Hello friends Hivers👋, have you ever imagined 💭 being able to live a moment of your life over and over again, well that's more or less what this series is about and much more👀.
For me it is one of those little treasures that Netflix has, I found it on a night when I wanted to see something different and I think I got it right. One of the reasons why I wanted to watch it, was because those science fiction series, where the main theme are problems with space time, death, and a bit of humour. For me it has the right combination of elements that make it unique and entertaining from the very first episode.
In general, the series is about a New Yorker who, on her 36th birthday, begins to experience strange events that lead her to death and to being trapped on that day. She also experiences journeys into her or her relatives' past, reliving old experiences, which help her to understand her condition and the events of her present.
Holaaa amigos Hivers👋, alguna vez se han imaginado 💭 poder vivir un momento de tu vida una y otra vez, bueno de esto más o menos trata esta serie y muchísimo más👀.
Para mi es de esos pequeños tesoros que tiene Netflix , la encontré en una noche en donde quería ver algo distinto y creo que atine muy bien. Unas de las razones por la cual quise verla, fue porque esas series de ciencia ficción, en donde el tema protagonista son problemas con el espacio tiempo, la muerte, y un poco de humor. Para mi tiene una combinación exacta de elementos que la hacen única y entretenida desde que ves el primer capítulo.
En modo general la serie se trata de una neoyorquina que en el día de su cumpleaños número 36, comienzan a sucederle extraños acontecimientos, que la llevan a la muerte y a quedarse atrapada en ese día. Como también experimenta viajes al pasado de ella o sus allegados, reviviendo viejas experiencias, que la ayudaran a entender su condición y los acontecimientos de su presente.

Incredibly the redhead star of this series (Natasha Lyonne as Nadia Vulvokov), is the series creator as well as Leslye Headland and Amy Poehler. The cast includes Charlie Barnett (Alan Zaveri), Greta Lee (as Maxine), Elizabeth Ashley (Ruth Brenner), Rebecca Henderson (Lizzy), Chloë Sevigny (Lenora Vulvokov), among others.
It is an American series comprised of 2 seasons, which give a total of 15 episodes. Produced by Universal Television, Paper Kite Productions, Jax Medi, and 3 Arts Entertainment. It premiered the first season in February 2019 and the second season in April this year.
Its name "Russian Doll" is due to the fact that like the toy, the protagonist of the series, gradually goes deep into her being, until she finds the true essence of her, which has been there and had not wanted to leave. Season 1 🔴 ⚫️
On her 36th birthday party, like every other party she's ever had, Nadia Vulvokov is simply living in the moment and as excessively as any New Yorker can live. Until the end of the day when she strangely dies, and thinking her existence is over, she goes back in time to the beginning of the party, to that strange bathroom that her friend Maxine had decorated. She then realises that she is trapped in a strange time loop, where she dies and is trapped in that day.

