Our Summer Adventure at Jomabo Paradise Island

Good day everyone! Looking back during our family summer adventure at Jomabo Island Paradise was a memorable one. My daughter had already marked her timetable to set aside her one-month bonus whenever she comes home to enjoy the benefits as provided by the hospital management.

That was the only means of transportation (with life vests of course) 0n our way to Jomabo Island. It is only about 20 minutes ride by pump boat. The package deal was for us to stay there for two nights and two days including accommodation.

This is only one among our adventures with the whole family. Seldom do we gather together as one due to our respective responsibilities in order to meet both ends. With three members in the family who are now in the bosom of our Creator, all we want now is to get closer more than ever and to protect each other.

My two grandsons were the living image of my daughter and son and that am really thankful of. It seems they’re still there when I look at them. It’s a motivation for me to move on despite the ordeal we’ve undergone.

There’s so much fun when you have small kids around….

My two nurses need to unwind as well.

Looking for some adventures and learning new things. The big ones taught our youngest member in the family on how to swim.

Below the pathway is a little passage where the kids find it awesome to pass below.

Well, mama bear has no choice but follow the leader!

Finishing line on the way to dreamland…

Doing their thing before the sun sits on the horizon…

Shadowing over the moonlight...

Likewise, it’s bonding time for Antonia and her mom. They seldom see each other as she’s working as a Medical Sales Representative where they travel across the main Islands in the Philippines. They wanted to catch their shadow under the moonlight before the clouds cover the moon.

The kids waited for low tide to pick some seafoods to be cooked straight from the sea.

They brought flashlights, ready for the adventure.

There, my youngest son caught a big crab!

Grandson got his little captures too. You need to search under the rocks where they can be found hiding. How they enjoyed doing this for two nights!

The fruits of their labor. They’ve caught crabs, little octopus and shells. Now, I can testify that seafoods that were freshly caught from the sea and cooked right away has a sweet salty fresh taste. It was awesome!

We spread mat outside to appreciate the beauty of the stars twinkling up above the sky, feeling the cool sea breeze at night. Ah… it was so invigorating.

The second day was a cool day. Daughter took a quick dip while Antonia was still fast asleep.

Our second night at the island. Antonia loved to have her own souvenir photo as well.

Hugging my son. I miss him so because he seldom visits us every Holiday or none at due to time constraint, especially when their client demands their services at the BPO center during peak seasons.

My eldest grandson with his studies too.

The catch on the second night was a better one.

Our youngest in the family loved to stroll on the wet sand when the tide is still low. That’s our cottage at the back.

Kayaking was the last adventure for the third day. My grandson practiced how to paddle first beside our cottage when high tide came.

The triumphant smile…

The big ones are allowed to circle the island when the wind is manageable. As you can see from the background, is the Negros Island where we came from. The seawater in between Negros and Jomabo is the Tanon Straight. Therefore, lifeguards are always on guard not to let their clients go any further for their safety.

The lovebirds…

That’s me and my grandson. We had trial just below our cottage. My grandson was giving instruction on how to paddle on the right rhythm so we can go to our next destination. I kept on laughing because am not a good sailor I said. You bet am right, when we went further and passed by the fish sanctuary, I padded on the wrong direction which made the kayak run into the marshes. We didn’t take any picture because we hurriedly waded fast for fear of being caught by the guards.

Wading back safely as if nothing happened. It was our little secret.

Touchdown!

Only the gadgets connect us from the outside world…

My little jewels, making most of their time.

That's the far view of the Jomabo Paradise Island. We are still looking forward to go back to this beautiful island to experience again the tranquility and serenity of this place.

Mucha aventura. Un paseo maravilloso con muchas fotos de recuerdo. Saludos.

A lot of adventure A wonderful walk with many souvenir photos. Greetings.

Thank you! Adventure with our family needs documentation. When kids are grown up, we seldom gather together due to time constraints. This is one of my memorable moments with my family.
