I agree. I think I actually started watching this movie several times in the past but was turned off by the fact that they were speaking German. My evasion of reading subtitles has diminished over the years and I really enjoy true stories even if they had to make most of it up due to lack of real evidence.
Correct me if I am wrong but isn't near-billionaire Tom Hanks a driving force behind why we have a lot of the true war story films and series?
Yes Tom Hanks and Spielberg were researching true stories from the war. They bought a farm to film Saving Private Ryan and for filming Band of Brothers. Hanks did Greyhound a few years ago and was also rather decent about the wolf pack.