En su fiesta de cumpleaños número 36, como cualquier otra fiesta que ha tenido, Nadia Vulvokov simplemente vive el momento y lo exceso que puede vivir una neoyorkina cualquiera. Hasta que terminando ese día ella muere extrañamente, y pensando que su existencia había acabado, vuelve en el tiempo al comienzo de la fiesta, a ese extraño baño que su amiga Maxine había decorado. Luego se da cuenta que esta atrapada en un extraño bucle de tiempo, en donde muere y está atrapada en ese día.
This first season begins like this, with Nadia stuck on her birthday and not understanding what is happening to her. Throughout the chapters, she discovers that the same thing is happening to someone other than herself, this being Alan Zaveri, so together they try to discover this strange event, and if there is any connection that leads them both to live this day over and over again.
Esta primera temporada comienza así, con una Nadia atascada en su cumpleaños y sin entender que le está pasando. A lo largo de los capítulos, descubre que también a otra persona a parte de ella le ocurre lo mismo, siendo este Alan Zaveri , por lo que juntos tratan de descubrir este extraño suceso, y si existe alguna conexión que los lleve a ambos a vivir este día una y otra vez.
The first season of the show is striking, as Nadia and Alan's past begins to show, and how it has affected their present life. It's a season loaded with a bit of drama, but also with humour, excess and even a bit of romance. So you'll definitely be glued to it.
Me llama la atención de esta primera temporada , ya que se comienza asomar el pasado de Nadia y Alan , y como este afecto su vida presente. Es una temporada cargada un poco de drama, pero también de humor , excesos y hasta un poco de romance. Así que definitivamente quedaran pegados al verla.
Season 2 🔴⚪️
This time the season has a more dramatic and deeper tone in the emotions and past of its main characters. It begins years later, where a Nadia and Alan returned to their normal lives, but with a little more perspective on their lives and themselves. They thought that nothing weirder than what happened to them could happen to them, since the worst was over, right?
Temporada 2 🔴⚪️
En esta ocasión la temporada tiene un tono más dramático y profundo en las emociones y pasado de sus protagonistas. Comienza años después, en donde una Nadia y Alan volvieron a sus vidas normales, pero con un poco más de perspectiva sobre su vida y ellos mismos. Pensaban que nada más raro que lo que les ocurrió podría pasarle, ya que lo peor había pasado, ¿verdad?.
But just when you thought it was all over, it's because there's still a lot left hehehehe. Just as I am telling you, the red-haired protagonist of this story is once again a victim of the games of time and destiny, who insist on finding her again with her past, but this time in a different way, because when she gets on the underground, she is transported to the 80s, the same year that her mother is pregnant with her. But not only that, when she looks in a mirror, she realises that she is her mother.
Pero cuando pensaban que todo había acabado, es porque todavía queda mucho jejeje. Así mismo como les estoy diciendo, la pelirroja protagonista de esta historia vuelve a ser víctima de los juegos del tiempo y el destino, que se empeñan en encontrarla nuevamente con su pasado, pero esta vez de manera distinta, ya que al montarse en el metro, es transportada a los años 80 , el mismo año que su madre está embarazada de ella. Pero no solo eso, al mirar en un espejo, se da cuenta que es su madre.
So begins the second season, with a journey through time, which turns into many more, and not only Nadia can do it, but also Alan, who dares to take them in order to discover what lies beyond his inner self and to see the connection between his past and the present.
Así comienza la segunda temporada, con un viaje en el tiempo, el cual se transforma en muchos más, y no solo Nadia puede hacerlo, sino también Alan, el cual se atreve a realizarlos para poder descubrir que hay más allá de su interior y ver la conexión de su pasado con el presente.
Nadia not only travels back in time to her mother's time, but she goes to other times and assumes other identities, which leads her to unearth a past she thought forgotten and to try to solve some problems, which may solve her present.
Nadia no solo viaja en el tiempo a la época de su madre, sino que va a otras épocas y asume otras identidades, la cual la lleva a desenterrar un pasado que pensaba olvidado y a tratar resolver algunos problemas, que puedan que solucionen su presente.
Final comment 📢
When I started watching the series, I didn't imagine such a particular outcome. Since it delves into the deepest and most intimate of the protagonists. Digging into their past, what makes them what they are in the present.
We see a carefree Nadia, who indulges in excesses, doesn't care much about life, let alone having anything real with anyone, but with a past that she has tried to cover up, to hide the wounds that are still open. And Alan a young man who, although he thinks he has a "perfect" life or tries to, one day realises, that he was really trying to cover up all his shortcomings with a relationship and an empty lifestyle.
So both protagonists are taken by a strange twist of fate, which allows them to self-discover the ephemerality of time and their lives, being also relative their perception of their past and present.
Another reason to watch this series, is that it is not only drama, but it has a touch of humour and irony placed above all by the main character that really makes it great. In addition to Natasha Lyonne's spectacular performance as Nadia Vulvokov, she brings a bit of history into the show, as her maternal grandparents were holocaust survivors, and the issue of WWII survivors is touched upon in the show. As well as reflecting the excesses she had in her life as a young girl, which often almost led to her death.
For this and much more I think it deserves to be on the must watch list on Netflix. Each episode can immerse you in a bit of fun or drama, which will lead you to an unexpected reflection. If I had to sum it up in 2 words it would be: Unexpectedly Spectacular 🤩
Comentario final 📢
Al comenzar a ver la serie imagine no imagine un desenlace tan particular que tiene. Ya que se adentra a lo más profundo e íntimo de los protagonistas. Indagando en su pasado, los que les hace ser lo que son en el presente.
Vemos a una Nadia despreocupada, que incurre en los excesos, no le importa mucho la vida, ni mucho menos tener algo real con alguien, pero con un pasado que ha intentado tapizar, para ocultar las heridas que aún siguen abiertas. Y Alan un joven que, aunque cree tener una vida “perfecta” o intenta hacerlo, un día se da cuenta, que realmente intentaba cubrir todas sus deficiencias con una relación y un estilo de vida vacío.
Por lo que ambos protagonistas son llevados por un extraño giro del destino, lo cual les permite auto descubrir lo efímero del tiempo y de sus vidas, siendo también relativa su percepción de su pasado y presente.
Otra razón para ver esta serie, es que no solo es drama, sino que tiene un toque de humor e ironia colocado sobre todo por la protagonista que realmente lo hace genial. Además de la actuación espectacular de Natasha Lyonne como Nadia Vulvokov , ella imprime un poco de historia dentro de la serie , ya que sus abuelos maternos fueron sobrevivientes del holocausto, y el tema de los sobrevivientes de la segunda guerra mundial se toca en la serie. Como tambien refleja los exceso que tuvo en su vida de joven y que muchas veces casi la llevaron a la muerte.
Por esto y muchas cosas más creo que se merece estar entre la lista que no debes dejar de ver en Netflix. Cada capítulo podrá sumergirte en un poco de diversión o drama, que te llevara a una inesperada reflexión. Si tuviera que resumirla en 2 palabra seria: Inesperadamente Espectacular 🤩

fíjate que tengo una cuenta en Netflix pero jamás había visto esta serie por hay, que raro, pero por lo que leo en tu reseña se ve que es bastante interesante y ya hasta me llamo la atención para verla, porque se ve que es algo muy diferente a lo que siempre vemos, además que está fácilmente de ver en Netflix, la buscaré porque ya me dio curiosidad saber que pasa en realidad con los personajes, excelente recomendación

Esta serie es b u e n í s i m a, yo la comencé a ver a ciegas porque la actriz me gusta, pero ufff fue un descubrimiento supremo, los viajes en el tiempo son de mis temáticas favoritas y esta serie es especialista en eso.
Espero pronto poder terminar la segunda temporada, tengo muchas ganas de escribir también sobre ella, me parece que es una serie excelente 👏🏼

El personaje de Nadia es uno de los mejores que he visto, es sin duda el alma de esta historia.
Espero que muy pronto confirmen la tercera temporada que significa el fin de la serie; hay todavía secretos que revelar como por ejemplo el porque tanto Nadia como Alan siempre deben experimentar con asuntos del tiempo.
Hola @nameless16 bueno he leído que netflix no ha anunciado una tercera temporada , pero bueno como fanáticos de la serie quedamos con ganas de mas. Aunque mi teoría de la conexión de Alan y Nadia con los viajes en el tiempo , es de nuevo su autodescubrimiento, adentrar mas en ello y seguir sanado sus heridas.
