Hello Hive friends, it's a pleasure to be here again and today I'm here to talk about one of my favorite movies, or rather, one of my favorite sagas: Harry Potter. A saga that I grew up watching since I was little and with which I was amazed by that fantasy world in which I loved to lose myself.

I would like to share my opinion about this saga, my favorite moments and characters and of course, my favorite movie of the entire saga. Also, I will share with you which Hogwarts house I officially belong to, because as a good fan of the saga I took the Pottermore.com site test, where by answering a series of questions the sorting hat placed me in a house and I personally agree with the choice, it even looks like real magic 😅. Hola amigos de Hive, es un placer estar aquí de nuevo y hoy vengo a hablarles sobre una de mis películas favoritas, más bien, una de mis sagas favoritas: Harry Potter. Una saga que crecí viendo desde pequeña y con la que quedé maravillada por ese mundo de fantasía en el que amaba perderme.
Me gustaría compartirles mi opinión sobre esta saga, mis momentos y personajes preferidos y por supuesto, mi película preferida de toda la saga. Asimismo, les compartiré a que casa de Hogwarts pertenezco oficialmente, pues como buena fan de la saga hice la prueba del sitio Pottermore.com, donde al responder una serie de preguntas el sombrero seleccionador me ubicó en una casa y personalmente concuerdo con la elección, hasta parece magia de verdad 😅. ¿Se atreven a adivinar? My experience with Harry Potter began at a very young age. I always saw the movies on television or recorded on discs. It was my cousin Yojan who instilled in me the love for these movies, since he is a big fan too and we always watched the movies at his house. I remember that we had them recorded in Spanish, which is our mother tongue, but now that we are grown-ups, since we are both lovers of the English language, we cannot think of seeing them in any other language than their original in English. It is a delight to hear the British pronunciation of its actors, but of course these are factors that we did not care much about as children.
Mi experiencia con Harry Potter empezó desde muy pequeña. Siempre ví las películas en la televisión o grabadas en discos. Fue mi primo Yojan quien me inculcó el amor por estás películas, ya que él es un gran fan también y siempre veíamos las películas en su casa. Me acuerdo que las teníamos grabadas en español, que es nuestra lengua materna, pero ya se grandes, al ambos ser amantes del idioma inglés, no podemos pensar en verlas en ningún otro idioma que su original en inglés. Es una delicia oír la pronunciación británica de sus actores, pero claro son factores que cuando niños no nos importaban mucho.

If I had to say how many times I've seen the Harry Potter movies I couldn't, I've already lost count. It's one of those movies you never get tired of watching. I must also say that as a child you do not fully understand what happens in the plot, the fact of seeing it so many times over the years has allowed me to understand everything better. It has even happened to me that when I go back to see these movies there are some other scenes that I had completely forgotten about.
Si tuviera que decir cuantas veces he visto las películas de Harry Potter no pudiera, ya perdí la cuenta. Es de esas películas que nunca te cansas de ver. También debo decir que uno de niña no entiende bien del todo lo que pasa en la trama, el hecho de verla tantas veces a través de los años me ha permitido comprender todo mejor. Incluso me ha pasado que cuando vuelvo a ver estas películas hay alguna que otra escena de la que me había olvidado completamente.
If movies are already quite rich in content, books are much more so, which I had the opportunity to read a few years ago thanks to the UB Reader app, because living in Cuba you can't get them in any bookstore 🤷🏻♀️ . But I was able to read them on my phone and since then I have been able to understand better the movies and the whole story in general.
Si ya las películas son bastante ricas en contenido, mucho más lo son los libros, los cuales tuve la oportunidad de leer hace unos años gracias a la app UB Reader, pues al vivir en Cuba no los puedes conseguir en ninguna librería 🤷🏻♀️. Pero los pude leer en mi teléfono y desde entonces he podido comprender mejor las películas y toda la historia en general.
Currently I keep all the films on my laptop and also the documentary for the celebration of the 20th anniversary of the saga, where the cast met and we enjoyed anecdotes and behind-the-scenes scenes, it was very emotional.
Actualmente guardo en mi laptop todas las películas y además el documental por la celebración del 20 aniversario de la saga, donde se reunió el elenco y disfrutamos de anécdotas y escenas detrás de cámaras, fue muy emotivo.

