Hello Hiveans, I Hope you are having a Great week.I did my first movie review last week on The Queen's Gambit and I got lot of positive feedbacks.So today I recommend yet another Inspiring movie "Queen of Katwe".Yes! Another female lead character story However, this happen to be a true story and a very emotional one as it depicts the struggles of ten year old Phiona.It also revolves around the game of chess but just like the Queen's gambit you don't need to play chess to understand the storyline.

La semana pasada hice mi primera crítica de una película sobre El gambito de la reina y recibí muchos comentarios positivos, así que hoy os recomiendo otra película inspiradora, "Queen of Katwe". La película es una historia real y muy emotiva, ya que muestra las luchas de Phiona, una niña de diez años, y también gira en torno al ajedrez, pero al igual que el Gambito de la Reina, no es necesario jugar al ajedrez para entender la historia.
This film discusses having potential and building it. It additionally discusses being tough. 10 year old phiona,Living in Katwe,a slum in Kampala,Uganda who is subjected to taking care of her mother's selling of Maize in the market and taking care of her younger ones meets opportunity when she meets Robert Katende at a missionary program. Katende coaches soccer and teaches children to play chess at a local center.Phiona with so much curiosity approaches and learns the game. She becomes fascinated with the game and soon becomes a top player in the group under Katende's guidance. It's okay to add that it wasn't a straightforward journey with so many up's and down.
The actors played their roles efficiently, even Phiona’s youngest brother! The love of a remarkably single mother who is determined to see her children succeed despite life’s challenges.
Esta película habla de tener potencial y construirlo. Además, habla de ser duro. Phiona, una niña de 10 años que vive en Katwe, una barriada de Kampala, Uganda, y que está sometida a la venta de maíz de su madre y al cuidado de sus hijos, encuentra una oportunidad cuando conoce a Robert Katende en un programa misionero. With wonderful and clear cinematography, the film portrays Katwe for its watchers. Most of the film was shot on the spot, permitting the blend of precise symbolism and inconspicuous African music played over scenes to give an insider's viewpoint on life in the ghettos.
While the humble community is destitution blasted and needs trust, Katwe's kin are loaded with life and have a solid feeling of local area.
In like manner, the Mutesi family comprises of a single parent and her four kids who, regardless of living with negligible material belongings and no instruction, discover ways of making it work. The mother has her kids sell maize and other food items around the town, bringing in barely enough cash for food and lease. With empathy and respect for her characters,Movie Director Mira Nair arranged this tale to underscore the common values shared by cultures that are oceans apart. Her film is a beautiful tribute to African women and all those on the continent who struggle to make a positive difference in the world.

This is a movie I love so much.. I love the story line and the movie production.. I was emotionally in some part of the movie especially when she won the final game.

I didn't know this movie and it's about chess and it's based on a real life. I will look for it. It's from Disney, I pay little attention to Disney productions, that's why I didn't know this movie. The subject is interesting and the actress Lupita is fabulous.
