The film has a little bit of everything, at times it is a comedy, at others a musical, but in the end I found it deeply dramatic.
ll the weight of the plot rests on a single character, Carlos, portrayed by the director as a complex and suggestive personality. Apparently he could pass for a normal person, he has a job, friends, takes initiatives, lives independently. But on the other hand, he has been immature to face fatherhood; his wife claims that a daughter needs something more "than a father who sings her little songs", and this lack of commitment has been the cause of his marital failure. But this is something common to many people, marriage is not an easy enterprise, many fail in it. Nobody is perfect.
