con Alan Gore (Pablo Schreiber), tienen una hija, y una bebé, familias totalmente distintas a simple vista, Candy es una mujer segura, casi la mujer maravilla y perfecta, y Betty es todo lo contrario, es todo un desastre de emociones, completamente insegura de si misma.

Candy a pesar de su vida casi perfecta, esta pasando por una etapa de inconformidad en su vida matrimonial, y quiere experimentar otras cosas, como por ejemplo, tener una relacion extramarital con uno de sus vecinos, y esposo de Betty, Candy y Betty empiezan a relacionarse en la clase de danza de sus hijas, a pesar de vivir en el mismo vecindario y asistir a la misma iglesia, no tenían contacto, de la noche a la mañana se hacen amigas y también comparten al mismo hombre.
Candy, despite her almost perfect life, is going through a stage of nonconformity in her married life, and wants to experience other things, such as having an extramarital relationship with one of her neighbors, and Betty's husband, Candy and Betty start to interact in their daughters' dance class, despite living in the same neighborhood and attending the same church, they had no contact, they became friends overnight and also shared the same man.
A pesar de la situación, Candy se torna muy amable con Betty, y continua su pequeña aventura, pero un día Alan termina la relación con Candy, y decide recuperar su matrimonio, al parecer esto no le causó ninguna gracia a Candy, y un día, Candy y Betty tienen una discusión, y se desata una tragedia, un horrible asesinato, y un final completamente de locura.
Mi opinión
Esta trágica historia en particular, me conmovió, parece mentira que existan personas con tanto cinismo y maldad, que aún teniéndolo todo, quieren más y más, pienso que la miniserie, esta bien desarrollada, son 5 episodios, que fácilmente puedes verlos en un solo día, los actores hacen un gran trabajo, Jessica Biel, y Melanie Lynskey se lucen con sus actuaciones, y aunque los primeros dos capítulos, son lentos, igual te engancha el solo hecho de esperar ver como ocurrieron estos hechos tan fatales, como actúa esta mujer sin ningún tipo de culpa por todo el mal que causo en aquel momento, un crimen espantoso, el quiebre de dos hogares, y pienso que todo ocurre por la inconformidad y el aburrimiento de una mujer con su vida, otra cosa espantosa para mi, el final de esta historia. Se las recomiendo, espero que puedan verla y si ya la han visto, me cuentan en los comentarios que tal les ha parecido.
This tragic story in particular moved me, it seems unbelievable that there are people with so much cynicism and evil, that even having everything, they want more and more, I think that the miniseries is well developed, there are 5 episodes, that you can easily see them in a single day, the actors do a great job, Jessica Biel, and Melanie Lynskey shine with their performances, and although the first two chapters are quite slow, the mere fact of waiting for how these fatal events occurred, how this one acts still hooks you woman without any kind of guilt for all the evil that she caused at that moment, a horrible crime, the breakdown of two homes, and I think that everything happens because of a woman's discontent and boredom with her life, another terrible thing for me, the end of this story, I recommend it, I hope you can see it and if you have already seen it, tell me in the comments what you think.

I really liked this mini series, I would have liked it more if it went deeper into the trial, I think it lacked to go deeper into the complexity of the trial. Jessica Biel is fabulous in the character of Candy. This crime of passion in a conservative community is amazing. I already did my review some time ago. Hulu has done some excellent productions based on true events. I recommend the miniseries Pam & Tommy.
