I don't know why but I still keep on calling the future #hivetwitter app from Leofinance, project blank. I guess I'm attached to this name. It's been mentioned first by Khal about one year ago or more and I was instantly attracted to such a Leofinance product.
A twitter-like Hive app is exactly what the "Hive society" was lacking. We pretty much have everything in here, but so far we're stuck with mostly blog types of posts as a social media platform. That's an old reminiscence from Steem I guess.
People find it hard and dangerous to decouple from blogging and make this platform a more diversified one, short-form content included. I have been saying for years that we desperately need short-form content and I have also said multiple times on my blog that Hive has never had proper marketing.
Project blank might be the first true marketing Hive has ever had...
Elon Musk has been all over the news lately with his intention of buying Twitter and cleaning it up of spam, bots, and everything that makes Twitter a naughty app. Elon is not a dumb investor, thus trying to make the most for the buck.
If you can't get on TV, then you should better get in the hands of the people, the average Joes, and Janets.
Leofinance made everything simple about Hive, from account creation to DeFi, and will make it possible for Hive to go mainstream once we have the damn app. I literally don't know why Khal has delayed it so much. It's like he doesn't want to be famous ;).
Hive has the pedigree to make Elon Musk's dream come true. A social media app that is built on a decentralized blockchain, that can be labeled as WEB3, and can also act like a money transferring tool, will simply be a crypto geek come true.
I don't consider that blogging will die once blank is out, but we have to step the game up, boost engagement and increase traffic for Hive. Blank is the perfect tool for that.
If you add Hive's capability of free crypto transfers, speed, reliability specific to all Leofinance products, and a way of monetizing twitter-like form of content, all you need is to put it in the hands of the masses and you got yourself the best marketing strategy. They'll go out and talk about it.
I don't know the exact features of this future app, but I bet Khal has taken into consideration a sort of wallet that could serve almost instant transfers between users around the world. That would mark an important must-have for a decentralized web3 social media app. We're so close to finally getting mainstream and this twitter-like Leofinance branded app will play such an important role in this matter.
Noise.cash is trash because of the business model it has and the blockchain it was built on. With blank, we're talking of a whole different pedigree. So please, @khaleelkazi, give us blank! We want blank... I bet @trumpman, the master of shitposting wants it too.

👍🏻 I fully agree with you that the LeoFinance App could be a game changer but regarding the Twitter-like content creation I have to say we have @dbuzz which is kind of like that. They call it Microblogging but it feels like Twitter. 🤷🏼♂️

Well it is a community too but the „App“ has a Twitter like use case.
Anyways, I agree with you that a real App where you can not only blog but also do smaller posts would be very useful for LeoFinance/Hive. 👍🏻
I am using DBuzz so far for small posts but will switch to LF App once it is working. iOS version is not yet available. 😏

I think there was premine for a certain period of time for early adopters, like Bitcoin was premined, then everyone had to buy on the open market.
The majority of the premine which was controlled by steemit inc, is what is now converted to the DHF.
