Mis tres Dibujos Animados Favoritos.
Espero que estés teniendo un gran día, porque yo sí lo tengo. Hoy amanecí emocionado luego de ver por sexta vez una de mis caricaturas favoritas, y pensé ¿Por qué la he visto tantas veces? ¿Qué tiene la serie que, sin importar las veces que la vea no deja de gustarme? ¿Por qué no hacer un análisis sobre ella?
Luego de darle muchas vueltas al asunto me decidí a hacerlo, pero pasó lo que nunca debió suceder, empecé a ver otra serie, y luego otra, y todas tenían un gran mensaje, por lo que dudé sobre cuál elegir para hacerle un resumen o un análisis detallado. Pero como una persona razonable que soy, elegí hacer los tres.
Pero no tan rápido, primero quiero introducir estas series de forma sencilla, así que este post será simplemente una introducción simple, digamos que es una sinopsis hecha por mi según mi criterio. Quiero aclarar que todas son aptas para todo público, aunque su mensaje puede ser extrapolado a un publico adulto, debido a su inclinación a temas políticos, sociológicos y psicológicos (Y por esto me gustaron tanto).
Así que, sin más preámbulos, empecemos.
My top three Favorite Cartoons.
I hope you're having a great day, because I am. Today I woke up excited after watching for the sixth time one of my favorite cartoons, and I thought why have I seen it so many times? What is it about the series that, no matter how many times I watch it, I still love it? Why not do an analysis about it?
After giving it a lot of thought I decided, but what should never have happened happened, I started watching another series, and then another, and all of them had a great message. So I hesitated about which one to choose to give you a detailed summary. So... I'll do all three.
But not so fast, first I want to introduce these series in a simple way, so this post will be just a simple introduction, let's say it's a synopsis made by me according to my criteria. I want to clarify that all of them are suitable for all audiences, although their message can be extrapolated to an adult audience, due to their inclination to political, sociological and psychological themes (And this is why I liked them so much).
So without further ado let's get started.

Let's start with this cartoon, which I consider to be an important piece of my childhood. Avatar, an animated television series published by Nickelodeon, aired on September 23, 2005. It tells the story of a young boy named Aang and his friends, who must save the world by defeating the Fire Lord and ending the destructive war with the Fire Nation.
The story places us in a world where a part of humanity is born with the power to dominate some elements, which are Water, Earth, Fire and Air. A world divided between tribes and nations of different elements, where Fire is the element that gains more dominance in territories. This through wars and invasions, demonstrating its military power over the other nations or tribes.
Aang's job is to stop the war, and bring peace to his world. This being his job as Avatar. The Avatar are spiritual beings who upon death reincarnate in another human being following the cycle of seasons, that is to say: autumn for the Air Nomads, winter for the Water Tribe, spring for the Earth Kingdom and summer for the Fire Nation. If the previous Avatar was of the Fire Nation, this one upon death will be reborn as an inhabitant of the Air Nomads. The Avatar is capable of mastering the four elements, besides being able to master the Avatar State, a direct link with the spiritual world and with the spirit of Raava, which being fused with the Avatar allows a spiritual connection with all the past lives of the Avatar, as well as the knowledge and previous mastery of the elements, this being a powerful transformation because it mixes the power of the mastery of all the Avatar, performing perfect techniques of elemental and spiritual mastery.

Empezamos con esta caricatura, la cual considero es un trozo un importante de mi infancia. Avatar, publicada por Nickelodeon el 23 de septiembre de 2005, nos cuenta la historia de un joven niño llamado Aang y sus amigos, quienes deben salvar al mundo al derrotar al Señor del Fuego y poner fin a la guerra destructiva con la Nación del Fuego.
La historia nos sitúa en un mundo donde parte de la humanidad nace con el poder de dominar algunos elementos, los cuales son el Agua, Tierra, Fuego y Aire. Un mundo dividido entre tribus y naciones, donde el Fuego es el elemento que gana dominio en territorios por medio de guerras e invasiones, demostrando su poder militar por encima de los demás.
El trabajo de Aang es detener la guerra y traer la paz a su mundo, siendo esta su labor como Avatar. Los Avatar son seres espirituales los cuales al morir reencarnan en otro ser humano siguiendo el ciclo de estaciones (otoño de los Nómadas Aire, invierno de la Tribu Agua, primavera para el Reino Tierra y el verano para la Nación del Fuego) Si el anterior Avatar era de la Nación del Fuego, éste al morir renacerá como un nómada de aire. Los Avatar son capaces de dominar los cuatro elementos, además de poder dominar el Estado Avatar, un enlace directo con el mundo espiritual y con el espíritu de Raava, el cuál al estar fusionado con el Avatar permite una conexión espiritual con todas las vidas pasadas de los Avatar, así como el conocimiento y dominio previo de los elementos, siento esta una transformación poderosa pues mezcla el poder del dominio de todos los Avatar, realizando técnicas perfectas de dominio elemental y espiritual.
Otra de las Habilidades que posee el Avatar es la Energía Control, la cual le otorga la capacidad de controlar la energía vital de otra persona. Ya sea para otorgar poder elemental, o quitarlo. Además de otras habilidades, pero no entraremos en detalle ahora.
Cien años antes del inicio de la serie Aang, un joven de 12 años, descubre que es el Avatar, por desgracia se avecinaba una guerra y sus maestros aceleraron su entrenamiento. Siendo solo un niño y temeroso de sus nuevas y pesadas responsabilidades quiso huir, pero en medio del camino se atravesó con una tormenta, como se encontraba distraído, nervioso y con mucho sueño no logró controlar su bisonte, cayendo al agua agitada. En un instinto de supervivencia de forma inconsciente activó su modo avatar para encerrarse en una burbuja de hielo, quedando congelado hasta que dos hermanos de la tribu del Agua, en un paseo de exploración se lo encuentran. Dando inicio a nuestra historia y formando lo que autodenominan “El Equipo Avatar”.