The first part of the saga is one of the most beautiful, because it is where we meet together with Harry about the magical world and we are speechless with everything we see. When the first-year students enter the great hall for the first time, it is an impressive scene, because we can see the majesty of the place, a scene very well accompanied by the soundtrack, which seems to welcome you to Hogwarts.
La primera parte de la saga es una de las más bonitas, pues es donde conocemos a la par con Harry sobre el mundo mágico y quedamos boquiabiertos con todo lo que vemos. Cuando los alumnos de primero entran en el gran comedor por primera vez es una escena impresionante, pues podemos ver la majestuosidad del lugar, una escena muy bien acompañada por la banda sonora, que pareciera que te da la bienvenida a Hogwarts.
Everything is amazing, the haunted ceiling, the hanging candles, the sorting hat, but my favorite part is when the food shows up. There are no words to describe that moment, what a delight! So much food at your disposal seems like a dream. I also always find Ron very funny eating chicken with both hands 😂.
Todo es increíble, el techo hechizado, las velas colgantes, el sombrero seleccionador, pero mi parte preferida es cuando aparece la comida. No hay palabras para describir ese momento, ¡que delicia! Tanta comida a tu disposición parece un sueño. También siempre me hace mucha gracia Ron comiendo pollo con ambas manos 😂.

This scene could not be missing from this top, because this epic confrontation is something that we have been looking forward to seeing since the first film: a battle between the most powerful magicians in history. In it we see both magicians use their best tricks and display all their power. One thing I noticed was the use of opposites to play out this battle between good and evil. An example of this are the colors that their wands give off, red for Dumbledore and blue for Voldemort. Also, this is evidenced when Voldemort uses a fire serpent and Dumbledore encases him in a large ball of water. One last example would be when Voldemort attacks Dumbledore using black magic and Dumbledore defends himself with a kind of shield and a white light emanates from his wand.
Esta escena no podía faltar en este top, pues esta épica confrontación es algo que desde la primera película esperamos ver con ansias: una batalla entre los magos más poderosos de la historia. En la misma vemos a ambos magos utilizar sus mejores trucos y desplegar todo su poder. Una cosa que noté fue el uso de los opuestos para desarrollar esta batalla entre el bien y el mal. Ejemplo de esto son los colores que desprenden sus varitas, rojo la de Dumbledore y azul la de Voldemort. También, esto se evidencia cuando Voldemort usa una serpiente de fuego y Dumbledore lo encierra en una gran bola de agua. Un último ejemplo sería cuando Voldemort ataca a Dumbledore usando magia negra y este se defiende con una especie de escudo y de su varita emana una luz blanca.

The battle ends when Voldemort invades Harry Potter's mind and then the Minister for Magic arrives and sees Voldemort, so he can no longer deny his return. For this reason, this is a very important scene for the plot of the story.
La batalla termina cuando Voldemort invade la mente de Harry Potter y luego llega el Ministro de Magia y ve a Voldemort, por lo que no puede seguir negando su regreso. Por tal motivo esta es una escena muy importante para la trama de la historia.
3- Cedric Diggory dies (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire)

This is one of the saddest scenes, in my opinion, of the entire saga. First of all, I must say that the fourth installment is among my favorites, because everything related to the Triwizard Tournament is incredible, in addition to the fact that it is that part where we can see Voldemort in his full body for the first time.
Esta es una de las escenas más tristes, en mi opinión, de toda la saga. Primeramente, debo decir que la cuarta entrega está entre mis preferidas, pues todo lo relacionado con el Torneo de los Tres Magos es increíble, además de que es esa parte donde podemos ver a Voldemort de cuerpo entero por primera vez.
Cedric's death hurt me a lot, because despite his differences with Harry, he was a good and kind person and even helped Harry decipher the clue to the golden egg. He definitely didn't deserve to die like this in vain. No matter how many times I watch that movie, I always cry when Harry gets Cedric out of the maze. Although it is very sad, I am glad that at least his body was not left in the graveyard with Voldemort.
La muerte de Cedric me dolió mucho, pues a pesar de sus diferencias con Harry, era una persona buena y amable y hasta ayudó a Harry a descifrar la pista del huevo de oro. Definitivamente no merecía morir así en vano. No importa cuántas veces vea esa película, siempre lloro cuando Harry saca a Cedric del laberinto. Aunque es muy triste, me alegra que al menos su cuerpo no se quedó en el cementerio con Voldemort.
2- McGonagall vs Snape (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2)

