Hello friends of Hive, today I will talk about a film that is one of the masterpieces in my opinion of cinema in the last 25 years, the Green Mile. This film starred Tom Hanks as Paul Edgecomb and a top cast as Michael Clarke Duncan in the role of John Coffey; David Morse as Brutus Howell, finally Michael Jeter as Eduard Delacroix.

Esta película fue protagonizada por Tom Hanks como Paul Edgecomb y un elenco de primera como Michael Clarke Duncan en el papel de John Coffey; David Morse como Brutus Howell, por último, Michael Jeter interpretando a Eduard Delacroix.
This film is based on the literary work "The Hall of Death", written by Stephen King, and adapted to the cinema in 1999 with the name of the Green Mile, under the direction of Frank Darabont. Stephen King was inspired to write this book by the case of George Stinney Jr, a boy convicted and executed in the electric chair for a simple and simple reason: to be black.
At just 14 years old, little George Stinney became the youngest citizen in the history of the United States to be executed by electric chair, after being convicted of the murder of two white girls.
Esta película esta basada en la obra literario “El Pasillo de la Muerte”, escrita por Stephen King, y adaptada al cine 1999 con el nombre de la Milla Verde, bajo la dirección de Frank Darabont. Stephen King se inspiró para escribir este libro en el caso de George Stinney Jr, un niño condenado y ejecutado a muerte en la silla eléctrica por una simple y sencilla razón: ser de raza negra.
Con tan solo 14 años de edad, el pequeño George Stinney, se convirtió en el ciudadano más joven de la historia de los Estados Unidos en ser ejecutado mediante la silla eléctrica, luego de haber sido declarado culpable del asesinato de dos niñas de raza blanca.
Although the event itself is seen as incredible, the case becomes more horrendous and murky, when it is known decades later that the young man was found innocent of the crime.
It all began and at the same time ended in 1944, when the bodies of Mary Emma Thames and Betty June Binnicker, two girls of 8 and 11 years of age respectively, were found not only lifeless, but also brutal and bloody. Only one suspect: George, who had barely exchanged words hours before his deaths with the girls. The racism and hatred of the time allowed an innocent child to be convicted and killed for a crime that he did not commit.
Aunque el suceso de por sí se mira como increíble, el caso se torna más horrendo y turbio, cuando se sabe décadas después que el joven fue declarado inocente del crimen.
Todo comenzó y a la vez terminó en 1944, cuando los cuerpos de Mary Emma Thames y Betty June Binnicker, dos niñas de 8 y 11 años de edad respectivamente, fueron encontrados no sólo sin vida, si no de manera brutal y sangrienta. Sospechoso solo uno: George, quien había cruzado a penas palabras horas antes de sus muertes con las niñas. El racismo y el odio de la época permitieron que un niño inocente fuera condenado y asesinado por un crimen que no cometió.
The film, although inspired by these events, recounts in retrospect the life and experiences of Paul Edgecomb, a security guard on Block E or Final Mile, known as the Green Mile, in Cold Mountain Prison south of Los Angeles. United States in 1932.

There he meets Jhon Coffey, a tall and muscular African-American prisoner, accused of the rape and murder of two twins. Paul notices that Coffey is not the stereotypes of the other condemned to death and discovers that he is a special man with healing powers and that he is innocent of what they accuse him, but nothing he can do to save him from conviction. Paul receives part of his power from Coffey and despite being 104 years old, he does not age.
Allí conoce a Jhon Coffey un prisionero afroamericano, alto y musculoso, acusado de violación y asesinato de dos gemelas. Paul nota que Coffey no es los estereotipos de los otros condenados a muerte y descubre que es un hombre especial con poderes curativos y que es inocente de lo que le acusan, pero nada puede hacer para salvarlo de la condena. Paul recibe de Coffey parte de su poder y a pesar de tener 104 años no envejece.
This film despite seeming its strong rigid plot at first, then its characters put on their side, feelings of love, tenderness, occultism, terror and sarcasm. The film mixes negative and positive feelings, which we human beings share. Some lessons from this film is that we should not label people before meeting them, unfortunately many do it perhaps out of habit or because that is their belief.
Coffey teaches us that life is a mirror to see our emotions and be able to solve them, he shows us that patience and hope must be the order of the day and that each one must be the best version of himself.
Esta película a pesar de parecer su trama fuerte rígida al principio, luego sus personajes ponen de su parte, sentimiento de amor, ternura, ocultismo, terror y sarcasmo. La película se mezclan los sentimientos negativos y positivos, que compartimos los seres humanos. Unas lecciones de esta película es que no debemos etiquetar a las personas antes de conocerlas, lamentablemente muchos lo hacen tal vez por costumbre o porque así es su creencia.
Coffey nos enseña a que la vida es un espejo para ver nuestras emociones y poder solucionarlas, nos demuestra que la paciencia y la esperanza deben estar a la orden del día y que cada uno debe ser la mejor versión de sí mismo.