Steven Universe is set on Earth, and puts you in the shoes of little Steven, who, along with Garnet, Amethyst and Pearl, will form the Crystal Gems, a group that defends the planet from threats of all kinds.
The gems are creatures from another planet with some interesting abilities; at first we are interested to know that they do not have a physical form (the form they take is a light that reflects their gem), and also that their gem projects a weapon with which they can fight. Steven is the only half-human gem in the universe, and perhaps that is why the little protagonist has not developed his powers.

Steven Universe se sitúa en la tierra, y te pone en los zapatos del pequeño Steven, quien, junto con Garnet, Amatista y Perla, formarán a las Crystal Gems, un grupo que defiende al planeta de amenazas de todo tipo.
Las gemas son criaturas de otro planeta con algunas habilidades interesantes; al principio nos interesa saber que no tienen una forma física (la forma que adoptan es una luz que refleja su gema), y que además su gema proyecta un arma con la que pueden combatir. Steven es la única gema mitad-humano en el universo, y tal vez por ello el pequeño protagonista no ha desarrollado sus poderes.
A lo largo de la serie vemos como la historia se va desarrollando y se va haciendo más profunda; estas amenazas contra las que peleaban no son lo que parecen, la historia detrás de Steven y de su familia poco a poco se va volviendo más densa, sus poderes poco a poco irán despertando y la relación de los personajes cada vez se va haciendo más fuerte a medida de que nos cuentan sus motivaciones y sus sentimientos. La serie tiene una historia que vale la pena ver, dar mas detalles acerca de la misma tal vez te prive de la sensación que deja el presenciar como todos los hilos se entrelazan con tus propios ojos.