What I love about this scene is how Professor McGonagall protects Harry and confronts Snape showing that she is a very brave Gryffindor. After stopping McGonagall's attacks, Snape runs away from her as he doesn't really want to fight her and Harry and the rest of the Order retake control of the school and prepare for battle.
Lo que me encanta de esta escena es como la profesora McGonagall protege a Harry y se enfrenta a Snape mostrando que es una Gryffindor muy valiente. Luego de detener los ataques de McGonagall, Snape escapa pues en realidad no quiere pelear contra ella y Harry y el resto de la Orden retoman el control de la escuela y se preparan para la batalla.
This scene is also special due to the fact that at this point in the film we still don't know that Snape is one of the good guys, a fact that is revealed a little later in the same film. But without a doubt, Harry arriving at school gives hope and strength to the students and teachers of Hogwarts for the battle that lies ahead and it is something beautiful to see.
Esta escena es especial también por el hecho de que en este punto de la película aún no sabemos que Snape es uno de los buenos, dato que se desvela un poco más adelante en esta misma película. Pero sin duda, Harry llegando al colegio les da esperanzas y fuerzas a los alumnos y maestros de Hogwarts para la batalla que se les avecina y es algo bonito de ver.

Another of the best movies in the saga in my opinion is this. The scene where Harry goes back in time and fights 100 dementors is really amazing. That tense moment when Harry waits for his father or someone else to come and save him and Sirius, and suddenly realizes that only he is there and casts his patronus is very rewarding and confusing at the same time, everything related to time travel is 🤯. It is a scene with a nice soundtrack that makes you feel very proud of Harry for having achieved the spell that he was practicing throughout the movie and thus overcoming his fear of dementors.
Otra de las mejores películas de la saga en mi opinión es esta. La escena donde Harry vuelve al pasado y lucha contra 100 dementores es realmente increíble. Ese momento tenso cuando Harry espera que venga su padre o alguien más a salvarlos a él y a Sirius, y de repente se da cuenta que solo él está ahí y lanza su patronus es muy gratificante y confuso a la vez, todo lo relacionado con viajes al tiempo lo es 🤯. Es una escena con una bonita banda sonora que te hace sentir muy orgulloso de Harry por haber logrado el hechizo que estuvo practicando durante toda la película y vencer así su miedo a los dementores.

