Since we're on this lively Halloween day, I'd like to recommend a short film. While the first one was released 10 years ago... the second part was released yesterday. While neither short film is strictly horror, it might leave you thinking or with a touch of mystery and sadness.
You're all invited to enjoy these short films. I'll include the links to parts 1 and 2 so you can watch them.✨ Just to clarify, the videos belong to the creator, Mike Inel, and you can find them on his channel Youtube.

This short film was published approximately 10 years ago, it lasts 10 minutes but it can leave you thinking for a very long time.

The story begins with a boy and his friend on Halloween. Everything was fine until the boy noticed that his friend wasn't receiving any candy, even though he kept asking for it (everyone ignored her as if she weren't there). But that didn't stop him, and he still enjoyed her company.
Everything changes when his worried parents call a doctor, who gives them a diagnosis. The boy, in his innocence, takes the results and reads, "DIAGNOSIS: IMAGINARY FRIEND." His mother then shows him the photo she had taken of him with his friend... and we see that there was no one there; it was a picture of him alone.
The boy, in his innocence, got angry and went off to play with his friend... wandering far from home and into a forest full of animal traps. Worried that the boy hadn't reappeared, his parents decided to launch a search with specialists to find him. They finally found them... On one side, the boy was safe and sound sleeping under a tree, while on the other side was his "Imaginary Friend", who had actually fallen into a bear trap... sadly they found her in a state of decomposition with a little piece of candy wrapper that said "You found me".
After watching this short film, several questions and doubts come to mind that I can't fully answer in the second short film (If you have any theories or comments, please let me know!)
- Who was the girl really?
- Did the girl know the boy? What was her reason for choosing him to find her?
- Will the boy remember the event?
- Were the other missing children mentioned found in a similar way?
- When the boy starts to enter the woods, one of the traps starts to spring. Did he also fall into the trap, or was that what the girl envisioned before she died?
- Throughout the short film, the girl has visible marks from the trap. Did she always want to warn the boy to find her?

This short film was recently released, it lasts approximately 1 minute but it will leave us thinking much more than the previous short film.

This story doesn't pick up where the previous short film left off; we see that a lot of time has passed. It begins in the boy's room, where he's now much older, but he hears a strange noise coming from his closet. We're surprised to find the girl inside, the same one they found 10 years ago.
They both end up going out for candy... everything's fine until the boy bumps into someone else... who, to his surprise, LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE HIS FRIEND! And one detail we can appreciate is that this new person can also see the girl.
After watching this second part, I wasn't completely satisfied with all the questions I had (in fact, it didn't answer a single one and left me with many more). If you have any theories, I'd appreciate it if you shared them with me!
- Couldn't the girl's soul rest in peace after being found?
- Why does the boy keep seeing her even though so much time has passed?
- Why does the girl look at him with a somewhat mischievous expression before going trick-or-treating? Did she never really leave, or does she appear periodically to teach him something new?
- The boy looks at the girl with sad eyes. Could it be that he knows a little more about what happened to her when they found her in the woods?
- The new person they both encounter looks remarkably like a grown-up version of the girl. And if you look closely, she's carrying a pumpkin with half of what appears to be a heart, and the boy is carrying the other half. Could it be that she also knew the girl? If that weren't the case, why was he able to see the girl on the boy's shoulders?
Finally, I highly recommend these short films because, although it may not seem like it, the plot will hook you with its twists and turns (Imagine me, I still have more questions than answers to this day 🤣).

Ya que estamos en este día de Halloween les recomendaré un corto animado, que si bien se publicó hace 10 años... La segunda parte fue publicada el día de ayer. Ambos cortometrajes si bien no son de terror, nos puede dejar pensando o con una ligereza de misterio y tristeza.

Este corto fue publicado hace 10 años aproximadamente, tiene una duración de 10 minutos pero los puede dejar pensando muchísimo tiempo.

