El reto de esta semana se centra en presentar una película que refleje nuestras raíces y Venezuela no tiene una variedad demasiado extensa para escoger, así que hoy les quiero presentar "Hermano", una película dirigida por Marcel Rasquin.
This week's challenge is focused on presenting a film that reflects our roots and Venezuela does not have a too wide variety to choose from, so today I want to present "Brother", a film directed by Marcel Rasquin.
Esta película trata sobre dos hermanos de crianza Gato (Daniel) y Julio, ambos jugadores muy talentosos de fútbol, que tienen ante su una oportunidad única de poder llegar a ser jugadores profesionales con el Caracas FC.
Julio, el mayor, ayuda a mantener la familia con dinero "sucio" y Daniel, el menor, más centrado en lo que quiere, ayuda a su hermano a salir de ese mundo, pero la muerte de su madre por una bala perdida, hace que sus caminos se separen aún más en busca de lo que desean para su vida.
This film is about two aging brothers Gato (Daniel) and Julio, both very talented soccer players, who have before them a unique opportunity to become professional players with Caracas FC.
Julio, the eldest, helps support the family with "dirty" money and Daniel, the youngest, more focused on what he wants, helps his brother to get out of that world, but the death of his mother by a stray bullet makes May their ways be further separated in search of what they desire for their life.

Película con una temática fuerte que expone las vivencias de muchos venezolanos que están todos los días en la calle, enfrentándose a la delincuencia, criminales, pobreza extrema, entre otras cosas, y que expone la oportunidad de dos hermanos para tratar de salir de esa situación mediante el deporte, en este caso el fútbol.
Film with a strong theme that exposes the experiences of many Venezuelans who are on the street every day, facing crime, criminals, extreme poverty, among other things, and that exposes the opportunity for two brothers to try to get out of that situation through sport, in this case soccer.
Como vamos viendo en el pasar de la película, "el dinero fácil" que ofrecen en las calles y la sed de venganza pueden separar una familia, más después de una tragedia familiar, pero ese mismo amor entre hermanos demuestra ser suficiente para alejar a Julio de esa vida, aunque no será "gratis".
As we see in the passing of the film, "the easy money" that they offer in the streets and the thirst for revenge can separate a family, more after a family tragedy, but that same love between brothers proves to be enough to drive Julio away. of that life, although it will not be "free".
Vemos también otras realidades de la sociedad venezolana, donde además de la pobreza y la violencia que se vive día a día, vemos que aún hay gente muy buena y talentosa, y por sobre todas las cosas, la imagen de la madre venezolana, el pilar fundamental en el que se afinca todo, y que aún así estando solas, son guerreras y sacan a sus "chamitos" adelante.
We also see other realities of Venezuelan society, where in addition to the poverty and violence that is experienced day by day, we see that there are still very good and talented people, and above all, the image of the Venezuelan mother, the pillar fundamental in which everything is settled, and that even when they are alone, they are warriors and they take their sons forward.
