This also happened in the movie of 89', I see the Joker being caricatured when he electrocuts a mafioso or when he knocks down the Batman's plane, now if we think about caricatured versions, those of Batman Forever and Batman & Robin are very exaggerated.

I think this is one of the movies that most carries the darkest (even if not so dark) atmosphere of Batman.
The biggest "problem" I see (at least in my point of view), is the cartoonish tone that Tim Burton chose to direct the characters.