Harry Potter is great, of course, he is the protagonist of this story. But if I have to choose my favorite character it would be Hermione Granger. I have always related to her, a studious and intelligent girl. Many might think that being in Ravenclaw would suit her better, but movie after movie she proves that she is a true Gryffindor by breaking the rules to defend her friends. Her intelligence and her bravery make her a great character, without whom Harry and Ron would not have survived until the end 😂. Without a doubt, she is the best.
Harry Potter es genial, por supuesto, es el protagonista de esta historia. Pero si tengo que escoger a mi personaje preferido sería Hermione Granger. Siempre me he identificado con ella, una chica estudiosa e inteligente. Muchos pudieran pensar que estar en Ravenclaw le vendría mejor, pero película tras película ella demuestra que es una verdadera Gryffindor al saltarse las reglas para defender a sus amigos. Su inteligencia y valentía la hacen un gran personaje, sin el cuál Harry y Ron no hubieran sobrevivido hasta el final 😂. Sin dudas es la mejor.
Luna Lovegood is another of my favorite characters, an intelligent but somewhat strange girl who follows her own style and doesn't care what anyone thinks of her, and who, in addition to being a Ravenclaw, shows a lot of courage when fighting with her friends against the forces of Voldemort.
Luna Lovegood es otro de mis personajes preferidos, una chica inteligente pero algo rara que sigue su propio estilo y no le importa lo que piensen de ella, y que además de ser de Ravenclaw muestra mucha valentía al luchar con sus amigos por contra las fuerzas de Voldemort.
Without a doubt, these two girls have been great role models, I learned a lot from them and I think they contribute a lot to the story. They definitely represent women in a great way.
Sin duda estás dos chicas han sido grandes ejemplos a seguir, aprendí mucho de ellas y creo que aportan mucho a la historia. Definitivamente representan de forma espectacular a las mujeres.
My favorite movie
Mi película preferida
It is very difficult to choose a favorite movie in this saga, since they are all equally good and special. The first two are the most tender, because everyone is still very young and we have fun discovering the magical world. The third with its time travel and the fourth with the Triwizard Tournament are my favorites and from the fifth with the return of Voldemort everything becomes more serious and we get deeper into this fight between good and evil.
Es muy difícil elegir una película preferida en esta saga, ya que todas son igual de buenas y especiales. Las dos primeras son las más tiernas, pues todos están muy pequeños todavía y nos divertimos descubriendo el mundo mágico. La tercera con sus viajes en el tiempo y la cuarta con el Torneo de los Tres Magos son de mis preferidas y a partir de la quinta con el regreso de Voldemort todo se vuelve más serio y nos adentramos más en esta lucha del bien y el mal.
Anyway, I like them all but definitely my favorite is the third part: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. First of all, I love how everyone is a little older now, and there is a certain degree of maturity compared to the previous two films.
En fin, me gustan todas pero definitivamente mi preferida es la tercera parte: Harry Potter y el Prisionero de Azkaban. Primeramente me encanta como ya todos están un poco más grandes, y se nota un cierto grado de madurez con respecto a las dos películas anteriores.
We had a lot of fun with the new classes and teachers. We have Hagrid in Care of Magical Creatures class, where we see the majestic Hippogriff Buckbeak. A very funny moment is when Neville tries to open the textbook 😅. What a dangerous book.
Nos divertimos mucho con las nuevas clases y profesores. Tenemos a Hagrid en la clase de Cuidado de Criaturas Mágicas, donde vemos al majestuoso Hipogrifo Buckbeak. Un momento muy gracioso es cuando Neville trata de abrir el libro de texto 😅. Que libro más peligroso.
We also have Divination class with Professor Trelawney where we feel the danger that the Grim poses to Harry.
También tenemos la clase de Adivinación con la profesora Trelawney en dónde sentimos el peligro que supone el Grim para Harry.
Finally there is the Defense Against the Dark Arts class with Professor Lupin, in which we learn how to defeat a boggart in a very easy and fun way using the Riddikulus spell.
Por último está la clase de Defensa contra las Artes Oscuras con el profesor Lupin, en la cual aprendemos como vencer a un boggart de una manera muy fácil y divertida usando el hechizo Riddikulus.
In this part we also find out the truth about Ron's rat, Scabbers, who was actually Peter Pettigrew who betrayed Harry's parents, and the Grim who is nothing more than Sirius Black, Harry's godfather and who is actually one of the good guys.
En esta parte también descubrimos la verdad sobre la rata de Ron, Scabbers, quien era en verdad Peter Pettigrew que traicionó a los padres de Harry, y el Grim que no es más que Sirius Black, el padrino de Harry y que en realidad es uno de los buenos.
My favorite part is when they travel back in time to save Sirius and Buckbeak, everything that happens is incredible, especially when Harry manages to do the patronus charm and fight against 100 dementors, it's one of my favorite scenes, I just love it.
Mi parte preferida es cuando viajan en el tiempo para salvar a Sirius y a Buckbeak, todo lo que pasa es increíble, sobre todo cuando Harry logra hacer el encantamiento patronus y lucha contra 100 dementores, es una de mis escenas preferidas, simplemente me encanta.
In short, I think this part is the perfect transition between the previous two that had a more childish tone, let's say, and the following ones where the plot becomes more serious and dark. Without a doubt, the third part is a work of art and for all these reasons it is my favorite
En resumen, creo que esta parte es la perfecta transición entre las dos anteriores que tuvieron un tono más infantil digamos, y las siguientes en dónde la trama se vuelve más seria y oscura. Sin dudas, la tercera parte es una obra de arte y por todas estas razones es mi preferida 🤩.

Well yes friends, I'm from Ravenclaw and I must say that I think it seems like magic actually, because although I would have loved to be Gryffindor for obvious reasons, my personality is great in Ravenclaw, because I'm very curious and intelligent. I would also like to think that at a certain time I could become as brave as Luna.
Pues si amigos, soy de Ravenclaw y debo decir que creo que parece magia en realidad, pues aunque me hubiera encantado que me tocará Gryffindor por obvias razones, mi personalidad va genial en Ravenclaw, pues soy muy curiosa e inteligente. También me gustaría pensar que en un momento que lo amerite podría llegar a ser tan valiente como Luna.

I read the first four books, and the movies if I saw them all, but I'm not a super fan like you. The other movies derived from that universe I haven't seen. Now, I do know people who are big fans of the whole saga. I liked the movies, the later ones I liked because the actors were older and the tone of the movies was darker. Didn't you dress up as one of the characters? I'm missing a picture of you as Hermione.
I wish to dress like her, but unfortunately I have no way of getting any costume. I have a black T-shirt though with the symbol of the school,it is in the cover image 😅

Disfruté muchísimo leyéndote porque no es muy muy común encontrar Potterheads en la plataforma, yo también lo soy y casualmente también soy Ravenclaw, amo mi casa, me siento muy identificada con ella.
De todas las películas mi favorita es El Prisionero de Azkaban pero es porque en ella podemos ver una versión diferente de Snape, protegiendo a los chicos, algo que lamentablemente no pudimos ver en el libro que, en este caso nos ofrece una imagen un poco más egoísta del personaje, aún así, Severus Snape siempre será mi personaje favorito de toda la vida, por ser uno de los más complejos y profundos pero sobre todo por la nobleza que realmente guardaba su corazón.