Neon genesis evangelion is an anime of the genre Thriller, action and mecha. In short, it tells the story of a group of young people who must defend the earth from the attack of very powerful beings, which are called "angels". The story is set in a technologically developed Japan; where our protagonist, Shinji Ikari will have to adapt to certain types of situations, from the sudden call of his father to join a group derived from a semi-militarized governmental organization, to dealing with social, mental and moral conflicts.
I do not intend to explain in depth this series, as it is very extensive, with psychological, philosophical and religious concepts, theories, reflections and interpretations. So this entry will be much simpler than I would like, this to allow me to make a post explaining in depth this series.
To explain a little bit the context of the series, we have as a protagonist a young man, Shinji Ikari. His mother is dead and his father does not seem to love him, so all his childhood after the death of his mother he lived with his grandparents. Shinji is a young man with trust issues with people, with apparent depression and insecurity with himself, so he never had close people (beyond his grandparents, which are hardly mentioned in the story). One day Shiji's father calls him, it seems that finally after a long time he wants to meet with his son, he accepts and travels to where his father summoned him. Neon génesis evangelion es un anime del genero Thriller, acción y mecha. En resumidas palabras nos cuenta como un grupo de jóvenes que deben defender la tierra del ataque de seres muy poderosos, los cuales son llamados “ángeles”. La historia nos sitúa en un Japón desarrollado tecnológicamente; donde nuestro protagonista, Shinji Ikari tendrá que adaptarse a cierto tipo de situaciones, desde la llamada repentina de su padre para unirse a un grupo derivado de una organización gubernamental semi militarizada, hasta lidiar con conflictos sociales, mentales y morales.
No tengo intención de explicar a profundidad esta serie, ya que es muy extensa, con conceptos, teorías, reflexiones e interpretaciones psicológicas, filosóficas y religiosas. Por lo que esta entrada será bastante más sencilla de lo que me gustaría, esto para permitirme realizar un post explicando a profundidad esta serie.
Para explicar un poco el contexto de la serie, Tenemos como protagonista a un joven, Shinji Ikari. Su madre está muerta y su padre parece no quererlo, por lo que toda su infancia posterior al fallecimiento de su madre la vivió con sus abuelos. Shinji es un joven con problemas de confianza con las personas, con aparente depresión e inseguridad consigo mismo, por lo que nunca tuvo seres cercanos (más allá de sus abuelos, los cuales casi no son mencionados en la historia). Un día el padre de shiji lo llama, parece que por fin luego de tanto tiempo quería reunirse con su hijo, este acepta y viaja hasta donde su padre lo citó. Mientras esperaba en el lugar ocurre un ataque, un ángel invadió la ciudad y estaba ocasionando una devastación sin precedentes, a lo que fuerzas militares responden y atacan con su armamento más poderoso, siento este prácticamente inútil contra la nueva amenaza, luego de la detonación de un explosivo muy poderoso el ángel entra en “estado de reposo”, realmente no le ocasionó grandes daños, simplemente fue un daño superficial el cual lo obligó a descansar para regenerarse. Luego del ataque Misato, una empleada de Kendo (el padre de Shinji) hace contacto con Shinji y lo lleva a un lugar seguro, la organización en la que trabaja. Aquí es donde se da cuenta que Kendo llamó a shinji sólo para que se uniera a su organización, le pide que pilotee un prototipo de arma que realmente es capaz de enfrentar al ángel, esta arma es un robot tipo humanoide llamado Eva, la cual debe ser piloteada por Shinji, siendo este el inicio argumental de una organización capaz de enfrentar una nueva amenaza.
La serie además de mostrarnos una aventura de acción apocalíptica, también nos muestra mucho de los problemas personales de cada personaje, desde traumas adquiridos en la infancia, hasta problemas arraigados por presión social. Dándonos un vistazo a una interpretación única a la religión y la psicología que a pesar de que el espectador no tenga conocimiento previo sobre algunos conceptos logrará entender e incluso identificarse con ciertos personajes, e incluso, ciertos pensamientos generales planteados en la serie. Neon Genesis Evangelion destaca por ser una serie muy abierta a interpretaciones, con muchas teorías y conceptos sin explicar, ha dado pie a investigaciones rigurosas y comparaciones a las distintas presentaciones de la saga (Esta fue producida como una animación tipo serie, Películas y Manga).
Me gustaría extender la explicación, o ser más específico con ciertos detalles, así que dentro de poco estaré redactando un post más extenso sobre la saga, el motivo de incluirlo acá es principalmente por haber sido uno de los detonantes para que mi yo joven de 14 años se dedicara a investigar y estudiar
Y esto fue todo, desconozco si aplica como iniciativa o algo parecido, pero me gustaría involucrar a más personas a hacer contenido como este. Disfruto mucho ver las interpretaciones de cada persona con respecto a ciertas películas, shows de tv o animes, y en algunos casos es lo que me inspira a verlas. Independientemente de todo, ¡nunca dejemos de disfrutar del arte audiovisual!

Me gustaría leer tu post sobre esta iniciativa, más que nada por curiosidad ya que solo recuerdo haber visto 2 cartoons más antiguos de mi edad; el que creo que recuerdo con más cariño fue Thundercats, y he tenido miedo de volverla a ver porque siempre que veo algo relacionado recuerdo a mi padre viéndola en un VHS (murió cuando yo tenía 4 años)
Neon Genesis Evangelion marcó un antes y un después (Bueno, todas las series que mencionaste lo hicieron de una u otra forma), la mayoría de sus conflictos se presentan en un plano psicológico y siento que requiere más de un visionado para absorber todo, es densa y bella visualmente.
En cierta forma por eso lo puse, no supe cómo explicar lo que quería plantear, pero para mi son cartoons que tienen un significado muy importante, con una historia real, perfectamente construida y llena de tantos detalles que las hacen únicas. No como la típica caricatura genérica. Evangelion la he visto un total de 7 veces, y cada vez que la vuelvo a ver termino encontrando algo o entendiendo algún detalle que no entendí antes... Nunca dejará de sorprenderme ni de engancharme.
Y ciertamente, Evangelion marcó un antes y un despues en la historia de la animación japonesa, hasta ahora el genero estaba destinado a un publico infantil, con series tales como Mi Vecito Totoro, o Mazinger, Evangelion fue el inicio de series con una historia más adulta, con el valor de tocar temas que no se habían tocado en la animación, y sirvió de inspiración para muchos artistas a realizar obras del mismo calibre.