La historia comienza con un niño y su amiga en Halloween, todo iba en orden hasta que le parecía raro al niño que su amiga no reciba los dulces por más de que él lo pedía (Todos la ignoraban como si no estuviera). Pero eso no fue impedimento para él y aún así disfrutaba mucho de esa compañía.
Todo cambia cuando sus padres preocupados llaman a un doctor y este les brinda un diagnostico, el niño en su ingenuidad les quita los resultados y al leerlo encuentra un texto "DIAGNOSTICO: AMIGO IMAGINARIO". Aquí la madre le enseña la foto que le había tomado a su hijo junto a su amiga... y observamos realmente que no había nadie y era una foto de él solo.
El niño en su inocencia, se enojó y se fue a jugar con su amiga... alejándose de casa y entrándose en un bosque lleno de trampas para animales. Los padres preocupados por que el niño no aparecía decidieron empezar una búsqueda con personal especializado para encontrar a su hijo. Finalmente los encontraron... Por un lado, el niño estaba sano y salvo durmiendo debajo de un árbol, mientras que en el otro lado se encontraba su "Amiga imaginaria", quién realmente había caído en una trampa para osos... lamentablemente la encuentran en estado de descomposición con un papelito de un dulce que dice "Me encontraste".
Terminando de ver este corto se me ocurren diversas dudas e interrogantes que en el segundo cortometraje no las puedo responder todas al 100% (Si tienes alguna teoría o comentario házmelo saber!)
- ¿Quién era realmente la niña?
- ¿La niña conocía al niño? ¿Cuál fue el motivo o razón de elegirlo a él para que la encuentre?
- ¿El niño recordará el suceso?
- Los demás niños desaparecidos que figuran, ¿Habrán sido encontrados de una manera igual a esa?
- Cuándo el niño empieza a entrar al bosque una de las trampas empieza a saltar, ¿También cayó en la trampa o esa escena fue lo que visualizaba la niña antes de morir?
- Durante todo el corto se le puede ver a la niña las marcas de la trampa, ¿Siempre quiso avisarle al niño que la encuentre?

Este corto se estrenó hace poco, tiene una duración de 1 minuto aproximadamente pero nos dejará pensando mucho más que el corto anterior.

Esta historia no retoma en el momento donde finaliza el cortometraje anterior, aquí ya observamos que pasó mucho tiempo, inicia en el cuarto del niño que ya encuentra mucho más grande pero escucha un sonido raro dentro de su armario. Nos damos la sorpresa que dentro se encuentra a la niña, quien encontraron hace 10 años.
Ambos terminan saliendo por dulces... todo bien hasta que el niño choca con alguien más... que para su sorpresa ES IGUAL A SU AMIGA! Y un detalle que podemos apreciar es que esta nueva persona puede ver también a la niña.
Terminando de ver esta segunda parte no se resolvieron al 100% las dudas que tenía (Es más, no resolvió ni una y me dejó con muchísimas más dudas), de igual forma si tienes alguna hipótesis te agradecería si me lo haces saber!!
- ¿El alma de la niña no pudo descansar en paz después de ser encontrada?
- ¿Por qué el niño la sigue viendo a pesar de que ya pasó muchísimo tiempo?
- ¿Por qué la niña lo mira con una mirada algo pícara antes de irse a pedir dulces? ¿Será que ella nunca se fue o aparece cada cierto tiempo para enseñarle algo nuevo?
- El niño observa a la niña con unos ojos tristes, ¿Será que el sabe un poco más de lo que le pasó cuando la encontraron en el bosque?
- La nueva persona que se encuentra con ambos, se parece muchísimo a la niña en versión grande... Y si nos fijamos bien en los detalles, ella lleva una calabaza con la mitad de lo que parece un corazón y el niño lleva la otra mitad, ¿Será que ella también conoció a la niña? ¿De no ser así por que pudo observar a la niña que se encontraba en los hombros del niño?
Para finalizar, recomiendo mucho estos pequeños cortometrajes ya que aunque no lo parezca, la trama te enganchará según los giros que tiene la historia (Imagínense yo que terminé con más dudas que respuestas hasta el día de hoy 🤣).
